Skullgrin huffed in frustration at Hungrr's countermanding of his order but he said nothing more. He knew full well he was in no position to trifle with the fearsome Terrorcon. Instead he took his frustration out on the next Autobot he could find. And he found one very quickly. Had they not been around, it would've been a subordinate Decepticon. Whatever worked.

The Last Resort was decently staffed, but it was nowhere near as hotly defended as the other areas of the prison had been. The scant few Autobots who remained here likely had been forced to be. To do their duty when all they wanted to fight and, if necessary, die by their Autobot brethren. They were not, however, heavy gunners, assaulters and other major defenders. Skullgrin had encountered his share of those already. These were, true to the name, the Autobots last resort. And it wasn't much. The Terrorcons were shearing their way through them with all their legendary ferocity. And as fearsome as Skullgrin himself liked to think he was, he was content to give them a slightly wider berth. Savages.

Further on, he could see that the Last Resort gave way to one more massive room. Skullgrin's optics narrowed with curiosity. That had to be it. The infamous Rig. He had heard about this place, often in the context that he would likely wind up here if he were ever to be captured by the Autobots for his crimes against Cybertron. That only fueled his curiosity that much more.

Skullgrin quickened his pace and soon found himself within the darkened room. The walls were lined with square containment units and inside each one was the unmistakable glowing orb of a Cybertronian spark. So it was true, after all. He approached one of the containment squares, examining the name and containment information.

"Hmm. Skyjack," he said, reaching a finger up to within a few millimeter's distance of the exterior containment casing but not actually touching it. "I remember him."

Semper Tyrannis--Bridge

And so it had come to pass. One of their worst fears in undertaking this mission and yet one of the possibilities they had prepared contingencies for from the very beginning: Monstructor's rebirth outside the auspices of their control. Reflector's component mechs had instinctively tensed as they took in the information from the various feeds that were being uplinked to the command ship as the Decepticons' hold on the prison grew tighter and tighter.

From the westernmost area of the prison facility, Reflector had noted a valiant, but pointless, attempt at escaping via the starport. The area had been racked with explosions and whatever little progress one of the shuttles seemed to make was all for naught as it quickly found itself under assault by a cadre of Sweeps. The Autobots had, at last, been crushed--Reflector was confidant of that. But now the biggest threat they faced was one of their own.

It was then that new information caught his attention. An updated prisoner roster that Lord Scorponok had forwarded up to the command ship, apparently from some engagement taking place within the Last Resort. One of the names in particular had been highlighted. He was here, just as they had originally wondered back when Lord Scorponok was forming the earliest notions of this assault. And with that information came the possibility of getting their newfound monster back in its chains.

Reflector opened a direct link with the head of the Decepticon Secret Service and transmitted back the same list, only with the highlighted information impossible to miss. Monstructor, Aequitas...and now this?

>>"Our Lord Scorponok will want this spark reunited with its owner with all due haste."<<

Reflector looked at the highlighted name on the screen, glowing eerily amongst the assortment of others.

Garrus 9- The Last Resort

Pain. Blinding. Searing.

Fire. Chest aflame. Spark casing cracked... so much pain. HUD flaring with warning after warning. So much pain. Heat. Fear. Anguish. So much pain.

Gutcruncher fell to the floor, barely able to move. Struck by the immobilizing ray of a stun gun and his chest compacted by a sonic boom, he felt his spark chamber resting on the floor of the Autobot's last sanctuary, hoping to Primus it wasn't shrinking. Hoping to Primus his casing wouldn't crack further because some no-name Decepticon trooper fell on him.

Then Hun-Grr crushed one of his arms underfoot. Suddenly it became abundantly clear what had happened to him.

Gutcruncher didn't know the Decepticon forces back to front like Banzai-Tron did, with his files and updates, but he didn't forget a weapon. The Sonic Stun Gun was one of a kind. Something he'd have been keen to take off Hun-Gar's hands if the Terrorcon leader would've just been kind enough to die so Gutcruncher could salvage it. It was worth 30-40,000 shanix, easy. He could include his firsthand experience on the receiving end of its devastation in his sales pitch.

Gutcruncher tried to focus and move his still functioning arm, but could barely work any of his digits. He had to use one of the supplies he'd collected from the fallen soldiers... he could repair himself, the same way he'd started on Treadshot's restoration. But he was injured, barely functional. His systems were so overloaded with damage reports he could scarcely start a self diagnostic, much less a full repair.

How far the mighty Gutcruncher had fallen. Once Megatron's business partner, now he was dying on some Primus-forsaken rock because he spat in the eye of the wrong Decepticon. He used to bark orders at them, to be careful with his supplies and weaponry. Now he was just another of their pawns, and his own ally had shot him in the back.

Granted, he'd done basically the same thing a click earlier, but the karmic retribution did nothing to soothe his own anguish.

More damage reports. More pain. Had to move. Spark was on fire. Couldn't transform. Couldn't rise. Couldn't fight. Couldn't get revenge. Not enough. Damn him. Damn Hun-Grr.

Had to focus. Watch the battlefield. Watch all the fallen, look for what was intact. There'd be more to sell later.

"What did you do... You had one order...One SIMPLE order..."

Only Banzai-Tron could be so sanctimonious. At least, in his interactions with the Secret Service Commander. He was always talked down to... and it had spread to other unit commanders. How was this his life now?

And he really didn't want to hear this lecture, but it's not like Gutcruncher had anywhere to go. Or even the ability to move so he could give Banzai-Tron a rude hand gesture.

"I order you stand by and wait for the Terrorcons, only to have you run off and force an injured agent into taking the shape of some instrument you can use to climb the ranks? I should take him and end you right now, see how you enjoy the feeling of being blasted by one of your fellow Decepticons. Oh, but I can see that has already happened to you here. I should let you rot... NO, I should rip you apart and sell you for the scrap metal you're worth."

Gutcruncher tried to reply, but couldn't get his mouth to move. As though Banzai-Tron had any capacity to sell Cybertronian wares. He may have been knowledgeable, but only when it applied to espionage and warfare, not barter and trade.

"I rarely give mechs a second chance... And you do not know how much I'd love to turn this weapon on you now and end this little charade of yours... But you are still one of my agents, which means there is still use for you. Do not make me regret sparring your spark, for next time I'll allow the beast to devour you whole."

Hun-Grr had done it before. To one of his own Terrorcon subordinates, no less. And he was a terrible glutton. And he was incredibly powerful. And Banzai-Tron wasn't the type to sully his hands and seek revenge himself. He'd be pragmatic and offer up Gutcruncher to appease Hun-Grr and stay on good terms with the monster.

But Banzai-Tron wasn't coming to his rescue either. Whatever his life was worth, whatever this "second chance" was worth, Gutcruncher was still immobilized on the floor, and Treadshot had been taken from his hand. His own gun arm had been damaged. His shoulder cannon was pointed at the floor.

As he saw Banzai-Tron's feet step away from his fallen chassis, Gutcruncher's rage and resentment built up further. The humiliations just kept mounting, adding to his ever growing lists of reasons he should never have listened to that miner from Tarn...

Stormwrecker shrugged. Questions like Vroom's were ones that he had no business trying to answer. He had never been in the business of politics or military strategy. His life had always been pretty easy in that regard. Mechs wanted weapons? He provided weapons and made a profit. Win-win.

