Weapon: Energo-Sword
Several miles outside of Area 51, an empty stretch of desert

The two Decepticons materialized in the open desert. A military jeep and its occupant were the only witnesses to their arrival aside from the rocks.

Megatron bent down to examine the human. A quick scan confirmed that it was their facsimile, designed to resemble a General Ordway. The human was high ranking in this country’s military and was often in charge of new weapons research and development. He had been replaced for events such as this one. It was a pity that he would not survive the mission as he would likely provide valuable intelligence later on.

“Ordway, you understand the mission? You will bring Soundwave and I into the military installation, into its deepest and most secure area.”

The facsimile nodded. “Yes Lord Megatron.”

The Decepticon leader smiled. “And should you run into any difficulties getting clearance, my firepower will be at your disposal.”

Megatron stood back up. “Soundwave, be prepared to broadcast signals to the other Decepticons at my command. Now it is time to test this new mass shifting form.” There was a crackle of energy as Megatron transformed and shrunk down to a human sized pistol. Ordway calmly tucked the Decepticon into his holster. Once Soundwave joined them in the jeep Ordway started it up and drove off towards Area 51.

Not far from Area 51

Parked in his alternate mode not far from the human military installation they had designated Area 51 was Bumblebee. The yellow minibot had been dispatched by Optimus Prime before any briefing could be given back on Ark 19 to keep an optic on the area, and Bumblebee had quickly gotten his aft out here. Considering his alternate mode sort of stuck out like a bent fender in this sort of terrain he knew it would only be a matter of time before he was spotted, so of course he had to find some sort of place to hide. It had been a difficult search but he had managed to find a nice rocky crag that overlooked the base to hide in, hopefully before he was spotted. However, considering that it had been a good number of breems since he had arrived and so far not a single human patrol had come close to his position, Bumblebee had assumed he was safe from detection. At least for now.

Since arriving the Autobot espionage expert had been close watching the activities of the base, and taking the best scans he could of the interior. His sensors didn't get the best reception at his present range, but he was able to determine that the buildings on the surface were primarily for storage of vehicles, and supplies, as well as administrative and for providing living space for the humans who worked at Area 51. However, the interesting part of the base was what couldn't be seen. Although he could get a detailed picture of it, Bumblebee was able to figure out there was a massive underground facility that he was certain was for experimentation and study of various subjects that the government of this nation-state did not want its general public to know.

In addition to watching the base and observing it, Bumblebee was also keeping track of transport to and from Area 51. So far not a lot had gone on. A few armed patrols had gone out and come back. A single supply convoy had arrived carrying what passed for high tech electronics and computer equipment on this planet. A few staff jeeps, sort of like the one that was approaching now. Bumblebee was just going to ignore this jeep, since it was just like the two or three others that had already come by, but something seemed out of place. He scanned the vehicle. There was only one occupant, a high ranking officer. That was strange. Bumblebee had observed that usually these generals had an aide drive them. He also noticed there were some unusual, yet familiar energy signals coming from the jeep. It took him a few astroseconds for him to search his data banks to recall where he had seen them before, and when he did a chill ran through the minibots spark chamber.

He immediately activated his communications system to contact Prime.

>>Bumblebee to Ark-19, priority message for Optimus Prime. Prime I have just detected what appears to be the energy signals for Soundwave and Megatron entering Area 51 in the personal vehicle of a high ranking human officer. I suspect they are using a facsimile to gain entrance to the base. So far no other Decepticon activity has been detected. Please advise. Bumblebee out.<<

With his message delivered Bumblebee sat in his hiding place, watching as the jeep carrying the Decepticon leader and one of his most valued subordinates enter Area 51.

Area 51

Despite the reputation Megatron had cultivated, he was a patient being. His plans were often long term, forming large, overarching strategies. It was only those in the lesser positions, the playing pieces on the playing board that galaxy was to the Decepticon commander, that saw him as impatient and quick to anger. His rage, while quite real, was controlled to motivate his men and to inspire fear in them. It kept them on their toes and loyal to him. If he didn’t have these occasional fits of rage and impatience then his men would see him as soft and forgiving. He had built the Decepticon army himself on the principle of the strongest should lead, among others. If they perceived any weakness in him his soldiers would quickly turn on him and try to wrest control away from him. By keeping up appearances he defused most mutinous attempts before they began.

