I seriously don't know who you're talking to. One guy had a minor gripe about the movie and he loved it despite that, so, seriously, who is this directed at?

I dunno, maybe his post was transported through time and space, and it was meant for one of the Transformers movies, I could see it applying there. But here? I haven't heard a single negative word about the movie.

Go back a page, all the talk of "Banner can/can't control his Hulk transformations". Overcracker's posts, this is what I am guessing it is directed to.

This is the explanation as to whom headsortails was referring to so everyone else move along to the next part of discussion in this thread thanks... I am really sick of the constant pissing contests around here as to who is right and who is wrong and who thinks they are smarter than everyone else.
Do NOT quote this to keep this part of the discussion going. Only warning about this, DROP IT.
Thanks again.

Now something I have been trying to figure..
The exact chronological order of these movies..

I was originally thinking
Captain America
Iron Man
Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor

But after re-re-re-re-re-re watching all of them again there are periods of time that are interlaced..

Cap would be first until he crashes.
Iron Man
Iron Man 2 and Hulk are interlaced time wise as well as Thor..
In IM2 Stark and Fury talk while in the background on a video screen is Hulk's rampage on Cambridge..
At the end credits of IM2 there is the Hammer of Thor which actually takes place sometime towards the end of IM2 so those movies are interlaced..
At the end of Cap they are in present day..

Unfortunately the best way to watch them would be piece by piece, Captain America up till he crashes, beginning of Hulk (credits), Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Hulk, Iron Man 2, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man 2 and finish with the rest of Thor followed by the end sequence of Cap after he wakes up..

*phew*

I know I have my DVD's in this order on my shelf (and this is how I have watched them)
Iron Man
Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor
Captain America

Did anyone go to the all day marathon on the 3rd? if so what order did they play the movies?

I actually watched them a day at a time from Sunday till Thursday. Iron Man was first, then Iron Man 2, then Thor, then Hulk, then Captain America.

As for the timeline, I found this vid on YouTube over the weekend. I think it gets it mostly right.

I did the same, I am talking about the theater event, I know the AMC theaters around here started at 11:30 with Iron Man and went all the way through till the midnight showing.

Yeah, I saw that vid and read the same wiki article. It is what I figured, each movie would have to be cut and spliced together..

My question again is what is the correct chronological order of the movies , not the events..
IE:
Iron Man
Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor
Cap

That kind of watching order..

So I saw The Avengers yesterday.

Before I say anything else, Harry Dean Stanton FTW. That was just cool. Also, seeing the new preview of The Expendables 2 was really good. Too bad there wasn't a preview of The Amazing Spider-Man. I'm actually looking forward to that more than Dark Knight Rises.

Now, my opinions of the movie, as a general movie-goer. I'm not a die-hard Avengers fan.

It was fun. 8/10. I saw some similarities to DotM. I have heard that the Hulk didn't appear much, but I must say he had the best spots and it was enough. Combine that with Mark Ruffalo's performance and I think Whedon got the most out of the character. Also, Hulk is responsible for my 2 favorite moments of the film, when he ragdolled Loki (I LMFAO) and when he saved Stark at the end. (Saw it in the trailers, but it was still awesome.) I never liked Coulson, so I didn't care about him dying. I didn't think Cobie Smulders was hot until I saw her in this film. Overall, it was a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to the sequel. The scene during the credits was cool, hopefully Thanos will be an actual actor and not a CG character in the sequel. As for the scene at the very end, it was funny for what it was, but it wasn't worth sitting through the credits and a horrible song. In the sequel I'd like to see at least The Wasp. In the end, it was a really fun ride, but I won't see it in theaters again, I'll definitely get the Blu-Ray though.

Wearing tight black leather will do that. (RE: ScarJo in Iron Man 2.)

I bet if it was directed by Bay they would have supported it...

...Really, Pentagon? Really? Transformers is fine, but the Avengers is a step too far in the wrong direction on the scale of realism?

I think it wasn't about realism, it was about Fury shooting down an F-22 following orders and another launching a nuke on New York. Funny there wasn't anything like that in TF3, with a whole invasion fleet allready occupying Chicago.

I finally saw it on Friday, and of course I saw it in 3D.

BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER. I can't believe how good that was. I was afraid some of the original actors would back out or they would have trouble balancing the roles of all the heroes, but it all went well. The Hulk was hilarious though.

This weekend The Avengers passed Dark of the Moon on the all-time biggest money-makers list.

I thought it was a pretty entertaining flick. The last 20 minutes were crazy sweet.

Almost made me forget the part or two that didn't make any sense!

It's not too weird, he is an incredibly...pretty person.

I just saw it for the first time last Thursday (A friend of mine who was moving to California took me) and holy hell it was amazing. Easily in my top 5.

Have you ever tried shawarma? I don't know what it I but I want to try it.

maybe they have secret tanks and planes that turn into mechas... gods and power armors, on the other hand...

yeah... I was surprised... a lot... and The Avengers isn't even my favourite team...

Would you say that Loki is the most popular Marvel movie villain so far? He certainly seems to have a lot of fangirls...
