In arm mode there is only 30% elbow, Zero wrist articulation, and about 20% elbow articulation. Add that with the hand only having two points of articulation, instead of three like Herc..

I'm out!

Phantom is the one and only, if I don't decided to get rid of it.

dear TFC,

YOU SUCK!

Add that to the existing QC issues with Phantom and I'm starting to wonder if I should cancel my Eagle and Blackbird pre-orders until those three or even all five have been released and some more reviews have been done. My budget is far too limited to waste this much money on something that could be a massive letdown.

What are the QC issues?

The Wrist turns 360 degrees in rotation, but no tilt what-so-ever.
I think it's dumb that we took two steps forward, then one step back.

Plus the Arms for Phantom, don't clip into the sides, they just keep popping out. they only stay on when you force the wings into the slit to hold the arms against the side of the plane.

I dont have the figure in hand yet, but some of these issues being brought up seem to be on par with Hasbro issues. I fully understand the concerns of stripping gears. But all this "this tab wont hold tight" or "they should have added more joints" is a little petty. I support TFC for bringing us this G! goodness.

I do have the figure in hand (currently in arm mode waiting for the rest of his buddies to merge with him) and I gotta agree with you on this point X. The figure is quite solid to me and while I understand what RodimalToyota is getting at comparing it to Herc, for me, the positives far outweigh the negatives and I don't regret committing to Uranos at all.

petty? After paying 100$ for a Voyager sized figure that came out after Hercules I expect the same quality if not better. If I want Hasbro Quality, then it should be 40$

People have mentioned squeaky hips that require you to dismantle him just so they can be greased/oiled to stop the noise. I keep thinking there was something else, but could be mixing Phantom up with something else. Don't want a $530 set that squeaks and isn't very pose-able, so holding off for the moment to see what Eagle is like. As I've said, I want these guys; just want to make sure any QC issues have been worked out.

I understand how you feel, but remember each new mold is a voyage into uncharted waters. It's not like they have an F-4 Fanthom Transformer to go off of other then G1 Fireflight. While $99.00 isnt cheap by any means, you cant expect a Bentley at Lexus prices. Some of the smaller complaints might simply have been deemed out of budget for that figure. Now if you decide to spend $400 on Project Genesis, there is more room for critisism based on price.

My interest in this project has officially expired. I'm not going to pretend that they're bad figures or designs, I'm simply not as excited about them as I need to be to spend the required amount of money. I may pick them up eventually. For some reason I've got the urge to at least pick up Blackbird and create some kind of Universe/TFC hybrid.

I am feeling the same way about my interest in them. I don't think they are bad figures. The engineering and the alt mode designs are well done. Aside from the price - the size and robot heads just don't fit in with the other figures that I am collecting.

One of the things I LOVED about Herc were all the add on kits, so you could adjust his look to your personal taste.

Mine is actually still stock, but I have the Rage kit, the purple barrel and some of the shapeways sets so I can change him up if the spirit moves me.

I plan to do the same with Superion if kits get released for him too.

I'm expecting at least a new head and a more geewunny chest shield.

Ha ha ha!
Get ready to destroy those leg ratchets folks!
Jokes! ;)

He's like an updated Seeker as far as I can see, nothing really amazing in my opinion, but each to their own 3P eh!
Maybe it was just the review...? :-?

Does he have any foot articulation or is he just the same as the Classics Seeker? :???:

For the price I can safely say I will definately not be buying him or any of the TFC combiners, except maybe Iron Army as they are much more fitting and price worthy for what they offer as a Transformer!

Same here. If I have to buy some add-ons to make him look 'just right' then that's OK with me. I bought the Rage set for Herc for the shoulder extensions (though I kept the treads as the forearms, I just wanted his shoulders widened) and it looks great.

If they do a more G1-ish chest shield then I'll probably bite on that as well. I haven't bought the canon/gun yet only because I'm not sure what weapons TFC is going to include, but if they don't have a black arm canon for the combined mode, I'll buy that one as well (assuming it can be mounted on his arm like in the show).

It is less like an updated Classics seeker, and more like a scaled down MP Seeker.

There is a lot of detail, and a good number of moving parts, but not so many as to be confusing or make it feel flimsy, the way the first MP Seeker mold did.

To answer your question, yes, there is foot articulation. The foot is attached to a ball joint that is in turn attached to a moving post (used for the transform).

I do have a couple minor complaints. Neither the individual bots, nor the Superion arm have appreciable wrist articulation.

The wrist attachment on Superion NEEDS to be extended so it can twist past the engines. It will also allow a LOT more poses of the arm. Hopefully this will come out as a simple replacement part with one of the other bots.

Ah, cheers for that.
Maybe it was the review, but despite its massive length ( ) the reviewer failed to angle the feet/ankles which made me think of the Classics Seekers and their lack of articulation.

I wouldnt complain if a set of these fell into my lap, its just the price with shipping which puts these out of my grasp, more so this year since im about to have a baby!

I am surprised to see that Eagles hands do not fold in or disguisein the alt mode. A lazy design in my opinion. Overall there is a lot of detail and give credit there, but the transformations seem a bit simple and robot modes could be a little better.