That being said, Megatron was beginning to lose his patience. These humans apparently believed in a ridiculous amount of redundant security, as if they even possessed anything worthy of this level of protection. Still, Megatron maintained his disguise, if just to slightly ease their transport into the depths of this base. Finally the Ordway facsimile brought them to and underground bunker where he now stood in front of a large, thick steel hangar door. This had to be their final destination.

The guard on duty hung up the phone on the wall and turned to the facsimile. “I’m sorry sir, but entry into the vault requires direct authorization from the Pentagon and the base commander says you don’t have it.”

Ordway frowned. “Do you know who I am boy?! I am the damn Pentagon. Now you will let me in that vault or so help me you’ll be scrubbing toilets in an artic base!”

“I’m sorry sir, but I can’t do that.”

Finally Megatron had enough. “Enough of this! Use me to get in there!”

The guard frowned, trying to realize where the voice had come from. It slowed his reaction to Ordway draw his pistol just enough for him to fire on him before he could raise his rifle. Megatron mad sure it was a lower powered blast, but it was still more than enough to blow a bowling ball sized hole through the man’s torso. What was left of him fell to the ground in a heap. Ordway took a couple of steps back, knowing the next blast was going to be much more powerful and destructive. He pointed Megatron at the imposing door. He pulled the trigger and the entire chamber was lit up with the purple light of the fusion cannon blast. It struck the door and blasted it to pieces. Metal shards went flying into the room behind it, tearing into whatever workers and guards were stationed there. The blast itself continued well past the door, disintegrated a couple of unlucky workers who happened to be standing in the wrong spot and the wrong time before it finally slammed into a stone wall and dissipated, after destroying a fair chunk of rock.

Ordway carefully stepped through the blasted door, avoiding the still red hot edges. He ignored the screams and alarms as he along with his Decepticon passengers, took in what the humans had hidden here.

Location Outside of Area 51

From the sky a beam appeared and in a flash of brilliant light the Autobot team appeared at Bumblebee’s location. Once the beam of light dissipated Prime moved to view the outside perimeter of the compound. He focused on the entrance and tuned into his internal scanners. He detected Decepticon signatures deep inside the complex, but he could not detect anything from the Transformer tech that the humans had.

Just before he straightened to address his troops his scanners detected two large energy readings which could only have been Megatron. Optimus finished rising to his feet simultaneously reaching behind his back to extract his weapon. Once in his hands he leveled it to the ground.

“Alright Autobots, let’s move in!”

That said Prime led the group toward the facility. They would just have to take their chances with the guards now distracted by weapons fire within the compound. Hopefully they weren’t too late.

Outside Area 51

Bumblebee was still parked in his alternate mode when the orbital bounce transported the team of other Autobots right in front of him. The yellow minibot rolled forward and transformed just as Optimus Prime drew his weapon and ordered the Autobots to move in. Bumblebee drew his small laser pistol and checked to see if it was fully charged. He knew it was, but he always made sure just in case.

"So I guess we're tossing subtlety out the air lock and going in gun ho huh?"

"Seems so Bumblebee." Wheeljack replied as he deployed his shoulder mounted shell launcher. "I think this is one of those times, we don't have the time to waste finding the sneaky way in. Megatron is already inside and we have to beat him to the punch before he can make off with whatever the humans got."

Wheeljack began to follow after Prime, checking his scanners.

"Optimus my deep geo scanners are detecting that Megatron is aleady deep inside the human underground facility, it might be difficult to reach him!" Wheeljack warned falling in just behind his leader.

Bumblebee was also following behind his comrades, waving an arm over his head.

"Alright Autobots, you heard Prime! Lets get in there and kick some Decepticon aft!"

Outside Area 51

Due to some technical delay Aftershot did not materialize with the others. Instead he was delayed by a few astroseconds and appeared after Prime had order the others to move it. He had to quickly take stock of the situation.

"Alright, I am more use to you guys in the air then on the ground. I am going to take up a patrol around the area and provide air support as needed."

Aftershot transformed into his jet mode and quickly climbed into the air and began to circle the base slowly, keeping an optic out for any thing of importance.

Arcee took up flank to Primes right on the drive to towards Area 51. This move was bold, and even though Human weapons wouldn't do much more than scratch them, it was still revealing their presense at large, even if it was at the humans top secret military instilation.