"Yeh, mebbe," Stormwrecker grunted, still holding his weapon and keeping a watchful optic for anything that mi-

"AHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" a Decepticon screamed, running full speed down one of the anterior corridors leading to where they were. He didn't even stop to pay Vroom, Stormwrecker or their injured victim any heed. He ran right past them and down the corridor that he and Vroom had already come from.

Stormwrecker looked down that very corridor for a moment before turning back to Vroom and motioning them forward.

"That was weird."

Scattershot fanned out the cards in his hand. His finger drifted over the cards with a slow and methodical grace as he feigned the deep concentration in the selection of his first summoning. Carefully, as the other Autobots stood, Scattershot drew the 14th Sword Battalion from the center of his hand. He spun the piece of opaque polymer backed card before his optics, making a show to the noisy Decepticon Seekers who had decided to crash the first reprieve they had been given since their undesired confinement.

The card was leveled off directly at optic level as a satisfied grin danced at the corners of his lip. "Give me a blasted moment to end this little game before it even begins... damn three winged rust buckets. Don't ever know when they ain't even wanted in this blasted galaxy." He cursed defiantly as he slapped the card down at the lowest of the high cards located in the very edge of the game grid.

He left the card there for a nanosecond, just long enough for the other Technobots to catch their requisite glimpses. Scattershot placed his palm directly into the center of the pile and twisted his wrist as if he was throwing a tantrum for being given a bad hand and truly screwing up his own opening move to the complicated gambit he had initiated. His shouldered sagged briefly before he turned to face the security officers who had been dispatched to escort them to Primus knew where. "Now ya see what ya just caused me to do, stupid glitch jacked surge eaters." He then gathered the cards as one of the seekers took exception to his taunts and leveled off a rifle in his direction.

The cards were absently shuffled to mix the locations to random fashion and palmed them into a clean stack. He placed the deck into the waiting hand of Strafe. "There ya go. Keep them close, may need 'em some time down the line... to kill the boredom."

The Technobot officer scowled at the lead seeker as Pyro was escorted out of his cell. "Its about time we're getting moved outta 'ere." The nearest seeker drove the butt of its rifle into Scattershot's back, doing no damage but still causing the commander stumble in the act. Maintain the illusion, that was all that was important, just maintain the illusion until the proper opening presents itself.

Pyro fell in line next to Pointblank and Brainstorm. His hands were free though they still rested on his damaged thigh joint, in an effort to keep himself balanced and standing. His optics were locked on the defiant movement of the Technobot Commander... correction the ranking Autobot Sector Commander. He knew full well of Scattershot's personality quirks, most Autobots dreamed of serving with an Autobot of such determination and battle history... of course they also dreaded serving under him because of his reckless abandon in the same battle. He lowered his voice so that only those two who flanked him could hear his words. "He is decidedly no Optimus. I do not know whether to be thankful of that or terrified that he is not."

"You talk a lot but I bet the wreck your working on was at least built for this sort of thing. Mine looks like she should be working in an office not a battlefield."

Flatline gazed over to the Autobot’s work station. He was right, the femme, or what was left of her, appeared as though she wasn’t suited to serve in the front lines of the war. The medic sat back and wondered how she had come to be left in this state. Perhaps she was caught in the Steelhaven wreckage, maybe she was a prisoner who took the fall during the prison escape, who knows? Her frame was too mangled and torn to identify, similar to the body Flakjacket and Flatline managed to pick up.

“I can handle this one’s repairs, Flak'.” Flatline said as he turned his attention to his vehicon friend, “Go ahead and take the grav-stretcher to round up more of our wounded.” Flakjacket gave the black and crimson medic an understanding nod as he clear out of the med bay.

Flatline returned his attention to the Autobot who was standing across from him, his optics locked on his operating movements. He didn’t think the Autobot was capable of causing anyone any harm, let alone look like he even could, but still kept his gaze locked on to the Autobot.

“Yeah I can’t really speak on her behalf.” Flatline said, finally responding to the Autobot doctor, “Can’t say I recognize her. Haven’t seen her before.” The medic looked down at his patient and began pulling the new arm fixture back into Cutthroat’s shoulder socket. He popped the access paneling parallel with his chest cavity and began rewiring the internal mechanisms that connected the arm to the spinal strut. “So are we gonna just keep calling each other *Autobot* and *Decepticon*?” Flatline asked without breaking his focus on his repair work. “I get we don’t fight for the same goal, but I’d rather have a conversation with someone and know their name without having to generalize a fellow medical mech.”

Smiling wide enough to reveal the fangs that his top lip component hid, Iguanus subdued the urge to applaud Gutcruncher and Hun-Grrr for the amusing spectacle they had provided. The pair deserved something for their theatrics, for their award-winning performances concerning Best Comical Scene. Didn't they?

Gutcruncher freaks out—a mystery not even Nightbeat could solve—so he elects to improve his aim by using Blot as a moving target, then Hun-Grrr comes along, gives a demonstration of how effective his stun gun is, and, for good measure, to really rub it in, Hun-Grrr stands over the poor fool and crushes his arm underfoot.

He believed they did.

And talk about humiliation. But talk about first-rate entertainment, too.

Maintaining that same wide smile adorning his face-plate, Iguanus walked over Gutcruncher's damaged form that lay laughably helplessly on the ground. Not around, over. If the quartermaster was still alive after the consequences and embarrassment Hun-Grrr had personally inflicted upon him, then he'd survive this one little extra act of disrespect. It would serve as a reminder not to trifle with the Terrorcons in the future—a lesson that shouldn't have needed explaining, but oh well. Now he knew.

The doors to the Last Resort had been pried open. Iguanus watched as Skullgrin and the Terrorcons let themselves in, a lethal avalanche of teeth, claws and firepower crashing through to sweep away those Autobots unfortunate enough to be obstructing their path.

Shadowing the Terrorcons to this particular destination had been easy. All Iguanus had to do was follow the trail of carnage they left in their wake. They were messy fighters, those brutes, evidence of their atrocities always simple to spot, and they possessed a knack for discovering battle wherever it was being fought, regardless of location or environmental factors.

That suited him perfectly because finding 'Bots on his own to kill had proved difficult. He didn't know why, but it just did. So the decision had been made to follow them, and it seemed to have paid off with a bounty of guards on offer as the reward.

Without wasting another astrosecond, Iguanus sprinted through the doors, laughing as he brandished his blade and searched for Autobots to terrorise and slaughter.

Skullgrin had watched the head of the Decepticon Secret Service with wary but obedient optics. To say nothing of the mech's formidable skills in crystalocution, the position he had attained was one where he could make insubordinate Decepticons disappear all too easily; a fate that Skullgrin had no wish for. If his spark was to be extinguished, let it be in battle clawing against last Autobot he could get a hold of.

"As you will," Skullgrin said, taking the spark in hand, the floor rumbling quietly beneath them for a few astroseconds as the requisite body chamber was retrieved from the catacombs below the Rig where such individuals were housed: eternally separated.

At least, in theory.

After a few more moments, the center of the floor in the Rig underwent a minor transformation sequence of its own as a chamber rose up from the ground. Only a soft, illuminating light in a small, upper window offered any visual clue to the chamber's contents, but for any basic student of Cybertronian history, the shadowed visage was exceedingly recognizable. Arguably the foremost scientific mind of his age and perhaps ever. Skullgrin did not understand his work, but as a warrior he still appreciated what such minds could bring to the war effort. After all, it was one of this mech's weapons that brought them here in the first place. Now they would have the hand that built that weapon.

