Yeah I thought of that too but figured it wouldn't have an emotional impact like "You are not alone"

could be "dont eat the fish" the doc then spends the rest of his lives not eating fish since the face of boe didnt tell him which fish..... scary huh? lol

seriously though i like the idea of "you are not alone" put it in early in the series and put the master un late and that could be the "badwolf/torchwood of s.3. the thing that keeps getting nodded at/mentioned all series but isnt revealed to the very end.

on a side note i could do with some help as this has been bugging me for some time now.
was the emperor dalek davros?
i know there is/was a seperate modified dalek which was the emperor dalek, but in rememberance of the daleks (on a side note if you havent seen this story you should check it out, if only for "unlimited rice pudding!") davros has made himself the new emperor and you can clearly see his eascape pod going before the hand of omega hits his ship. so help me! has anybody any ideas or links that might help sooth my soul?

Davros was essentially given up for dead then this new Dalek Emperor appeared and ressurrected the "threat" of The Daleks.

I don't think it was his first story appearance but it didn't take long for the top to fold back to reveal Davros encased in the Dalek Emperor body. What i'm not sure about is whether Davros was fully in control of his own mind or if the Daleks had brainwashed him to lead them.

The Dalek Emperor in the new series though as far as I know is NOT Davros but really just this big super Dalek who screeches a lot.

Dalek mutant floating in tank of fluid connected to that giant Dalek shell, and was not Davros. Davros's status at this point is unknown so who knows, he could pop up again.
And if they want him to be a suprise I don't think they would put him or the Master in the season 3 preview at the end of Runaway Bride.
You knew Sek was alive since he did a temporal shift at the end of doomsday.

I would hope that Davros doesn't pop up. We've got Sek now and quite frankly, with him around Daleks are finally a little bit terrifying.

Agreed, I like the Sek character and what he brings to the table.

see im a little unsure, davros is a nice developed charcter so theres a lot of history to play with, but i suppose wit sek you have a whole new charcter to play with.

oh i cant decide!!!

on a side note a revamped davros would be cool.

Making Davros into a Dalek killed the character in my eyes.

Of course a show down between Davros and Sek could be a good thing ...

I thought Davros whereabouts were unknown..

Him vs Sek would be something interesting to see.

May be unknown, he in fact should be dead unless he was still enough Kaled to be spared from being wiped out by Rose.

And this my fellow fans, is why I now pretty much download the tv shows I want to watch instead of waiting for it to air in Australia.

Despite earlier media reports to the contrary, the Australian TV Week magazine mentions in its latest edition that both public broadcasters, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) have passed on Torchwood. There is no indication that any of the Australian commercial broadcasters will pick up the show.

The ABC is expected to screen the third series of Doctor Who from mid-year but this is still subject to official confirmation.

Said it before and i'll say it again. The ABC have their heads so far up their arses it's not funny. The Sci-Fi channel in America has already picked up Dr Who for this year and yet the ABC are still undecided despite Dr Who giving them some of the best ratings they could ever hope for in the last two years.

Screw them, and screw waiting for the commercial broadcasters to pick Torchwood up because they'll screw it over into a late night time slot just like they've done to Star Trek, Stargate, BSG and even 24 now.

Any word on whether or not Torchwood would be coming to North America? It'll have to come to Canada, at any rate. I mean, the CBC helps finance the show, fer chrissakes.

its not often i get to do this but...

its been out in the uk for a couple of weeks, boxart's differant though.

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3294163/ ... oduct.html

im tempted to pick it up, but it does mean id have to try and get all of the dvd's. at the mo' all ive got is genesis, revalation and remberance all of the daleks. breaking out of the "dalek only" safety net could mean a lot of wages going on even more dvds. im glad id get a discount.

I guess it has something to do with the fact that "Doctor Who" is a UK product, meaning they get it first before we do.

I've got an interesting idea here on that.
The Doctor a few times (in "Dalek" and "The Parting of the Ways" in particular) implies or hints ar that he's responsible for not only the Daleks' defeat but the destruction of the Time Lords in the Time War as well.

Now if they bring some more of Time Lords back (others as well as The Master) they want nothing to do with him at all. This explains why the Doctor doesn't feel them in his mind anymore it's a form of punishment to be exiled from his race for all time. Or they might have orders to kill him on site. This could make a season where the Doctor is sort of a fugitive on the run and is trying to find a way to clear his name and out run his his own people who are out for his blood.

Either way it would be very interesting to see what happens.

I'm just going to miss Billie Piper though. :(

Bugger.

Ten signs BBC's hit Dr Who spin-off
28th February 2007, 16:59 WST

Sizzling British sci-fi drama Torchwood, a Doctor Who spin-off about American air force renegade Captain Jack Harkness, has been licensed to Network Ten by BBC Worldwide.

The adventure-packed series follows a team of global investigators led by the John Barrowman-played Harkness, who first appeared on Doctor Who in 2005.

The department named Torchwood is dominated by bright young characters who make the most of alien technology which they scavenged from an alien wreckage to fight crime.

The first episode of Torchwood was the most watched non-sport program ever to air on a British digital channel when it was shown on BBC Three.

The program is directed straight at Ten's target 16- to 39-year-old audience, it's sexy, clever and fast-paced.

The Australian network has already shown great faith in the show by committing to a second series, which is yet to be completed.

Ten head of programming Beverly McGarvey said: "Torchwood brings a sexy new twist to the traditional cop show genre that we at Ten are thrilled to have as part of our 2007 slate".

Torchwood, written by Doctor Who, Casanova, and Queer as Folk's Russell T Davies has now been sold to nine countries.

It was named after an anagram which was used to protect the secrecy of early Doctor Who roughcuts.

Oh sure we're going to get it in Australia ... but i'm betting by the end of the season it'll be shafted to a late night time slot.

uTorrent, you are my best friend.