Outside Area 51

Smokescreen and Trailbreaker appeared with the rest of the Autobots near the human compound called Area 51. They both watched as Bumblebee rolled out of his hiding place and transformed. “Hey, good to see you again, ‘Bee,” Smokescreen said, patting the minibot on the shoulder. “We all wondered what had happened to you.”

As Prime lead the Autobots towards their destination, Smokescreen ran a quick internal diagnostic on both of his shoulder-mounted ECM missile launchers. This was to ensure that they were functioning properly and wouldn’t fail in battle. Once that diagnostic was completed, the diversion expert also checked his smoke generators just in case his comrades needed cover for whatever reason. With all indicators pointing to normal, Smokey pulled out his electro-disruptor rifle, gripping it tightly in his right hand. “I’m all set and ready to go!” he exclaimed.

“I’m glad someone is,” Trailbreaker responded, attempting to install the fuel capping device Wheeljack had made for him several cycles ago. “Ah, there we go!” A quick click and the device was secure. ‘Breaker then closed his side panel. “I hope this works.”

“What exactly is it?” Smokescreen inquired.

“Oh, it’s just a gizmo ‘Jack made for me a while ago. It should help me not waste as much energy. If it works, of course.” The black mech then pulled out his laser rifle and checked his own systems to ensure everything was working the way they should.

The Grand Canyon

Skywarp quickly descended out of the skies and into the ‘Grand Canyon’. The teleporting seeker transformed and landed near the water of the Colorado River. “Hmmm, I don’t see what’s so grand about this place. I’ve seen far larger and deeper places on various other worlds. But, I guess to these flesh bags, it’s something of a wonder. Pathetic!” ‘Warp then made his way to a nearby cave and stood in the entrance way to avoid any unwanted eyes from seeing him. “I wonder where Thundercracker is. He was right behind me when I left the base.” Skywarp then opened a comm link:

>>Hey, ‘Cracker! Where you at, buddy?!<<

Outside Area 51

As the Autobots arrived on site, Pipes looked to see Bumblebee appear and Optimus leading the others in the fray. Ever the loyal soldier, he followed on right after them, drawing out his laser pistol while in motion. Hearing the exclamations of his comrades, Pipes was in rather positive spirits, despite the dangers that lied ahead of him.

Of course, he wasn’t particularly concerned for himself. Pipes was among the strongest of the Autobots, both in terms of physical strength and endurance. Rarely has he ever suffered serious injury in a fight while under Decepticon fire, let alone the simple ammunition used by Earth soldiers. Of course, even the tiniest crack in his armor could prove to be dangerous should he ever use his corrosive exhaust devices. It’s a fact he was generally aware of and would rather not end up repeating, but in the heat of battle, it can slip his mind.

While being one of the most physically tough ‘Bots in his team, Pipes wasn’t the fastest among them. As the others charged forward, the Autobot slowly followed along their rear, trying to keep up with the rest.

“Slow down, guys! I don’t want to miss any of the action!” He called out to the others.

These were the coordinates Megatron sent, but where is everybody?" Note to self: next time get mission briefing. "Lets not be so obvious," Runamuck thinks as he transforms back into vehicle mode, "if I blow my cover it'll be the last thing Megatron ever lets me do." As the unmistakible sound of jet engines echo threw the canyon, "Well sounds like someone has showed up."

Grand Canyon

Following the first orbital bounce by Runamuck, a second opened as a yellow Jeep Wrangler appeared on the bottom of the canyon bed. It was a strange sight to behold, even more so by the fact that it had no one driving it. Moving in closer to his Decepticon comrade, Swindle chided in,

“Make that two someone’s, friend.”

As ever, the Decepticon munitions expert, and infamous arms dealer, presented himself as friendly and easy-going to his ally. It was a facet of his personality that tended to put off those of his menacing ilk, particularly ones whom he has shared a history with. Nearly every Cybertronian, both Autobot and Decepticon, knew Swindle to be opportunistic, scheming, and generally untrustworthy. But when has that ever stopped him before, he would say.