Skullgrin approached the chamber, which seemed to recognize the approaching spark energy and initiated another transformation: a small receptacle appearing where the spark could be placed. Once Skullgrin had done so, the chamber began to hum with energy. Skullgrin didn't understand how the chamber worked, but he was sure the approaching science team that Scorponok had dispatched inevitably would.

Through the chamber window, the interior illumination grew momentarily brighter and then darker once again, before fading altogether as parts rattled and pieces shifted inside. Then nothing. Silence. Stillness. Nothing.

Until two small, soft green lights began to flicker inside the chamber, burning steadily brighter. Skullgrin looked more closely inside the window and could see the optical units of the mech inside had come to life again, staring right past him into infinity or Primus-only-knew what.

And then they shifted directly at him.

Skullgrin instinctively took a step back, shuddering and reaching for his pick.

Overlord came to a halt on his journey through the vast prison. Something had changed, he could feel it. There was something, in the air perhaps that was changing the atmosphere of the entire facility. Other beings would describe the feeling that washed over him as dread or fear, a cold chill running down the spine. For Overlord though, the feeling was one of excitement and anticipation. Something major had happened nearby, some new being had arrived on the battlefield, he could feel it. Sub-Neural processors were already humming, ready to counter this new threat, as any being of this power would eventually be an opponent of his. His journey to the prison had started out as a distraction, a minor amusement perhaps, but now there was a chance of something more. A real battle, perhaps even a real one on one battle instead of the mass slaughters that seemed to be his primary missions now, was something to savor.

The Decepticon couldn’t recall the last time he had a worthy one on one fight. In all honesty at this point there was truly only one solo fight worth having, but Megatron had made sure that one would not occur easily. It would occur though, it was destined to occur. Like everything else he faced, Overlord would eventually destroy those barriers preventing his ultimate battle and he would face Megatron again, and only one of them would walk away.

The Phase-Sixer was snapped out of his thoughts by a signal from Cyclonus. A frown formed on his phase. Cyclonus was know for being one of the most formal and boring Decepticons, second only to the likes of Soundwave. Overlord never had use for formality and the chain of command someone like Cyclonus slavishly followed. Still, he was slightly amused at how the other Decepticon had phrased his communiqué. Not an order, not even a request, just a statement he hoped Overlord would follow up on. He did plan to confront whatever had arisen, but not because Cyclonus had asked him too.

>>”Is your dear Command Scorpnok too busy to signal me himself Cyclonus? I would assume he personally would be dealing with an issue such as this. Too busy recovering from his mighty victory over an overgrown prison warden perhaps? How very fortunate you are that I happen to be around to more then make up for his untimely absence on the battlefield.”<<

Overlord smirked. He did enjoy the occasional verbal battle, but now it was on to bigger and better things. Fighting the remaining Autobots, mostly cowards who had managed to avoid battle until he came along, had quickly become unsatisfying. Greater and much more interesting challenges waited. He broke out into a full sprint, heading for where he could fell his new opponent was waiting.

He worked to hook up the body to the necessary life support systems then went back to working on the shattered torse.

"Well you should. Damn it, get out of there." He said as he struggled with something in the opening he had made in her chest. "This one was a 'Con and not a prisoner." He said as he took a break from the effort. The lower half of his arms separated from the upper half and he now looked like he had four small arms instead of two normal ones. He used one to get better leverage on his efforts while the others tapped some of the pieces of the chest armor he had removed to work.

"This armor piece still has its brand. You can barely tell as damaged as it is but its there." He went back to work.

"The name is Jumpstart."

He turned to the side to get a better look and a better angle. After one last effect he managed to pull the piece of debris out.

"Who ever heard of a piece of side armor being smashed all the way into the secondary databanks in the upper chest? Now I need to make sure there is no damage there that would impact the primary ones."

Garrus-9 - Southern Wing

Vroom heard the screaming coming towards him but before he could register what was happening the Decepticon had already passed them and ran down the hall.

"The slag?" He muttered and watched the figure disappear into the distance for a moment.

"Your telling me. The 'Cons seemed like they had a clear advantage what would make one run like this?" Vroom thinks about this for a moment.

"Lets keep going forward but keep alert. Might be just one 'Con who could not take a battle mentally. Don't want to go back Overlord's way if we can avoid it."

The gunshot to Blot's leg by Gutcruncher hardly registered to the hulking monster. He was lost in the throes of death and energon-lust. Kkrak! An autobot's arm snapped between his vise-like jaws. He shoved more and more pieces of his current victim into his maw, crunching down on the little bits as energon gushed out from the gaps between his sharp teeth. Now this was a proper feast. Blot felt much better about this meal than his earlier appetizer of Cutthroat. Slag him!

Blot swung his gigantic fist out to punctuate the thought and caught another Autobot in the shoulder plating, making it crumple inward and limiting the entire function of the arm. As Blot chomped down on the upper torso of another Autobot, he noticed that the herds were thinning. Already? Bah! Blot had hoped that taking an entire prison would present more of a challenge. To be fair, they might have had more of a feast had they not been assigned to that ridiculous search and rescue debacle. What was that supposed to be anyway? Bah! Blot ground his dental plates in frustration, and subsequently, the Autobot between them. Mm...well. He could enjoy the remainder of his meal for now at least.

Snapping up the leg of an Autobot who he had torn into little bits, Blot munched them into bits. He turned - rather sluggishly to his frustration - to glance back at the river of energon and bits of Autobots that had not been eaten. Hm...that Gutcruncher guy had been taken out...and...part of his leg had been shot off. He wondered if...nah, Gutcruncher couldn't be that stupid. But how else did he get taken down? Blot growled and shoved the matter out of mind, unwilling to expend the extra mental effort to puzzle it out. Wasn't worth his time.

Annoyed by his heightened sluggish pace - he wasn't exactly swift to begin with - Blot worked his way back to Hun-Grr's side, leaving in his wake a trail of fluids, not all of them his. Along the way, the few remaining Autobots flung themselves at him. Well. More like stood as far away from him at they could while shooting frantically. It only took a blind charge and the Autobot was missing an appendage. The craniums were especially tasty. They had a certain...something.

When Blot finally arrived back at his master's side, he swept his optics about the area, noting the few remaining Autobots rallying together in some kind of last stand. They presented a very appetizing target.

One of Sinnertwin's heads looked up, black fluid dripping from its jaws while the other was still buried inside the chest cavity of his latest Autobot victim. As if there weren't at least a dozen other perfectly good reasons for the Terrorcons to be seen as terrifying, the fact that they were perfectly willing and able to cannibalize their own species while they were still alive had to rank somewhere near the top of that list.

The Last Resort had pretty much been exactly that, and in short order the minimal defenses that had been stationed here had been overwhelmed by the extreme ferocity of the detachment of Decepticons sent to secure the prizes contained within. Rippersnapper had certainly indulged in some of the chaos, and even Blot--to Sinnertwin's surprise--though he quickly rejoined his customary position not far from Hungrr.

But he noticed something new then; a final flurry of activity as a few remaining Autobots banded together and tried to make a show of resisting. They had caught Blot's attention, and now Sinnertwin's as well. The other head pulled itself up from the cavity, dripping fluids as its sharpened jaws released the mess of wires it was currently chewing on. Two pairs of burning red optics locked themselves on the survivors. Snarling, Sinnertwin tentatively stepped away from his latest kill, his sights now set on some entirely new ones.

"Life, death. All savory."

