Courtesy of ACToys we have our first glimpse of TFC Toys upcoming Project Uranus (aka Superion). It's blurred, but it looks like they already have the first prototype ready.

Looks great!

Now watch them ruin it with completely off colors.

Blurred photos piss me off. Either show me the pic or don't. I wish all sites would just ignore these companies when they put out blurred teaser pics. Such a jagoff thing to do...

I wonder if this will be compatible with their earlier combiner release? Have they made it so you can put a Hercules in Uranus?

(I'm sorry...but did they think the name through?)

I'll start getting excited when we start seeing actual pictures. I could be persuaded by the Aerialbots, because they were the most developed of the G1 combiner teams, I think. Also, will need a Silverbolt for my eventual Magnificent Six display.

which product were you basing this statement on? Herc looks amazing because it isn't that awful pale yellow green of the G1 figures.

dude, they are developing interest, don't click on a link that says BLURRED IMAGE IN THE DAMNED TITLE AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. Such a jagoff thing to do...
and for the record, Seibertron.com did ignore the pics. In case you haven't heard, Ryan has prohibited the News staff from posting news about 3rd party products. El Duque posted this as a fan and enthusiast of the 3rd party scene.

it is unlikely that they will be designed to be compatible with Hercules figures but I assume they will use a similar connection point for sockets. I'm speculating here but i'm pretty sure they will go the extra mile and make them work like scramble city combiners so that each limb can be used as either an arm or a leg.

Hmm, the figure has a very nice shape to it. I'm interested but annoyed they're using the same model of aircraft as the G1 Aerialbots. I was hoping for a proper Classics style update. I mean how out-of-date is the Phantom?

I stand with Kibble on this. They'd get far more interest generated if we could actually see something.

What they showed us of their Dinobots.

Please, call me jagoff...

Ha ha ha I was just gonna say the same thing! Why blur the image, it's not like hasbro blurs their stuff before we get to see it. Or any other company for that matter. Could you imagine if Lexus or Toyota just released blurred pictures of the new ES or Camry? Pffft, money would walk.

To me, just show the damn picture, then I'll get excited. However, for now I'll giggle quietly to myself because they're calling it Uranus.

I see that you're mocking the site owner, except that the underlying figure is that of an official Energon Bruticus Maximus. Of which Seibertron also posted that he's (kinda) okay with updating an Official figure... Which still meant that you'd have to have the official figure to begin with.

It's not that. I'm most likely going to like it and buy it. It's the fact that they think this is a good promotion tactic that annoys the piss out of me. It's like saying "We have something cool but you can't have it." It's like the rich kid at school who always shows up with the coolest toys but won't let you near them.

Right. Plus they already teased the damn thing once so I'm already curious and interested. They're not gaining anything by showing me a stupid blurred out pic and dragging out the process other than annoying me. They have plenty to tease if they want to reveal one figure at a time so screw the blurry pic stage.

So, here's a good question:

If you have Herc and now Uranus (seriously, why Uranus? Makes no sense) with both being, presumably, around the same size, where does that leave FP's Bruticus in your collection?

Same place it leaves Henkei or United Megs (or Pokeheger), ML Soundwave, and the seekers? Cool figs that aren't exactly in scale with one another...

However, how big will Superianus actually be?

BTW, I took your advice:

Which isn't to say it'd be IMPOSSIBLE to release a new shovel. But it'd have to come with new arms and at least a part of the legs as well, and it'd probably be greatly overpriced for such a small change and I can't see anyone but TFC actually releasing it because it'd probably have to come with arms and legs already attached.

Yes, I've seen the WIP pics of all the pieces taken apart as well as posts saying they took them apart to paint. And damn do they look good now!

I've scratched up a TF by trying to remove a rivet, so I'm still skeptical that a "fix" is even possible for the average TF fan. It sounds to me like you should just pay one of them to repaint it for you instead of waiting for a fix that'll probably never happen.

I don't see what's so confusing about the name... Uranus: God of the sky in Greek mythology. Makes perfect sense going along with Hercules.

Hafta say I still don't care enough about the Aerialbots to forgo what I already have for whatever TFC toys puts out, blurry images or not :-(

Aww, man! You beat me to it. I wanted to school the mythologically challenged. I shake my fist at you. Although I will add this for anyone thinking Zeus was the God of the sky: you're right. However, Uranus was one of the colossal Titans who ruled in the age before the Gods of Olympus. Makes the name pretty f*$&ing apt really.

And Uranus jokes? Seriously?! Hadn't they go out of fashion by the start of the 19th century?

Don't think Label Soundwave is in scale?

I guess you're right. There's still room for FP's Superion. Green shovel looks good, glad you took my advice.

@Shadowstream: Thanks for the info. I didn't realize Uranus was god of the sky. My Greek/Roman myth is pretty rusty.