Though truth be told, Swindle’s pleasant demeanor was as that of moment a mask; generally it always was, but he personally didn’t care for the current mission. If the humans knew of their presence on planet, there could be a potential market to be made, selling weapons and armaments to fleshly masses that all seemed hot to end each other through nuclear Armageddon. Of course, no thanks in part to the Tyrest Accord, that could never happen, could it? For now, there was no point to what he was doing but to follow orders, no profit to be made. At least, there was none yet.

“Say, you don’t sound all that great Runamuck,” Swindle said with a tone of concern, “did you bend a fender on that last jump? Is there anything I, a trusted comrade-in-arms, could do to help?"

Outside of Area 51

Sunstreaker materialized in the desert next to the other Autobots. A frown quickly formed on his metal face. They were in a desert like area now with nothing but a few scraggly bushes clinging to life. He kicked at the ground beneath him, sending up a cloud of dust. His frown turned into a scowl.

He glared over at Sideswipe. “What a lovely planet this is. Either its to wet and moist so I start to rust or its too dry and dirty so I end up getting scratches on my paint job. These stupid natives need to pave over their entire planet so I don’t have to worry about these problems. As it is I’m going to have to find some more paint for another coat.”

The warrior glanced around again. “I don’t see any Decepticons around either, which means we are gonna have drive to them, which means my vents are going to get clogged with this stuff.” He kicked the ground again, “Which means my vents are probably going to get clogged with this stuff. I’m going to go into a CR chamber just to get it all out of my system.”

The Autobot glanced over at Prime as he gave the order to move out. “At least we didn’t have to listen to more battle plans or another ‘inspirational’ speech. I don’t think I could take another one of those.” He transformed into his car mode and revved his engine. “If there aren’t any Decepticons hear for me to bash then I might just have to base some Autobot heads in. Just stay out of my way when I do Sideswipe.” With a roar of his engine Sunstreaker took off, a large cloud of dust trailing behind him.

"Can it Sunstreaker!" Arcee called back, "If you were smart enough to have a paint job with ionized circuitry, you wouldn't have to worry about every single piece of dirt that comes your way! Sometimes I think you don't just so you have something to run your mouth about!" She sighed internally. She never did like Sunstreaker, though his brother was fine when they weren't together. His cocky attitude and his thinking that he's the best thing to ever come off of Cybertron really got her circuits burning. Besides, she had a much nicer looking altmode, and yellow was such an ugly color.

Sideswipe appeared like magic next to his twin and internally groaned when Sunny began to bitch. He knew his brother was a soar head, but to moan about his paint job and this dismal planet at the same time; he almost couldn't take it. Although he did believe that this planet was a rather disgusting place to be. Dry here; wet there, little things walking around that you could squish under your feet; it was a nightmare to say the least.

“You know Sunny, you could be right. You’re gonna need an overhaul, and I might be right behind you.”

Sideswipe transformed and followed right behind his golden brother. Just then Arceechimed in. He felt an internal cringe knowing the femme had no clue who she was talking to.

“Arcee keep your opinions to yourself, besides this isn’t the place to chide my bro.” He opened a comm. link with the femmebot. “Watch yourself Arcee, I’m gonna be too busy with the Cons to watch your back.”

Sideswipe pushed passed Arcee to reach Sunstreaker.

Hot Rod had been quiet the entire time they were in the briefing room and now with the bounce he was even quieter. He listened closely to the banter going on, and couldn’t help but notice the uncharacteristic way Arcee had verbally taken on the single most dangerous Bot there was. He opened a comm. to her as he transformed to his alt mode.

"Although you didn't really help it." He added, walking into the cave opening his friend had occupaid. "I barely made it into your first teleportation zone. Too bad someone forgot to mention the next one."

The blueish seeker leaned against the stonewall behind him and let the holodevice that allowed stationary camoflauge blend him against the wall, out of sight from eyes too curious for their own good. Inside Area 51

Ordway released Megatron as he entered the chamber. The Decepticon shifted into his much more massive and imposing robot form with Soundwave joining him seconds later. The two Transformers fit comfortably in the massive chamber. They walked through it as various humans scattered out of their path. The two Decepticons reached their destination in just a few steps. A solitary figure stood in front of them, silent and motionless.

“So, this is where you have been all of this time, Shockwave.”

