Makes sense. The original G1 Circuit was a remold/repaint of G1 Axer.

Look at the bright side - at least it's not ANOTHER Optimus Prime toy.

Axor one of the few movie figures i actually wanted but never got cause he was never released here. Nice to see hasbros consistent though, he was a repaint of axor then and he is once again. Wonder if thats why they repainted/remolded Lockdown into Axor in the first place?

Wow. Is this really what we've come to?? It looks like one of those horrible rainbow color knock offs from Hong Kong and Beijing. Then, you realize it's a Hasbro produced figure... So, it's the best cheese of knock offs, with Hasbro quality. Yay.

Is this really what we're left with?? TFCC has to scrape the bottom of the barrel to make exclusives? With collectors grade quality? Ugh.

Hasbro won't let them do something awesome, because they might do it themselves (i.e. never) and to get quality and reasonably sized toys...we have to join a very expensive subscription service? Double ugh.

It was going to be a pass for me anyway, but I hope at least some people can see why this is just ridiculous.

Fortunately, some of the other exclusives actually have a purpose.

Maybe they should start asking collectors what THEY want repainted instead. Yeah, we're confined to repaints, but at least we should be able to choose. After all, this is the Transformer's Collector's Club. A poll with some options should be nice... or even better, written suggestions from club members.

Jackpot and Circuit were just forced.

Stuff I want? Ironfist from Classics Hound, Reflector from RTS Perceptor, Impactor from Warpath, Topspin from Tomahawk... TFP Jazz from Knockout...

Nah, this is NEVER going to happen... :BANG_HEAD: I've decided against the 6 pack already... Seriously, this stuff are not boxed! They are bagged sets, and are going for boxed prices... $35 a deluxe would be more reasonable (That's what Runamuck's going for, right?)... and $60 tops for UM. Oh well, initiate super cheapo mode...

gorgeous colour scheme, shame about the ugly mould. I only wanted 2 of the figures this year, and now that FansProject are making all of the Stunticons only Scourge looks nice. Not good enough to get my subscription, though.

It looks as though its main component is hardened salt water taffy.

I have to say this is a very eye-scalding figure, but definitely one of the better ones.

I was going to say: Finally! A yellow transformer that ISN'T Bumblebee!

For what it's worth, people had been asking for a Scourge/Nemesis Prime repaint of that mold. Slipstream and Depth Charge were at least customized a few times out of the very same molds TFCC is using, so they too had a bit of the "fans choice" aspect to them.

There is also the fact that they (and other clubs/conventions) don't want redundancy with Hasbro's plans. Remember the Seekers? IIRC somebody tried to SUE Hasbro for releasing Thundercracker in Generations. That would leave out a lot of the more obvious choices.
I'm actually surprised Scourge, Slipstream, and Depth Charge were used; those molds looked designed with them in mind (if as eventual repaints) and they're rather popular characters.

A vote would be cool, especially if we make the choices as opposed to being handed a list, though there's going to be so many restrictions it might make it unfeasible.

I believe the same went for a G1 Breakdown version of the mold

Wait... really?! I gotta look this up.

M<ore on this, I suspect that we will be seeing more of a fans choice type of thing, since every botcon feedback form they get asks fans what figures they want to see; I'm sure that'll play into the TFSS.

Looking back myself, I don't recall correctly. The story I was referring to was an elaborate April Fools. My bad. HUGE discussion over at TFW at the time, though:

Yes, I know Scourge, Breakdown and Slipstream were rather popular... But then Jackpot and Circuit were kinda forced to me, even BBTS thinks so, with the lower price... I don't see the point in making "worse" toys in the same line when they could have picked better choices for repaints. Oh well. Ultra Mammoth though, I don't think many have been wanting a Magnus version of BC...but it was quite a hit when revealed. I still don't get the Magnus colours for it... :S

As for thundercracker, I don't think you can legitly do that, since Hasbro is not at fault. I don't think it was stated that hasbro would never release convention exclusive at regular retail... Like how Classics Ironhide and Ratchet kinda made the Botcon ones obsolete.
