I don't agree with some of Hasbro's business practices, and some of their corporate culture. Especially their attitude towards their creative departments, but art and money have never really been friends.
I have been waiting for an opportunity to say what Ironhidensh said a page ago.
The sooner the "super fans" realize exactly what they are collecting,
toys, the better off we will
all be.
Hasbro does a fine job of making contemporary updates to old characters, exploring new directions for the brand, and keeping Transformers alive and well.
One thing I have learned in 20 years of collecting is that patience is a virtue. If you hold out long enough, Hasbro will make it. Combiner Wars are a perfect example. Another is the current legends class. I had been waiting for "scout" sized updates of the G1 minis for years (i.e. Bee, Windcharger, Gears, Cliff etc.) I could have gotten some 3rd party stuff, but I knew if I waited, Hasbro would do it. And at a price that made sense.
Uncle Hasby, I'll be over here happily waiting.