Shockwave was surrounded by scaffolding. Several panels on the Decepticon had been pried or cut open, allowing various cables and other devices to be attached to his inert form. It seemed particular interest had been paid to his gun arm as cables led directly from it to a nearby console. The humans were obviously experimenting on the Decepticon, likely trying to figure out how his weapon worked and how to replicate it. The odd energy readings they had picked up had likely come from their attempts to fire similar weapons.

“And what was it that felled you ‘mighty’ Shockwave.” Megatron walked away from the motionless Decepticon, hands behind his back and a bemused expression on his face. “Was it these pathetic humans that defeated you? I would hope not. No, it must have been him and his group. You brought each other down.”

Megatron stopped in front of another figure. This one was frozen with his right hand outstretched as if he had been fighting until the last. “Yes, Grimlock and his group must have laid you low just as you did to them.” Grimlock stood amongst the rest of his unit, all in stasis lock in a variety of positions and modes. Whatever battle had taken place between them had happened sometime ago. Dirt and rocks still clung to them from their excavation.

“Well, I had not anticipated this. The situation does present some interesting possibilities though.” Megatron rubbed his chin as he considered the possibilities.

Soundwave stepped next to his commander. “Megatron, Laserbeak reports. Autobots approaching location.”

“Hmmm, very well. Signal Astrotrain to begin his operation. Once he is done have him come down and join us. We may have some cargo for him. Then alert the others to join us and be ready to engage the Autobots.”

“As you command, Megatron.”

Earth Orbit

Astrotrain floated in geosynchronous above the Earth. Once again he was sentenced to the most boring duty. He was starting to get used to it. At least he didn’t have to deal with all of the obnoxious seekers. If those guys could fight as well as they could run their mouths off they probably would have won this war already.

Once he got the signal from Soundwave he activated his laser turret. It popped out of the belly of his shuttle mode. With a few burst of his thrusters and some quick laser blasts the designated targets were destroyed. With another blast of his engines he was soaring back down to the Earth.

"Keep up, or stay outta my way," Runamuck says to Swindle as he transforms. the open desert isn't Runamucks preferred environment, no one else to smash into on the way, but it is open and lets him hit top speed. A dust cloud pours from behind Runamuck as he speeds toward Megatrons location, approximately 275 miles to the northwest.
"I'll be there in just over a Cycle if i can just get to top speed," he thinks to himself. After exiting the windy canyon road he makes a left turn onto Highway 15 and thinks to himself "Ooh, time to play with the natives." A blue S.U.V. is the first target.

I-15 S Entering Nevada

Slam! Slam! Screech! As Runamuck repeatedly slams into the side of the Vehicle as it swerves off the road. A 70's station wagon is in front of him, a little boy is staring out the back window, wide eyed as Runamuck rams the vehicle. The station wagon spins out of control and strikes the pick-up truck in the next lane, as Runamuck passes them "Hehehe...these humans don't know how to move," he says as he continues his path of mayhem and destruction.
"Too bad i have to leave the party, just when it was gettin' fun," as Runamuck turns Left onto what humans have affectionately named Extraterrestrial Hwy.

Extraterrestrial Hwy/NV-375

Runamuck tears down the road at maximum speed. "I might not be flying, but its sure close. Besides, you cant fall from the sky when you're on the ground"

Sunstreaker only snickered at Arcee’s comments. “Like I give a slag what you think Arcee. We all know you care more about these little creatures then you do your own kind, wasting all of that time on their networks. Let me guess, you’re all excited to see some of them aren’t you. Sure there’ll be some Decepticons to fight but, oh boy there’ll be humans!”

The Autobot pulled alongside the femme. “Maybe Prime will let you take one home. Maybe an injured one you can nurse back to health. I hope you have some human names picked out for him.” The warrior laughed as his engine roared and he raced in front of Arcee. He swerved out in front of her and briefly fishtailed, sending a cloud of dirt and dust up at the other Autobot.

“Get this straight Arcee, I’m here to kill Cons, nothing else. So I suggest you and your little pet humans don’t get between me and them or the results won’t be pretty.”

“Very good Soundwave. Now I believe it is time for us to join the coming battle.” The Decepticon commander moved to the center of the massive room. He lifted his right arm and unleashed a blast from his fusion cannon. The room was briefly illuminated by the purple color of the massive blast until it slammed into the ceiling. The ceiling shook and pieces of girders and support fell to the ground as the shot impacted it. Steel, dirt and rock disintegrated in the path of the blast until it ripped through and into the open air above. There was now a clear path to the surface.