And then he lunged forward just as he had before.

Garrus-9--Approaching Southern Wing

Cyclonus never doubted Scourge. He knew he would be along, even as Cyclonus ran from one adjoining corridor to another, picking up Decepticon soldiers here and there as he went. All of them had the good sense to recognize that if he was heading anywhere with such obvious haste, it was in their best interests to follow after him despite whatever cleanup efforts currently engaged them.

Overlord's response, however, was a little more surprising. Impertinence aside, referring to Overlord's rumored disdain for command figures, the response was essentially what Cyclonus had been hoping for: securing the Phase Six Decepticon's aid in returning Monstructor to stability.

>>"We are indeed very fortunate,"<< Cyclonus transmitted back, choosing his words carefully to say nothing that would provoke the notoriously sadistic Decepticon's ire. Cyclonus did not fear the other Decepticon, as many rightfully did, but he understood the value of having his goals aligned with theirs for as long as his presence was necessary. In all likelihood, Overlord would move on once he had satisfied whatever twisted notions had brought him here in the first place.

As he drew closer and closer to the southern wing of the penitentiary, he could not help but notice a slight but noticeable sense of....of....he was not even sure he could put words to it. Something, however, felt off. And then he remembered why. Another of the unique weapons at the disposal of this monster. Whether it was an intentional product of his creator or an unintentional side-effect of the process itself, Cyclonus had never bothered to ask. Galvatron likely had. But he was no longer here to advise them. As for the monster's creator? Cyclonus was not sure if they had dug that deep into this prison's secrets or if he was even here to be found. They might be too late even if he were.

Quickening his pace even more as he surged past charred debris, burnt out turrets and broken bodies, the sight that started to greet him in the southern wing was an unmistakable one. From this level, Cyclonus could only take in Monstructor's legs, but it was apparent that nearby Decepticons were already falling victim to his crippling effects.

Through the final archway into the core prison sector itself, the whole of the beast finally revealed itself, though it appeared to have not made any additional aggressive moves. It stood there, leering. Cyclonus could only wonder what was going through its mind.

"All Decepticons back!" Cyclonus barked. "Do not provoke it!"

Despite his encounter with the creature before, Cyclonus had trouble referring to it as he did other Cybertronians. Whatever it was, it was something wholly different than anything he had ever encountered in his long and storied existence.

Garrus-9--Outside the Aequitas Chamber

Sometimes it was truly a pleasure just to sit back and watch Cipher work. Here they were faced with one of the most competent practitioner's of the mind that the Autobots had at their disposal and, due to the sheer overwhelming nature of the forces that were being rallied against him, Cipher could simply play with him as if he were little more than a toy. Especially after that databurst from Cyclonus. Cipher had pieced that puzzle together in quite possibly record time.

The Autobot accompanying Rung squeaked out something, but Mindwipe paid him little heed. His optics were locked on Cipher and Rung as they underwent the dance of codes that would piece open these massive doors and allow them access to what waited on the other side.

"Gentlemechs. I’d like you to meet Aequitas."

Mindwipe's optics flickered and his mouth slowly gaped open, wider and wider as he followed them into the room. The halls they had just come from were massive, but this? This was a room fit for the Primes of old and the legendary gathering places of the Golden Age of Cybertron. Mindwipe looked up and behind him at the looming, empty seating galleries where Tyrest must have stood and passed sentence after Aequitas had determined a subject's guilt. And directly ahead, dominating the entire space, the magnificent machine itself towering over them, a cavernous tunnel that seemingly lead down into a blackened infinity. For some in those days, Mindwipe among them, Aequitas had gradually stopped being thought of as a mere machine, no more than they themselves were, and more of a being that could be influenced or manipulated. It was foolishness of course. Mindwipe knew it. And yet even here, now, Mindwipe could not shake the sense that he was staring at some sort of massive corpse rather than a defunct machine. After all, it took sentience to be able to determine guilt. Didn't it?

Mindwipe came up behind Cipher, resting his hands on either side of the other mech's shoulders as he stood behind him and looked up in awe.

"Amazing," the hypnotist said, still struggling to find the right words. "Scorponok will surely give us territories of our own for putting this in his hands."

"Wha-what's going on with them?" Nautilator asked aloud as the Monstercons all fell to their knees in pain. He looked to his superior, Snaptrap, hoping for an exclamation, but found none as the infamous Butcher of the Bogs stood idly by and watched as the monstructor six all ached about on the floor.

The excavator held his weapon close to him, watching with widened optics as the 6 Decepticons began to converge on one another, forming a single mass of a monstrosity.

"Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma..." The lobster mech muttered nervously beneath his mouth plate as fear began to fill his servos. A sudden sense of both awe and sheer terror took control of the frail little Seacon as the massive Decepticon began to rise.

"MONSTRUC-" cried Nautilator as the back of his commander's massive hand connected with his mouth plate, the force of the blow throwing Nautilator high into the air before summersaulting back against the wall of the corridor.

Nautilator's processor began to ache as he struggled to rise back to his feet, the blow severely hampering with the Seacon's internal processing, if it wasn't already screwed up enough as is.

"I...am...Megatron... Eh hehehe..." Nautilator mumbled as he stumbled up to his feet like a drunkard, the blow Snaptrap dealt causing him to think delusional thoughts of being the ruthless Decepticon leader. "One shall fffffffAWL... And it's gonna be YOU Prime!" He said as he rose a weary actuator towards Snaptrap.

Motto: "Well, I'll be a Cybertronic bolt-bat!"
Weapon: Poison-Tipped Missiles
Garrus-9 – The Last Resort

Fear was a weapon unto itself. It adhered to contrasting methods in terms of lethality to that of conventional weaponry, be it a blade or a rifle, but that was the beauty of it. Fear didn't kill outright. It didn't need to, for it enjoyed the symptoms of its insidious touch as it caressed its victims with its unwholesome tendrils, draining them of their courage and fortitude.

Subtle yet deadly like a poison, fear infected the body with its taint, harrowing the mind and the senses into disarray, jumbling them as though disassembling a jigsaw puzzle and scattering the pieces. In such a confused state, physical conditioning, no matter how superb, became compromised. Strength faded. Reaction time decreased. Doubt replaced confidence.

During combat, that could be quite the bad thing to happen. Iguanus would know—at least from his perspective. He'd seen the many illustrations of fear painted so often on his enemies' face-plates that he'd lost count vorns ago.

Emerald green optics highlighted a disturbing countenance streaked with jagged red lines running along both cheek-plates, and a mouth that featured glittering fangs, some of which refusing to conceal themselves even when it was closed. A pink glossa, forked and slender, slipped through thin lip components on occasion, wriggling like a cyber-worm as it tasted its surroundings.

Frozen and unable to detach his gaze from Iguanus, the guard continued to stare. It cost him his functioning, in the end.

Iguanus thrust his blade into the guard's chest-plate, then wrenched it free, vital fluids, wires and cables showering from the wound. The guard dropped to his knee-joints, before collapsing in a crumpled heap. Having destroyed his spark with an accurate strike, Iguanus smirked at his dead foe.

“That's one for me, I think,” he said, flicking the dripping fluids coating his sword onto the corpse.

Scanning the area for more Autobots—weak as they were, but still fun to prey on—Iguanus spied a scene that turned his smirk into a sneer. Those idiot monsters, the Terrorcons, were making a dash for a group of guards who were, Iguanus guessed, attempting to defy the inevitable by uniting and fighting together.

