I know I'm late responding but I had my suspicions. But the big question on my mind is why is River in prison?

BTW: We are talking about this week's episode, right?

Well she did say once that she killed (shot?) "a good man." I'm only working from my own spotty memory, but I'm pretty sure she's there because she killed the Doctor. How this will play out, though, remains to be seen.

It's never explicitly stated she killed the Doctor, and Mofty's a big enough jerk that it's entirely possible she could have killed Rory. Since, y'know, that's his thing.

The talk is that
She is in prison because she killed the doctor (the astronaut from this seasons first episode)
It will be found out that she did not kill the doctor but his skin clone (it will be revealed that it did survive).

This is the speculations that I have read on the internet where I think those make sense thay are not my speculations (I am just passing the info).

It was a great episode I gues to me the biggest surprise was to see that the baby was a ganger.

I had heard River was Amy's daughter from some FB people who ruined it for me

I can totally see that (her killing the skin clone). I just can't buy that the doctor is gonna be in Matt Smith form for 200 more years.

Found Classic Dr. Who on NetFlix. They're on my Queire. Totally psyched to see some pre2005 Who.

I'd like to know the following:
Has the Dr ever teamed up with Sherlock Holmes? Has the Dr. ever encountered dinosaurs?
Has the Dr. gone back to the Middle Ages and encountered Merlin? They say Merlin aged backwards. Wouldn't it be neat if Merlin was a timelord?

Speaking of "wouldn't it be neat if" (pay attention IDW or Doctor Who writers) I think it would be neat to have a story in which the 11th Doctor had to fight the metacrisis created 10th Doctor but in the end they had to team up for some bigger enemy.

Not on tv. Not sure about novels.

Has the Dr. ever encountered dinosaurs?

Yes. If I recall it was one of the Tom Baker stories.

Has he encountered Merlin? I can't remember. May have just been mentioned in passing.

Sherlock Holmes has been mentioned in a few novels and short stories.
Merlin has been in a couple stories and identified as another Time Lord.

Invasion of the Dinosaurs was a Third Doctor series with Sarah Jane and the Brig.

Remember, the nature of the series means that no one knows quite how much time passes between episodes. 200 years means nothing in that context, really.

Battlefield, actually, in which it's also heavily implied that a future incarnation of the Doctor is Merlin himself. (And is mentioned in the novelization to have red hair; could this be why the Tenth and Eleventh Doctor express their dismay that they aren't ginger?)

Same here, I started with series 5 since my best friend who's a big fan said it was a good jumping on point and I finished it in less than a week. The show's fantastic and I'm in love with Amy Pond, as most are.

Oh yes she's quite a good character most of the time and from my understanding of some of the previous sidekicks she's quite a step up. However I dunno I found her slightly out of character in the clones episodes.. I just think she'd be a bit more understanding of the whole scenario

Well, might as well post mine. In no particular order!

Sarah Jane Smith-the urexample of awesome companions. There's a reason she was the first to come back and got her own spinoff series. Smart, spunky, not afraid to backtalk the villains and could rescue herself! Hell, in her debut episode she took no lip from the Doctor and saved his life twice!

Leela of the Sevateem-an action girl extraordinaire. She could throw a knife the length of a corridor into the back of a Sontaran's probic vent. Bad. Ass. 8)

Jamie and Zoe-I haven't seen much of these two, but from what I've seen and know I like. Zoe's smarter than the Doc, and Jamie kicked a lot of butt and was rather a good character. He'
s also the longest-lasting companion by some measures and definitely the longest-lasting male companion.

Romana-The Doc's equal in a lot of ways. Before River, before Rose there was Romana. :D Totally awesome, smart and able to get herself out of scrapes.

Ace-... Do I even need to say why? Okay, I will. In the episode 'Remembrance of the Daleks', not only is there the famous bat scene, she also shot a Dalek in the face with a rocket launcher and blew it up.

...

Let that sink on for a moment. I'll get back to you.

Nice..

In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler.

I wonder who the greatest war criminal in the universe will turn out to be...

Davros reincarnated??
Daleks??
Cybermen??
The Doctor himself in a past regeneration (or the flesh avatar Doctor)??

Interesting to say the least.