Megatron walked over to the stasis locked form of Soundwave, brushing aside the scaffolding that surrounded him and tearing out the wires and cables attached to him. “Soundwave, the others will take time to get here and we may need more immediate reinforcements.”

Soundwave nodded, knowing exactly what his commander meant. “Rumble, Frenzy, eject. Operation: Annihilation!” Two giant data discs ejected from his chest, quickly transforming into the twin Decepticons.

Rumble smacked his right fist into his empty left hand. “Aw right! Finally time to bust up some Autochumps!”

Frenzy pumped his fist in the air. “Yeah!”

Megatron, having freed Shockwave from all of the human devices and entrapments, flung the Decepticon over his shoulder. The Decepticon commander flew up towards the hole he had made, flying up to the surface, the three other Decepticons following close behind.

Motto: "I'm not psycho...I just like psychotic things."
Outside Area 51

With his laser rifle at the ready the Autobot commander pushed forward as the rest of his team closed in behind. As he made his way down a small embankment Prime spotted a small metallic flier above the human facility. It was Laserbeak. In one swift motion Prime brought his laser rifle to bear and took a shot at the Decepticon spy. The shot flew past the wings of the metal bird making Laserbeak turn tale and head away from the approaching Autobots. Without missing a beat Optimus Prime called to his elite team.

“Alright Autobots, ready yourselves for battle. Megatron knows we’re here and he will surely not hold back.”

Prime stopped just in time to miss a few straggling humans leaving the site. They did not stop to stare as they made their way as far from the compound as possible. Just then the ground shook underneath Prime’s feet.

“What the…”

As he caught his balance the ground near him broke open revealing the inner workings of the underground area. Optimus Prime’s optics focused on the figures flying out of the underground bunker with only one word escaping his vocalizer.

“Megatron!”

As he called out his opposite's name he opened a private comm. link with Wheeljack and Bumblebee.

>>”Wheeljack, Bumblebee, I want both of you to make your way into the compound to verify that Shockwave was the only Cybertronian the humans had.”<<

Outside Area 51

Even from the rear, Pipes could hear the trade of barbs and retorts made between Arcee and Sunstreaker. He wasn’t entirely familiar with either of the two, and he tried his best to not pay any attention. Though, he had to admit he could sympathize with the female Autobot. For as different as their two races were, the Cybertronian had a certain respect towards the Earthlings, for their intuitive nature and specialized mechanical ability. Surely she was right, were they not worth protecting?

As he approached the others, he did not have a chance to speak his mind, as the ground shook under him. The Autobot nearly lost his balance but thankfully kept his balance. Transforming to a truck cab, Pipes moved on forward towards what he thought to be the approaching enemy.

“Come on guys, let’s not fight each other. The real battle is ahead of us.” He said to his comrades in passing.

Grand Canyon

Swindle was somewhat taken back by Runamuck’s retort. True he was very rough-edged, even for a Decepticon. However, that was no call for rudeness, at least in his mind.

“Hmph. Touchy, aren’t we?” Swindle said to himself, “Well, as Megatron commands.”

The Jeep Wrangler followed the large cloud of dust left behind by Runamuck, driving along the winding path of the canyon and on to the highway. As he drove down the road to the target, he took note of the number of human-driven vehicles, now battered and broken, lying about on the desert fields. Even though he couldn’t readily see him, Swindle could easily see all this mindless bedlam for what it was; Runamuck having fun.

“I can’t say that this behavior is standard protocol.” He mused to himself, carefully avoiding the wrecks littered along the hot asphalt. From what little he had gathered during his time on this planet, the Decepticon thought of how these human would be needing insurance to cover the damages and how quickly a profit could be gained from such an endeavor. For such inferior creatures, these were a people with a very dirty sense of business, something that the former arms dealer respected in a sense. Were some situations different, they could make for some worthy business partners in free enterprise. Sadly, these plans could not be made, at least not in the present. With that, Swindle continued onto the Extraterrestrial Highway and towards his mission destination.

Outside Area 51

>>Got it Prime, we're on our way in now.<< Bumblebee responded to the private comm from Optimus Prime. He then turned to Wheeljack. "You heard Optimus 'Jack, lets get our afts in gear and see what else in there."