So a “strength in numbers” sort of thing. Hilarious. Like that would work.

Casting that clear observation aside, Iguanus wanted in on the action. The guards would break as soon as they were hit, but his fuellust wasn't quenched yet. And he'd be damned if those morons got to slaughter the last of the resisting Autobots here.

He sprinted towards the group of guards, avoiding the debris and the deceased that littered the floor. No chance he would miss out on this.

The Last Resort

While the other Terrorcons pushed ahead, cutting into the Autobot lines, picking them apart like a mecannibal in a protoform buffet - Hun-Grrr, their leader stayed behind indulging himself in gluttony, feeding upon the corpses left behind by his vicious minions. These Autobots were not worth of his effort. They were brittle and weak. After reminding Gutcruncher of his place within the pecking order, Hun-Gurrr had eviscerated couple of the defenders of the Last Resort with close to no effort. Where were all those Autobots who could fight? The Autobots that were the reason their war had went on for all these millenniums? Where were the Dinobots? It had been hundreds of vorns since he had heard of them being active on any battle front. Or in absence of Grimlock and his team the next best thing, the Wreckers? Those Autobots knew how to fight hard and dirty. To do the unthinkable. It had not been just one occurrence they had been able to make Hun-Gar to withdraw from combat or risk being captured or killed.

As powerful as Hun-Gurrr and his Terrorcons were, they were not invulnerable or unstoppable despite often playing the part quite well. Then again, neither were even their worst opponents. The Terrorcons had killed their share of Wreckers even if they couldn't boast on having slain any of the Dinobots. Not that the Dinobots had done any better. The number of Terrorcons was still five. Despite of the mad risks he had taken. Despite of their reckless behavior on a battlefield.

And when it came to the Wreckers, how many iterations of that team there had been over all these vorns? Hun-Grr had lost the count a long ago, not that he even had ever bothered to really keep one. What he did know was that the deaths of Impactor, Springer or Grimlock were never reported. And that left him the chance of living to end their days personally. Whirl obviously enough lived. No one dared to finish off the one-eyed claw-handed freak in fear of bringing Megatron's wrath upon themselves. It was senseless really. By giving that order Megatron had condemned hundreds of Decepticons to death just because he wanted one Autobot to live. Then again, Hun-Gurrr could appreciate the cruel irony of the joke Megatron had played on Whirl by doing so. And hadn't those whom Whirl had killed deserved their fate in the first place for being weak? Most certainly.

Truly, fighting wave after wave of pathetic weaklings did not help him to cope with his frustrations over his recent encounters with Cutthroat and Gutcruncher. Who in their right mind challenged him that way? Hadn't he killed enough of his own kind to create a reputation so notorious to make lesser mechanoid to tremble in fear and lose their coolant just by spotting him on the battlefield? Obviously not it seemed. The mere thought irritated him beyond comprehension.

He needed a punching bag that wouldn't shatter the moment he touched it. Perhaps that had been the ultimate reason behind his decision to allow Cutthroat a chance to live despite of his blindly burning rage towards Cutthroat's behavior of late. Hun-Gurr had certainly killed for less before. So why not this time? He had no answer for it. Cutthroat was always ready to fight and he fought with no fear of damage to himself or others. Even better, Cutthroat - like all Terrorcons were able to take a beating that would kill most Cybertronians three times over. Not that Cutthroat's chaotic mess of a mind had done any favors for the shock trooper's well being.

*THOOM*

The pressure of the sound wave, the vibrations of the structures around him - something heavy had landed to the bottom of the elevator shaft. Not something. Someone. Someone that made the Terrorcon commander to feel like a lightweight in comparison. Three options. One had no reason coming here. Then again, what reason he ever seemed to need for anything? Another option was unlikely. Fortress Maximus had been defeated, there was no way he could have broken away from the Decepticons and made it to here on his own. Scorponok.

Why had the High Commander followed them here which such haste? What had Banzai-Tron found? No. Who. This was where extracted sparks were stored after all. It could be anyone from... well anyone from Grimlock to Shockwave. What did he know? Pretty much anyone who hadn't been heard from past ten of thousand of years or so could have ended up locked in here.

"Banzai-Tron! Show him to me!"

That confirmed it. Someone here was of such high profile that Scorponok had forgo his repairs to see to this personally. This feast could wait, it was not going anywhere. This he had to see.

Bludgeon was awaiting Umbra’s reply he had a feeling that something was following them and had a general idea of who it was. It was no big surprise when Arachnid made herself known, she’d made a name for herself long before she was captured as a dishonourable and treacherous decepticon almost on par with Starscream.

The former commander of the Empirion stood impassively as the spider released her venomous tirade in his direction. “I pass by a decepticon who is not worthy of my attention or time and give my aid to one who is a lot more useful to me. My plans are mine and mine alone you would do well to remember that spider”

A light chuckle escaped his vocal processor as he heard the mention of the decepticon prison planet “you’ve never heard of comradeship have you it’s an alien concept that mechs can be loyal to other mech’s out of mutual respect.”

His optics briefly looked a Umbra she had history with this one he hoped she wouldn’t be stupid enough to attack as he looked back and continued the light of amusement dancing in his optics.

“Rather than arrogant displays of brute strength or behind the scenes manipulation that you seem to enjoy doing playing your various foes in the upper ranks like puppets in a web”

Whatever levity that was in Bludgeon’s voice vanished as his facial features became as dense as diamond his voice edged with menace pointing at her with his sword “Thou mark my words well, my future destination will come as inevitably as your death if you think to get in my way spider”

It was then that he heard Umbra’s response to his earlier question

"I would be honoured if you would take me as your pupil, Commander Bludgeon."

The former commander of the Empirion directed his unyielding gaze upon Umbra his optics flickering with energy. With a simple nod of approval he accepted Umbra as his pupil thou as he turned the sounds of something incredibly large from behind Umbra told him moving was a lot more important.

“He’s awake, Monstructor is awake if you wish to doubt my conviction Arachnid, then come with me and see what terror we shall endure of an engine of destruction reborn. Lord Scorponok’s plan has gone awry”

Vroom's first question was both an ominous and a relevant one. The only Autobot here with the capacity of making Stormwrecker even think about acting that way had been Fortress Maximus. And if the Decepticon propaganda machine was to be believed, that was no longer an issue. Maybe he'd just been on the verge of being eaten by a Terrorcon. Cannibals. Pfeh. To the Pit with the lot of 'em.

"Yuh. Prolly right," Stormwrecker said, shaking his head and continuing along with Vroom, starting to take point again since the other mech had decided to play hero. "Definitely don't wanna cross paths with Overlord. Wait...maybe that's who it...oh wait, no, wrong direction. man...we're gonna get it from both ends."

He didn't really like the idea of dragging this dead weight along with them, but he hadn't protested too loudly. Hopefully Vroom would have the good sense to drop him if things got really messy.

Ahead, it was clear to see the evidence of all the catastrophic damage that the ship crash had done to the southern wing of the penitentiary. A liability to the Autobots certainly, but potential salvation. For them, at least.

Weapon: Saber Blade
Garrus 9-Mines

Being ignored as usual Flytop decided to walk back into the mines. She didn't mind the digging as long as there was something of value to her. All of this dirt and minerals hold little value to her for most part. Some of the minerals were nice and shiny but often it was the end product from the minerals which held her interest more. She understood the idea of making a new home for the brood since she would like to have somewhere to stash her art objects and treasures. As much as she can't stand her fellow Insecticons, most don't have the higher functioning to bother her stuff. If anyone would bother her things, it would be the so called leadership. As little as she thought of Kickback and Bombshell along with the rest of their little group, she had no desire to challenge them because she liked her independence. Often such independence came at a price though which was to come back and dig a few tunnels from time to time. This is why she is with them now.

