I will concede to the gents who said that not everyone collects for the same reasons. This is an argument that I've made myself at times on different subjects and it was a point that I lost in my angry haze. Kudos, guys.

However, I stand firm on the fact that there are so many other figures that deserve to be made first. So many TRANSFORMERS (because she isn't one) that should be made first. I would take any other Transformer ahead of the Nightbird and no matter what price tag they put on that figure it will be almost laughable.

I bet the people how paid out the crapper do, especially when that other 'exclusive' was 1/3 the price. It would have been a different story if both were announced at the same. I would have passed over the TFcon exclusive, that's certain.

Unfortunately, it's a crapshoot (in a myriad of ways) with most exclusives.

Personally, as someone who paid "out the crapper," I don't care. I have one of 500 figs, no matter how one slices it, it's similar to the more mass produced one, but not the same.

Exclusivity = Intact

I paid for it cash and I don't mind. It's still an exclusive, one that goes for more money then DIA Commander and comes with an extra item. Making it more valuable to those who collect these sorts of things. Lets be straight up honest here. If any one thought that it wouldn't have been released in a Henkei style then they were ignorant for thinking otherwise. FP said straight up everything they do is for funding for the next project. The way I look at it, without funding from DIA then we may have never got Defendor or see a release of Munitioner, Explorer, and Protector.

Yeah, because when something's a con exclucive you damn well know it's gonna be released elsewhere at a lesser price. That's what "exclucive" means after all. And since Takara did it before you know they'd do it again with their DIA Commander (Even though they never made DIA Commander at all).

Your rage is misplaced. TFCon is not an official convention. So Nightbird's not taking up any spot for any Transformer toy.

TFCon is not an official convention. So Nightbird's not taking up any spot for any Transformer toy.

Yes DtT is right, but I do understand where you're coming from joe. I am actually shocked that we have yet to see Jazz or Wheeljack from Hasbro yet, and they are big time fan favorites. But with this dang hobby, we gotta just take the wait and see approach. With the generations line, it's just a matter of time before we can get what most of us wants. Me? I want Trailbreaker more then Jazz or Wheeljack. He seems to get left out of the remakes all the time. Hell, I just want the generations line to be the main line and let everything else (animated and movie) go to the wayside for at least a year. Besides G1, I also want Armada updates as well. Gimmie a new Armada Megs n Screamer and I'll promise that I will NOT talk bad about Hasbro for a year!!

This is looking like it will be all kinds of awesome to me. It's a good repaint choice, while adding the "Nightbird" accurate head and weapons.

Can't wait to get my hands on one. TFCon all the way!

Is it even exclusive, can't you just order this??