"You got it!." Wheeljack said he transformed into his alternate mode and was soon followed by Bumblebee. "We'd better floor it Bumblebee, I don't want Megatron to notice us before we have a chance to get down that hole he just blasted."

The engines of the two Autobot's roared as they kicked themselves into high speed and they flew towards the perimeter fence of Area 51. Wheeljack had to hold back on his speed a bit so Bumblebee could keep up, the yellow minibot was no slouch of a driver, but he just wasn't as fast as the engineer. The two bots slammed through the security check point and with a loud screech of tires they both turned hard to the right and soared to the buildings of Area 51. They split up and used the builds as cover, humans scattering some confused as to why they two oddly matched cars were doing on their base. The pair shot out from their cover and transformed back into their robot modes seconds before the dived into the hole and descended into the inner areas of the base.

Wheeljack landed with a heavy thud, shaking the already ruined section of Area 51, knees bending as they absorbed the force of the impact. Less then a second later Bumblebee landed behind him. The engineer straightened up to his full height and looked around. From what he could see Megatron had already done a number on this area, much of the equipment and super structure had been blasted apart by the Decepticon leaders fusion cannon. However, it didn't take long for Wheeljack to see what else was in here.

"Whoa.. is that Grimlock?" Wheeljack said, his vocalizers glowing softly in the dust filled cavern. "Bumblebee, looks like the humans managed to not only dig up Shockwave, but Grimlock and his entire crew!"

Wheeljack walked over to Grimlock and stood in front of him and observed what had happened to him. Bumblebee walked up behind him, scanning the area for any Decepticons that may have doubled back. Wheeljack noted the various wires, cables, tubes and other pieces of equipment hooked up to Grimlock. He knew the humans were primitive, but not this primitive, this was borderline barbaric! Regardless it didn't appear they had actually caused any serious damage, other then cutting open their own ports and holds in his considerable armour.

"Is he dead Wheeljack?"

"No, just in stasis lock." Wheeljack said not even looking back at Bumblebee as he produced his tool kit and began to carefully cut away the various wires. "I think I can reactivate him in a breem or two actually, looks like he just needed his systems purged of to much raw energon radiation. You better let Prime know."

>>Bumblebee calling Optimus Prime. Me and Wheeljack have entered Area 51 and we have discovered that the humans are not only holding Shockwave, but Grimlock and his entire crew as well. 'Jack says they are in stasis lock from over exposure to raw energon. He thinks he can get them on line in a few breems.<<

Wheeljack had now removed safely all of the various devices the humans had hooked up to Grimlock and had sealed most of the opened panels and sections, except for the ones on his head. He was now reworking several disconnected systems and had everything in working order.

"Lets hope this works." Wheeljack muttered closing the open panel on Grimlock's head.

Wheeljack produced an emergency energon reserve charge from his tool kit and opened the access port to Grimlock's energon pump and placed the charge against it. He hit the button and there was a loud whine followed by a thump as energon was injected directly into Grimlock's systems.

Taking a step back and with Bumblebee looking on, Wheeljack waited and watched to see if his quick field repair job had managed to reactive Grimlock.

Above Area 51

Circling at a moderate height above the human base was Aftershot keeping a careful optic on what was happening on the ground. He watched as Optimus lead the ground team towards Area 51, and even heard the spat between Arcee and Sunstreaker. As much as he disliked the yellow twin, he thought that Arcee could of has better luck wrestling a Dynobot then challenging that self centered psycho. Regardless he had a CAP to run and his attention was suddenly drawn away from his fellow Autbots as an explosion ripped a hole open in the ground, exposing the inner levels of Area 51.

Aftershot watched as Prime opened fire on Laserbeak and ordered Wheeljack and Bumblebee to get inside and check for any other Cybertronians. The Autobot flier took the safeties off his weapons and slowly turned and began to position himself so he could provide air support for his comrades on the ground.

>>Aftershot calling Optimus, I am in position to provide air support. Call the targets you want me to hit and I'll give 'em a missile idea or two to their faceplate.<<

Outside Area 51

"Looks like all the humans are clearing out. That means this battle can be fought with no holding back!" Arcee called out. She thought about what the others had said about her egging on Sunstreaker... It's true, the guy was psychotic, but he was also one of the best fighters that Autobots had. She'd watch her mouth in the future.