"More dirt, more digging, and nothing to really show for it. A treasure hunter like me is reduced to mines. If we were trying to scavenge something, I might be a bit more enthused but right now looks rather pointless."

One of the brood looked at her and responded in clicks and throat noises.

"Yeah, yeah, I know for the glory of the Hive. The only reason the Hive works is most of you don't have enough processor to run a hover sled let alone anything else."

Flytop walked over to an unscathed wall and started firing her sonic rifle. Dirt and rock started flying as normal until a different but familiar sound emanated from the spot. She shut down her rifle and walked up to the location. With a bit more caution, she started removing smaller rocks with her hands and saw what the object was which made the sound. It was a partial remains of an Autobot. The red insignia was still on the Cybertronian. One arm and one leg were still attached to it along with the head. The cranium was dented in and face plate mangled but maybe the brain module was in one piece. A large hole was in the lower section of the torso where it was obvious energon had flowed out of it. It took Flytop a cycle of careful use of her hands and weapon to get the chassis out but was glad when her work was done.

"Hmm, now this could be of some interest. I doubt any valuable information is in the processor but still might be useful for something."

Garrus 9 – Western Wing – Starport

Deadlock lined the sights of his rifle with the cranial unit of an Autobot flier who was hovering in the Garrus airspace. He pulled back on the trigger and in a flash of intense violet-colored laser fire the processor of the Autobot caved in from the impact of the Ion round. A satisfied smirk smeared across the black and white warrior’s faceplating as he lowered the weapon to admire watching his latest victim tumble towards the surface of the prison world.

Two Autobot troopers who had watched their comrade bite the dust at the hand of Deadlock’s rifle turned and charged for the Decepticon warrior, their weapons firing uncontrollably out of sheer frustration. The Decepticon turned to intercept the Autobot warriors, bringing both his arms up to meet them as they approached closer. He opened fire on the misfiring Autobots with his arm-mounted pulse blasters, striking the runners across the chest cavity with high intensity energy blasts.

“Hmph…” Deadlock grunted as he stood over the now dead Autobots. “You Autobots are so… Weak… It sickens me. Give me a real challenge.”

Garrus 9 – Central – Med Bay

“Jumpstart?” The Decepticon medic responded as he popped opened what was left of the main access panel running along the torso the Terrorcon he was operating on, “I think I’ve heard your name tossed around before… Ever been to Dephi? Might have been where I heard it…”

Warm Energon spurted from a ruptured valve in the Medic’s face, splashing against his protective mouthplate. Flatline flinched a little as the magenta-liquid coated his face. His right hand retracted into his forearm and an arc welder took its place shortly afterwords. He wasted no time in closing off the rupture, and gazed over to see how his lab-mate was progressing on the femme on his table. He wiped the fluids from his face with his forearm before he turned and reached for a spare leg servo.

"Who ever heard of a piece of side armor being smashed all the way into the secondary databanks in the upper chest? Now I need to make sure there is no damage there that would impact the primary ones."

Flatline looked up from his work and towards the Autobot doctor who was muttering to himself across the table from him. He let out a tiny huff of air as a chuckle escaped his vocalizer. Being a front line medic, Flatline had seen so much worse that what was presented in front of he and Jumpstart.

“Heh, novice…”

Garrus 9 – The Last Resort – The Rig

The faint green lighting of optics coming to life sent a sinister smile across Banzai-tron’s faceplatting. Well, at least one would have formed if the Head of Decepticon Intelligence had a physical mouth under his formed-mouthplate. The chamber housing the Decepticon Scientist hissed opened and the room Banzai-tron and Skullgrin occupied soon was filled with the steam and the excess gas that was housed in the cell chamber.

"Banzai-Tron! Show him to me!"

“Your arrival couldn’t have been any more well-timed.” The head of the DSS muttered to himself as Scorponok’s communiqué came through shortly after the ground-shaking fall his arrival called out. He casted his amber optics back up at the cell chamber and gestured both his arms out to his left-side, pointing the tips of his actuators towards the door he had entered through.

“Welcome back to the land of the functioning,” Banzai-tron said as he welcomed in the former prisoner, “Now if you’d be so kind as to follow us out the door here, your liberator wishes to speak with you in person.”

Garrus 9 – Eastern Wing – Outside of Last Resort

Spinster peaked over his rubble-barricade, his crimson optics scanning the area for Autobot movement of any kind. The once laser-filled corridor of the prison complex was now quiet and isolated. Spinister cautiously rose to his full height before he heard the sound of Autobot troopers shuffling back behind their posts or whispering commands back and forth.

The Decepticon Assaulter tucked back behind his makeshift cover and checked his weapon’s power readings. Optimal, but it could be worse. He peered around the corner and took a stray shot in no particular direction, hoping to surprise one of his targets enough to draw them out into the open. Fortunately it did and the red helm of an Autobot guard leaped from his hiding place and into the sights of Spinister’s rifle.

KRAKOW

The Autobot fell backwards and the frustrating groans of his allies could be heard from all around the corridor. Fool, he brought this upon himself.

-

Punch, still locked in his Counterpunch disquise, quietly approached the corner of the corridor and gazed around the peak only to find several Autobots with their backs pointing to him. What are they all looking at? Are they bracing themselves for another attack or something? The corridor was torn to pieces and heaps of rubble and dead soldiers littered the flooring. What could possibly have them pinning down like this?

Soon an orange laser round came flying over their heads and towards the wall the Spy was leaning against. The shot was far from being close to hitting him, but he was surprised at being on the recieivng end of laser fire.

“That was only one shot… That must mean there’s a real nasty Decepticon on the otherside of that rubble over there.” Punch muttered aloud to himself. As he moved in closer to get a better look, he nearly tripped on the rifle of a fallen Decepticon. Counterpunch swooped up the weapon and held it close before it could rattle around and make any further noise. Luckily the guards up ahead hadn’t noticed the spy’s encroachment yet and still maintained their focus.

Punch gazed down at the weapon as previous conversations began to replay in the back of his processor.

”This task is going to require a lot from you, Punch… Are you sure you’re going to be able to do what is needed to get the job done?”

“Sir, I don’t think I fully understand what you mean-“

“Taking on this role is going to require you to do things that supersede the Autobot code, but at this late in the game I’m willing to take any risk to get ahead of the Decepticons.”

“Well yes but-“

“Punch, we need you to do this for us, for the Autobot way… If it comes down to it, will you be able to do what is necessary to keep your cover and not jeopardize your mission?”

“…Yes…Yes, Sir.”

“Can’t risk my mission…” The Autobot persona muttered to himself as he brought his new weapon close to his chassis. He rose and armed himself with his new weapon and took aim at the distracted Autobots. He lined his sights up with the processor of the nearest guard and pulled gently back on the trigger. A sharp bolt of violet light pierced the chassis of one of the Autobots, sending him tumbling forward as his teammates optics widened in shock at the sight of the surprise attack.

“Ambush! We’ve got ‘Cons on both sides!”

The Autobots were in a panic as they struggled to choose who was the most dangerous threat to take care of first. Spinister rose from his cover at the sound of frantic Autobot footsteps rushing back towards their new attacker. Not wasting a step, the Assaulter brought his weapon upon and fired upon scattering Autobots.

