Man, I'd love to see a cannon combiner ;) maybe a civil war one. I do agree though, that 6 bots does seem unnecessary, and I still dislike the scale TFC toys uses. That leg looks taller than the Devastator leg, so how tall will this bloomin' combiner be?

A civil war combiner..hearts of steel would be epic!

I really like how they have engineered this to have a fourth mode (Jet, 2 bot modes and a limb). I think they will release a line of Seekers after Uranus has finished. It would be good to have a voyager sized Starscream standing next to Hegemon.

I know it isn't the Arialbots but so far they are using the same jets. The F-15 is only a leg. If they do seekers, we would get an army of legs, not a combiner.

Huh? I think the discussion was that if TFC decided to use the F-15 Mold for just Seekers, then they'll remove the third alternate mode.

I dunno, I think I could make due with a pile of seeker legs, I'm sure I'd find some use for them :P.

Really though, it does look eerily perfect as a voyager sized seeker mold. I'd be tempted if they did release them as seekers.

Would need some retooling for the chest, and of course the head ... but yea, I'd be down for voyager seekers.

Not for $100 a pop, mind you, we can get MP sized iGear seekers for that price.

Not necessarily man. Since only 5 bots will make up the bulk of the combiner, the legs need to be slightly bigger for Superion to be the same size as Herc. Only one bot will make up Uranus' chest instead of the two that combined to make Hercs. I think that will balance out the scale.

That remains to be seen. If 'chest piece' is the chest shield, then that's accurate. If it makes up the majority of the chest, then it might be closer to Herc in design.

But I suspect the size will be very close to Herc either way...

Pretty much my thinking too. It's great that 3rd Party companies are making stuff to fill holes in our collections, even better when it's stuff that Hasbro doesn't seem likely to do, or at least to do right.

Problem is that they're competing with not only official releases but other 3rd parties, so whilst maybe there isn't anyone else making Aerialbots right now, there's a lot of other stuff that I'd like, and I prefer things to fit mostly into scale in robot mode. Maketoys did a better job of that with Giant than TFC with Herc (no doubting the imposing size of TFC's Devy is impressive though) and FP has done it better with the Crossfire sets for Bruticus and now the upcoming Stunticons. The prices on all of those are much more palatable as well.

TFC's stuff seems like it's good, quality product, but I can't justify their prices for something that doesn't fit in my collection as well as other, cheaper items.

I think you two nailed it with these comments.

I'll also add that the higher these toys grow and the heavier they get, the more structurally unstable they're becoming, especially for large combiners with complex, multi-mode transformation and relatively small, plastic supporting parts and gearing. At some point in time, time, gravity, and wear-and-tear will take a huge toll on these super-sized figures.

I'm pretty sure Herc is going to be stable for a long, long time.

I'm not sure how much others mess with their figs, but I generally get them, transform them once or twice and set them on the shelf and leave them be until I need to redo the shelf or maybe take a few comparison pics for friends.

So, structurally, I suspect size won't be an issue for TFC.

While we haven't seen the combined mode yet, I suspect what others suggested may be true, and that with one larger bot as the torso (as is the current rumor), the limbs may be a little larger than Herc.

Remember, Devastator was the odd-bot-out with how he combined, so we should expect a few differences.

People..These are NOT...repeat NOT THE AEIRALBOTS/SUPERION.. Your right to say that 6 bots will not make up a Superion or Stunticons but these are NOT the Aerialbots nor will FP's take on the Stunticons , in fact be the stunticons..

Exactly, so...my counter-question is...

If they are "not" the Aerialbots (and not in the same manner as Herc is considered "Not Devastator), but as in, not meant to be a representation of the aerialbots at all...WHY DO I OR ANYONE ELSE WANT THEM?

Most of us are happily plodding along, putting together some "type" of collection...G1, G2, movie-esque, etc...why do we want a collection of random robots to add to what is supposed to be a TRANSFORMERS collection that arent "meant" to represent part of the TF universe at all?

Warbot Defender was my "Not-Springer"...Hercules was my "Not-Devastator"...but that was simply fandom jargon meant as a playful way of getting around a copyright infringement. These 'bots being "not the aerialbots" is a totally different tact...they are REALLY not the aerialbots at all...different jet models, 6 robots combining instead of five...not even accurate enough in my mind to act as stand-ins for my "Not Superion".

This time its the Aerialbots...whats next? A 6-bot team of stunticons they try to pass off as well? Maybe they cant spare the time to figure out how to do a "Not-Motormaster" the right way and make Menasor's torso a double-bot also...how much of this will it take before people see it for what it is? Lazyness on the part of the produce simply saying "oh well, our first six-bot combiner sold so well, lets just keep doing that without spending any R&D money to figure out how to make a REAL scramble city type team. We will sell a 6-bot "plane" combiner and people will buy it because Herc was so good and, heck, these people are starting to accept anything as 'close enough for G1'..."

Personally...I am only waiting to see what comes after Uranus...if it is another fail set of 6 bots meant to be a classic scramble city team...I might be off the TFC train forever.

I honestly believe 5 bots are easier to work with than 6. You just need a decently sized 5th bot, and perhaps some peg holes in both robot and vehicle mode to stick on an already aerodynamic chest piece. If they try to work in the landing pad, well, thats their own challenge. I think they had a conceptual design that looked so nuts, but then weren't able to sort the componants when they break down. Thats where the extra work goes in to make it remain 5, even if it means backtracking.

I notice that there usually isn't too much change from the concept pics we get from the start till they actually ship. They clearly lack the funds (or time, or whatever) to go back too much without comprimising the entire project. Too bad. Should get all the easier stuff out of the way first before tackling a difficult gestalt... like some CLONES, COMEON!!! I WANT MY NEO POUNCE AND WINGSPAN!!!

Can we please stop posting comments like this until we actually see how THIS Superion is actually going to be assembled? Please?! They said it will contain 6 robots: 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 other robots that will be localized to the torso but there has been absolutely no information that definitively states that this torso will be constructed the way Hercules' torso was. Why would you even assume that? They have said Silverbolt will be a larger figure, just like he was in G1. They have said the 6th bot will be the chest piece. this could easily be the chest shield. The 6th bot could definitely be an accessory mech that keeps all of the hands, feet and armor together.

We haven't seen anything aside from few prototypes and a silhouette. Please let the SPECULATION rest for now until we have more information. We get it, if he isn't assembled the way he was in G1 you wont buy it, thanks for sharing.

The other thing i don't understand with the 6th figure rage..

If you are planning to display/play with these guys in robot mode, what is stopping you from setting the 6th figure to the side and enjoying the other 5 Aerialbots? If you are keeping him in Gestalt mode, do you really think they would deviate that far from the source material? do you think you will have to squint really hard to see Superion in there?

The issues with the coloring, I can understand your gripes (though you do realize those were prototypes right?). Color certainly seems like an easy enough thing to get right, perhaps there other elements that I am unaware of in the 3rd party world that have an effect on it. Reprolabels will fix it, no doubt in my mind. Whats that you say? You don't want to have to buy an extra set of stickers to fix a product that should have been done right the first time? YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Some people just want to watch the world burn.

I really wish we could get a month for these instead of just "4th quarter".
The eBay listings say they will ship with-in 30 days. Not sure how accurate that is, but TFC needs to get on the ball with hard proto's of the other members, or at least the large member of the group.

Not sure if TFC though out the whole "Project Uranus" thing.
