I can see them on my phone, but not my laptop.

On the figure itself, I feel TFC dropped the ball. Im not exactly sure why the police would need a racing bike, but it doesnt exactly scream law enforcement. I always wondered why nobody has thought about giving groove a side car to form half the robot. They could then shrink it down to scale as a standard police harley davidson. That would have been cool.

I bought into Hercules and Uranus, but thats it. I dont like the newer TFC combiners. Nice review though. You take good pics.

This is one TFC figure that I've been tempted to get as a standalone figure. However I'm not willing to pay $100 for it.

Great review, and I agree with the assessment that this strays too far from the original character.

I still feel he is the weak link in Prometheus but, I must admit, the combined mode does look good.

$100? That's quite expensive. Here it's selling at roughly 75USD

Thanks. I feel that the reason behind the alt mode is to give a sturdier combine mode...maybe

Once you factor in cross-ocean shipping, that's about what it comes to :(

Not too bad looking. I have a feeling when preorders for their First Aid show up, then their Hot Spot will arrive soon after.

Oh dear, that is a very large car...

I might be going for MakeToys' offering after all. I need to see these guys next to deluxe cars first- if the scale's too iffy then I'm out. A shame as the design is superb, it's just that the vehicle scale seems a tad wonky (unless the Hercules Constructicons aren't as big as I thought, or that's not actually the scale- it looks a bit photoshopped TBH).

Does anyone have Gumball who can confirm his size?

That looks pretty awful in my opinion. For having such large central bots, I'm not sure why the legs have to be so disproportionately long. It's the same problem I had with Uranos.

kinda reminds me of an old man with his pants hiked up past his nipples. and his chest is a rectangle.

he'll probably look better when fully combined, but its pretty awful right now. after seeing this, anyone else appreciating UT's full proto shot of their abominus right off the bat?

Don't like the overly smiley, happy face on TFC Defensor. The big smile reminds me of the Joker from Batman.

Eh, he looks OK to me. I don't think it's fair to judge until the team is actually complete. He hasn't got any arms yet after all. It's like judging a car when only the front of the body has been installed. It is true the legs look a tad long, but I think it's offset by the width of the body. Looks like a broad, bulky 'bot. One of Defensor's coolest features (aside from the sweet teal body) was how damned chunky he was, and this hits the mark.

I intend to wait until both MakeToys and TFC have finished their Defensors before I commit to anything. If the Hercules vs Giant shemozzle is anything to go by, the MakeToys version will be a tad more aesthetically pleasing but the TFC version wil be more fun to play with, and as someone who loves to fiddle with and regularly repose and transform my figures that's a major consideration.

He's a bit dumpy looking, but the original Defensor was too.

I will admit this is the combiner I've been least excited about from TFC, including their Predaking, and I'm not even getting that one.

But then, Defensor is probably my least favorite combiner, so it stands to reason his 3P incarnation doesn't WOW me.

This guy looks pretty cool. I recall someone saying this is based on a Dodge custom bike. I'll be honest, I always thought Groove being a motorcycle was just plain daft, but I can kind of see him as a "transformer-scaled" bike- as in, other Autobots ride on him. I imagine the Protectobots as the most "public" Autobots- people know who they are and like them because in addition to fighting 'Cons they also assist human rescue operations, so they don't need to hide as much- thus letting Groove take a more outlandish alt-mode.