Just as fast as the ambush started, it ended. The guards who held their ground in the corridor were now lying on the floor of the prison they use to watch over, only now there were new ventilation holes that adorned their chassis. Spinster still held his rifle up towards the blue and black mech who had helped him get out of that particular predicament back there, unsure if he could be trusted or not.

“So. Bot or Con?”

“Heh, now if I was an Autobot, why would I have shot the other Autobots here?”

“We all have our reasons.”

“Well then, if you REALLY must know; I am a Decepticon, just like you.” The black and blue mech gestured to the purple insignias that were blazed across the armor on his shoulders. Spinster lowered his weapon just a tad more, but not enough to completely lower his guard. He could tell there was something off about this mech, he just couldn’t put an actuator on it.

“Alright then… I don’t think I’ve seen you before, gotta name?”

“Yeah, they call me… Counterpunch.”

Garrus 9 – The Aequitas Chamber

"Gentlemechs. I’d like you to meet Aequitas."

"So this is it?" Apeface snorted as he stepped through the enormous, now wide open doorway into the vast theater where the towering judgement machine Aequitas and its viewing galleries resided in. Oh sure, it was sort of impressive in size and build. But there had been plenty of structures of similar scale and grandeur back on Cybertron. Well, before the war at least. Few if any had survived the war after all.

"Doesn't look anything special." The saboteur remarked, drawing a line into the dusty floor with his foot, "Even less used of late. "

"Amazing, Scorponok will surely give us territories of our own for putting this in his hands."

"Why? It is just a machine. Important as it may be." The simian Horrorcon grumbled in response to Mindwipe's declaration. He did understand the magnitude of options Aequitas' vast databanks and their secrets opened to them but he wasn't going to make any fuss out of it like the hypnotist seemed to be set on doing. He had a role to play after all. "What the slag would you do with territory anyhow? As if you ever cared for owning land or lording over it."

"Naah. Give the ol' bats a pile of corpses and research budget without limits." Apeface smirked, pointing a finger at Mindwipe, "That's what you want don't you? You want to continue your fringe science experiments that got you ridiculed in the Academy."

"Booooooooooooo..." The Horrorcon continued with his best ghost impersonation voice, wiggling his arms in all stereotypical ghost like manner, "The Afterspark! You want to speak to the dead! Boooooooooo..."

"Heh, I never understood why." He added with a grin and crossed his arms over his chest, "Anyhow, you've gotta tap into the source if wanna make use of this old box of wonders. With all likelihood it is set to self-destruct if touched by anyone not authorized by the high a mighty Chief Justice himself."

Garrus 9 – Central – Med Bay

Jumpstart shrugged. "I don't even know. You 'Cons tend to leave us medical bots so busy that its hard to keep track of where I have been or who I have treated. I was sent here in order to get some rest. "Ha!" right?"

He replied wearily. It dawned on him that he really did not have a clue if he had ever served in Delphi. He so seldom got to spend time outside the surgeon's quarters over the last few cycles before he arrived here that everything seemed to just flow together. He heard the Decepticon doctor's remark and began to prepare a reply in his mind.

His thoughts, however, were interrupted by alarms in the machines that were monitoring his patient. Her spark was fading. He moved quickly to grab machinery that would flow an emergency charge of energy directly into her spark. It was risky to do this was one could easily cause damage but he had always been especially good in calculating to appropriate charge. Thus where he had obtained his name. He placed the charges and screamed "Clear!"

Garrus 9 – Central – Med Bay

Soul Siren felt like if she was floating, a shadow to her ruined physical form. She could not understand why but she could look down from the ceiling and watch what was happening. An Autobot medic was working on her shattered body. She would have been outraged at this but she felt far too tired for such an exhausting emotion. She turned away from the terrible sight of her body and looked up to a bright light that seemed to summon her. Was it time for her spark to fade away? No... she could not. She still had her duties. As she grew weaker, however, it grew harder to remember just what they were. She felt as if she were fading away. Perhaps it was for the best.

At that moment she felt a jolt course through her spectral form. Instinctively she knew that the power flowed into her body and she was only feeling the aftereffects. Still, the it seemed to energize her... only for so long however.

Garrus 9 – Central – Med Bay

"Come on! Stick with me you dumb 'Con!" Jumpstart screamed in frustration as he sent another charge of energy into the spark chamber of his patient. In high stress moments like this his focus was entirely on saving the life before him, no matter what army she belonged to. After a few more shocks, her spark started to regain part of its glow again. Jumpstart sighed in relief.

"Finally... stabilized." He said and shook his head. He turned towards Flatline.

"Look, if you all want this one to live you are going to need to identify her. I managed to stabilize her spark but I am afraid this is only temporary. This one needs a spark transfer to live."

A Spark Transfer. Taking energy from one spark to return the glow of another. It was a risky procedure but a necessary one in this case. In order for one spark to not overwhelm the other and finish extinguishing it, however, the two sparks needed to be compatible.

Garrus-9 - Southern Wing

Vroom continued to move as he paid close attention to the sounds and vibrations that passed through their corridor.

"It's definitely not Overlord. The shockwaves are too big for it to be him. It has to be something bigger that is causing it."

He thought for a moment, careful considering their options.

"That actually might turn out for the best for us. Bigger also tends to be slower especially if we stay in hard to get areas. You are right about us getting it in both directions though. Scorponok might have beaten Fort Max but I am guessing Max hit back hard. That tells me that if the Decepticons are going to call in a big gun to deal with whatever is causing this then it will most likely be Overlord which means he is probably coming this way. We need to get out of this corridor as quickly as we can."

Skullgrin's grip on his weapon tightened but he did nothing. He had cast an askew glance in Banzai-tron's direction and stepped back further. He was in an area well over his rank. A moment ago he had been destroying Autobots--a function he was perfectly suited to carrying out. Now he was standing with the head of the Decepticon Secret Service inside the innermost prison structure within the most noteworthy Autobot prison to currently exist.

And then Scorponok. Scorponok. Of course Scorponok. Skullgrin backed away even further. To do anything that would jeopardize whatever Scorponok wanted down here--and the mechanoid that had been contained within the chamber was clearly one of those things--would only earn him a death sentence. And today was not his day to die.

Skullgrin cautiously eyed the chamber as it opened and smoke and chemicals hissed free. One hand reached slowly out of the chamber, then two, grasping the edges of the containment unit before the body of the Cybertronian became clear again. And there he was, standing just as Skullgrin suspected he might have during the Golden Age of Cybertron and long before that. Long before Skullgrin himself was functional.

“Welcome back to the land of the functioning. Now if you’d be so kind as to follow us out the door here, your liberator wishes to speak with you in person," Banzai-Tron said, though Jhiaxus had not responded. His green optics settled themselves on him for a moment before finding Skullgrin again and then looking outward at their mighty commander.

Skullgrin couldn't begin to fathom what was going on in the mind of a mech that had not only been imprisoned for as long as Jhiaxus had been, but also having had his spark separated from his body. The gold and orange mech seemed to study Scorponok for a moment, still saying nothing, before taking another tentative step out and away from his former prison.

"Gladiator," Jhiaxus said at last, his low vocals seeming to rumble in his chest. Skullgrin's expression took on one of confusion. He didn't know what to expect this mech's first word to be upon realizing he was now free from his eternal prison, but it hadn't been that.

