They look pretty good. Going to be hard to keep to a strict budget with all these great looking new releases!

Has there been any released images yet for the upcoming Deluxe Combiner Wars figures listed as Wave 4 releasing in September and consisting of:

1x IRONHIDE
1x PROWL
1x MIRAGE
1x SUNSTREAKER

Also, what would they combine into, or are they just sort of "spares" that could be used in any combiner gestalt?

Maybe the Prowl will be what people are looking to add to Devastator? Hmm....

But in short:

No pictures on those new limbs yet
They form either Optimus Maximus or Ultra Prime that is currently in the comics
Prowl won't combine with devastator, it was confirmed

Lots of great suggestions ... I love seeing all of the suggestions. Helps me have some focus when I get a chance to work on toys that aren't new releases. I've got a week coming up after SDCC where I will get to do nothing but photos 24/7 for a week while my family is on vacation with my in-laws. Looking forward to getting caught up on some things are moving the ball forward on some others.

Seibertron will never do galleries of KOs or 3rd Party Transformers.

Still, the old Gobots/Car Robot toys being owned by HasTak, how about showing the vintage Gobots some love? Many designs are amazing and it would make for worthwile galleries! Sure, it will be lots of work because there's lots of Gobots out there, and the rare and ultra expensive Japanese exclusives would be hard as balls to get a hold of, but in the end, it would serves it's Great Purpose here.

They are the owner of the name GO BOTS as well. The intention of that deal was just to stop their competition from getting bigger in the states, it wasnt to sell their own toys.

EDIT: GAH! Misread the thread title.

I would like to see:

Combiners for continuities other than G1 IDW, even if only as store exclusives.

RiD Spychangers out of the Stunticons and a third Prime tooling as RiD Magnus (new fake chest and head). (I'd rather see Onslaught reverse-deco'd back as a firetruck for G2 Pyro as a G2 Combiner.)

Armada-themed line, etc.

I think it'd be a lot of fun to play with the "Mix and Match" element of CW by mixing the continuities up.

I would like to see the 07 Wal-Mart Exclusive release of Breakaway, especially with pics including the G1 Getaway!

And speaking of 3rd-party stuff, it'd be nice to see galleries of some of the add-ons for ROTF/DOTM Leader-class Optimus Prime. Like the twin transforming guns, the Jetfire parts, and the DOTM flight tech.

A bit off topic - but to address an earlier point - I think it may be the case that the ownership of "Some" Gobots toy designs may be unique to Hasbro via Tonka as some of the toys never had a Japanese version I think Zod is a case in point - but I suspect DC might object to a toy called these days.

However if they wanted to make a Black Trypticon and call it Renegades-Zodd or something like that they'd likely have no likeness right issues doing that on a toy that Bandai holds no ownership on design wise.

I like the Transformers related Media take on Gobots though as they tend to push any Cyborg pretensions onto the back burner and just treat them as sentient Robots from another Dimension.

All of the Generations FOC Bruticus mold galleries might be due for a slight update.

Someone on Facebook posted that this seems to be the intended configuration for Bruticus's weapon:



There are two little tabs on Vortex's gun-swords that connect to Brawl's little gun that help complete the sort "rail gun" look of the combined weapon.

Just tried it on my Ruination version of the weapon and the result is a more stable and sturdy weapon.

Interesting. I'll keep this in mind when Combiner Wars Bruticus is out and I do comparison pics with G1 Bruticus and FOC Bruticus.
