That giant Animated Optimus is a fun figure. He is great to display on size alone. Love it.

Rodimus £8 from Wilkinsons (UK Superstore) now £20 on eBay
Ultra Magnus/Skywarp pack £10 from Woolworths (UK Superstore) now £40 for Magnus alone on eBay!

Lots of people kicking themselves over that two-pack. Myself included. BBTS had the release of the Magnus for $60 I think. The deco has more white, but it is a nice looking figure and probably cheaper than getting on original on ebay.

I also regret jumping on the ultra Magnus from that set, he didn't have his gun but was only £20, although I did get the Skywarp later on.. I also regret not getting a incomplete G1 Metroplex for £15, that's a big one that haunts me still.

Even though I don't like the modern movies, I do wish I had grabbed the ROTF supreme Devastator, when he was just $90.

Question, could this thread also be used to post TFs that you once bought or somehow acquired and now regret reselling?

It kinda count. At least, you had to enjoy the figure a bit.

Still, do share. We promise not to cringe.

Very well, then.

Gents, I once had a G2 Bruticus.

I couldn't afford for the G1 one, so I settled for the overly-neon G2 deco.

I ended up reselling it so I could buy myself a Star Trek: Wrath of Khan uniform.

I love the uniform, but that was my only G1 (technically G2, but same mold) combiner. :BANG_HEAD: stupid stupid stupid

I regret passing on Universe Ratchet. He was at a Suncoast for forever and I kept passing on it. The day I finally decide that I'll pick it up, GONE.

If you mean the 2009 figure, you saved yourself some good money, since that mold is not very good.

I do too. I've only got the Botcon Soundwave version, but I like the mold.

Then again, I don't mind the Galvatron mold, either.

Well, it has a head, which automatically puts it several points above the G1 mold.

Plus, its robot mode actually looks like it did on the show, also automatically putting it several points above the G1 mold.

This is closer (to both show and toy designs, and a better figure overall):

I'm well aware of Timelines Ratchet and his superiority.

However, he is far rarer and far more expensive.

If I had to, I'd gladly settle for the Universe mold.

"Superiority" is hardly the word I would use for the look of Timelines Ratchet. At the time it was, but that guy hardly fits in with a current Classics collection. With a couple minor G1-esque paint mods the Universe Ratchet is much better.

Agreed all the way. Sure, the Universe Ratchet/Ironhide mold is a pannelly mess, but the resulting bot and vehicle modes are not too shabby. I own Universe Ironhide. I don't really like him, but he does have his place on my Classics shelves.

I also own the who-you-may-claa-Ratchet-Ironhide-G1-Hommage Energon dude. His bot mode is pretty fugly despite having a perfect vehicle mode. His true purpose is to combine with another bot as a torso. With Rodimus, he's pretty boss.

I always loved putting a Powerlinx torso on the sled/wheelchair.

Masterpiece Grimlock- thankfully, got another chance at this one. Sold out even faster this time.

Masterpiece Rodimus Prime- didn't care for the US release, so tried to save money for the Takara version. Well, that sold out before I got the money together. Sigh.

G1 Commemorative Powermaster Optimus Prime- wish I'd have bought it the one time I saw it, but it's not impossible to find now.

RiD Scourge- the fastest-moving TRU exclusive I've ever seen, until MP Optimus Prime in 2012.

MP Grimlock. For the longest time, I hated the look of his dino mode (reminded me too much of how he was turned into a joke character after the animated movie).

But recently, I just wanted to have an MP Grimlock in my collection, dinky dino mode be damned. Well, I've got too many pre-orders on my plate right now, and by the time I can afford one, he'll probably be long since sold out.

First,

I may already have said it, but when I wasnt collecting, I passed on MP Skywarp at Walmart. It was 70$+taxes and I didnt get what the hell was "Masterpeice" at the time. At least, now I have MP-03G and MP-11 so I'm cool.

Same thing with ROTF Leader Megatron. There was a huge pyramid of them at Walmart, on "sale" at 50$. I thought it was too fugly to worth a buy. Then, I start collecting more. DotM roll around. No new Megs Leader. I want one suddenly. POW! 200$ used on Ebay! Sigh. At least, I got to traded in one for a very reasonable price and I even scored another one for cheap to make a custom. However, I don't have the heart to "kill" a perfectly working and 100% complete Leader ROTF Megatron. So I'm selling it instead.

Some that were at normal price but I always passed on them with regret, because I only saw them one or two times at the store and never saw them again:

RTS deluxe Wreck-Gar
DOTM Commander thank-jeep something, I forgot.
Generations voyager Springer (comming soon via BBTS)
And some others.

Once again, welcome!
Do you have a TF you'd like to have but you know Hasbro or Takara will never make?