Tentakill was in a state of shock staring upwards mere moments had passed from his arrival with the 6 Monstercons who looked about as threatening as a gaggle of petro rabbits caught in the sights of a pack of Turbo Foxes. Thou that changed when the autobot bounced from cover like some Marta a click of a button the gentle dings of the inhibitor claws as they bounced off the floor. Swift and brutal was Snaptrap’s response Tentakil gave a smirk as the two half’s of the autobot hit the floor with a thud. It seemed like nano clicks as still pumping energon trickled from the truncated body.

“GET BACK”

Tentakil heeded his commander backing up rapidly but keeping his rifle down unlike the dolt Nautilator who earned a brutal backhand to forcibly move him away from the rapidly changing forms of the Monstercons. ‘Wait where they getting bigger? what in the name of the pit!’ Tentakil's thoughts attempted to make sense of events as he watched as the conglomeration of parts came together increasing in size and radiating a sickening aura. The resulting behemoth towered over everything Monstructor.

“We need a bigger stick” Tentakil muttered as he turned to talk to Nautilator his faceplate dropped as he saw his comrade level his rifle at Snaptrap’s back.

“Are you clinically insane” Tentakill growled he threw himself on top of the delusional Nautilator using his greater strength to pin the Excavator to the ground and force the rifle arm away from anything important.

Outside Aequitas

Snapdragon’s wishes where filled as the huge gates opened allowing them access to the secrets within Aequitas. The Horrorcon interceptor lifted himself from the autobot that had been pinned beneath his bulk. The autobot however wouldn’t be released from his grasp that easily grabbing Streamlight by one of his legs the decepticon stomped through the Aequitas gates dragging the unfortunate autobot behind like a Child’s doll.

He looked around at his surroundings the huge machine that was Aequitas loomed large but didn’t really impress Snapdragon. “I was expecting something grander” grumbled the interceptor as he came to a halt near to his Horrorcon comrade Apeface. Who was doing a fair impression of a ghost Snapdragon chuckled as Apeface came to a close amusing himself at Mindwipe’s expense.

"Anyhow, you've gotta tap into the source if wanna make use of this old box of wonders. With all likelihood it is set to self-destruct if touched by anyone not authorized by the high a mighty Chief Justice himself."

Snapdragon turned with a rare display of his intelligence “or someone who is old enough to have been present at the time” Snapdragon’s yellow optics descended on Rung “what do you say runt are you able to make this doohickey work? Also what are we doing with this useless piece of scrap” to demonstrate who he was referring to he lifted Streamlight up and shook him by his leg.

Motto: "I'm not psycho...I just like psychotic things."
Garrus 9 – Eastern Wing – Somewhere in the Corridors

"Squirt?" She droned out.

A small barely noticeable smile curled the thief’s lips upward as he watched the tiny femme almost come undone. This was simply priceless. Oh sure stringing along some impressionable newbie Autobot guard was fun, but witnessing this femme’s oncoming meltdown…so much better.

Kronus chuckled oh so very lowly.

"Oi! Stop callin' me squirt! I am not a 'squirt'! I am a brilliant scientist! The Decepticons are fortunate to have me, the most brilliant self-proclaimed leader in reani - certain technologies!" Firewire folded her arms over her chest and pouted. "I'm just a tiny little bit vertically challenged. Miniscule amount."

BAM! And there it was! Picture perfect protoform tantrum! How sweet.

With a wide grin on his face Kronus stepped to the side of the cart and held up his hands defensively. “My apologies. I had no clue just how upset it would make you.” He shrugged as he moved back to his previous location and placed on elbow down on the bars of the cart. “I suppose I can see how such a derogatory label could make any vertically challenged mech all the more annoyed.”

Kronus stood back up to full height and raised his right hand. “So in order to make it up to you I shall hereby and henceforth cease referring to you as squirt, small fry, munchkin, pint-size et cetera, et cetera…” Kronus wound his hand around before letting out a heavy sigh. The conversation was getting boring and he was anxious to see just what this little ‘scientist’ was working on, not to mention getting a look at the Commander Scorponok…a name he’d heard but someone he’d never met.

The thief waited for several moments before finally Firewire seemed to come to life.

"Hey, I'm sending you the coordinates now. There's a security door at these coordinates here...so don't take us that way. Oh. And I guess you'll be compensated. Can't really expect you to do something for nothing,"

Just as the femme did Kronus too perked up. The coordinates came through and as the lithe mech studied them and took hold of the cart and looked down at the other ‘Con. “Compensated, eh.” He rubbed at his chin thinking for a moment. “No, no. You’re right. I’m certainly not going to do this for slag and giggles. But I’ll have to let ya know on just what it is I’d like.” He flicked his optic in a wink before focusing on getting the cart moving.

"Oh yeah. You should probably introduce yourself so I don't forget that I owe you one. Because I will. Also maybe bug me for that compensation I promised. Because again. I will forget. Anyway, lead the way!"

Kronus looked down at Firewire a confused look etched on his face. “Hang on a nano. You don’t know who I am? How do ya like that. I steel weapons and schematics and data for these guys, and then I get my aft tossed in this hell-hole only to find out I wasn’t on some sort of list to break me out?”

He shook his head slowly. Truthfully Kronus knew that he was obviously worth very little to the ‘Con Empire – even less now since he had gotten caught – and that their real intention was to break someone much more important out, but who?

“Yeah, well my name’s Kronus.”

Kronus pushed the cart along toward their intended destination all the while he was avoiding any of the points that had security doors.

“So, stubby, just who is ‘ole ‘Scorpy’ breaking out?”

Garrus-9--Western Wing--Starport

With the fleeing Autobots having been surrounded, incinerated, captured or otherwise rendered incapable of resisting, a shuttle had detached itself from the massive hangar of the Semper Tyrannis and deftly maneuvered its way through the Decepticon naval assault group hovering in and around the Elban airspace. Packed full of the first round of supplies they would need to begin integrating this prison into a full-fledged Decepticon outpost, the shuttle was also carrying cargo of a different sort. Those aboard knew not what the Autobot prisoners aboard the Tyrannis were being transferred to the surface for. They had their orders and they carried them out.

The shuttle rockily touched down in a shipspace that had only breems ago been occupied by an Autobot vessel attempting to escape. Fiery debris was still smoldering nearby as Sweeps canvassed the starport like Insecticons in a hive. When the bay doors opened, the Seeker guards prodded their captives forward.

"Nothing funny and you live. Least till Scorponok says different, heh heh heh," one of the Seekers chuckled as a few Sweeps approached the disembarking Autobot captives.

"Welcome to the last place you're ever gonna see alive, Autoslags," one of the Sweeps growled.

Lightspeed, for his part, paid the Decepticon taunts no heed. At least they were down here. The fact that they were still functional at all meant that the odds were good that they would continue to be so long as they did not make life harder for Scorponok.

Besides, Lightspeed had disembarked from the shuttle with a little more than he had boarded it with, so the odds of their survival were incrementally increasing. Incremental improvements in their bleak situation was the best they could hope for right now.

"Where they goin'?" one of the other Sweeps barked.

"Southern wing. Cyclonus' orders," the Seeker said. The Sweep's optics flickered maliciously.

"The Tracker went that way. Heard it's gettin' real messy."

"More fun for you boys eh?" one of the other Sweeps taunted. Lightspeed still said nothing, keeping his optics forward and walking where he was told. You'll see how much fun we can be.
