As stoked as I am for Botcon news, I hope they're finished with the Shattered Glass stuff. I love the universe characters and figures, but honestly I'm hoping for something that feels more than a simple repaint.

I just got issue #47 in the mail a few days ago. WTF are they telling us about #48 when we wont see it for another 2 months ??? Im more interested in the location than the theme. They keep f**kin with peoples travel plans. Im trying to find out if Botcon is gonna be in a cool city to visit or if Im going to be buying on e-bay this year.

Yes, join today and get the "scoop".
Even though most of us won't receive it for weeks and it will be reported all over the net within a few days of it being mailed out.

I think they said a couple years ago that they'd be telling the story of the First Thirteen... #selfinducedspoiler

...until Hasbro confiscated that story from them to put into the Aligned continuity, which is why Nexus Prime quest for the Star Saber will likely go finished.
Though, we do at least know that the next story is set in the Wings Universe.

And what existing toy mold is accurate enough to be simply redecoed (with a possible head remold) into an accurate G2 Jhiaxus?

Well, there's ROTF Mindwipe which I feel is the best choice. Also Universe Powerglide and Scourge, but Scourge is too small. And I hope it isn't, but Universe Silverbolt.

Well I know that. But I'm not that picky. As long as it undeniably looks like him, I don't care. I highly doubt we'll get him any other way.
