Ive yet to try it myself, but I seem to recall reading that a soldering iron is the best way to go. Holding it to the pin heats it up, making the plastic holding it soft and allowing the wheel to be removed..

Like I said though, Ive never tried it myself..

I'm not really sure if this has been addressed yet, but I'm on the verge of repainting a Classics Hot Rod and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make flames? I've already taken decals as a suggestion, but I would like to make them look like the flames that came with the American Version of the figure. Can anyone help me out with this?

well if u have a drawing of the flames all u need is to use a decal or a sticky sheet and just cut the inner part and use them as a template .

then u can airbrush it or just tap the paint in with a stencil brush(it has a flat 180 degree head ).

I ve done flames on Car Models. Get a flame decals, use the outter piece, place it the way you want, then make sure you use masking tape to cover all the parts you dont want to be painted, then use red Tamiya (or which ever color you want). Make sure that the surface you are painting is clean of Glue, or fingers prints, cause that will show under the Paint.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into this as well! :D

hi, sorry if the answer to this exists any where on the forum, but i'm meant to be working, and don't have time to look--i read somewhere it's possible to dye plastic, and just wondered what stuff would i use/and where do i get it from. I'm looking to repaint a slight kitbash of energon megatron in to g1 megs colours. I particularly want to try it with the thigh area, since it is a sore spot for paint scraping. Also is it viable to dye a dark plastic with a lighter colour?
Thanks any help would be appreciated, still consider myself a beginner.

Anyone know the best way to put a Binaltech Grimlock head on a Binaltech Meister/Zoom body? The head peg on Meister is larger in diameter than the peg hole on Grimlock's head. Should I modify the vehicles or should I modify the head somehow?

I want to turn my red Meister/Jazz into Stunticon Dead End. If I can reduce the points on the sides of Grimlock's head, paint his visor purple, I think it would make a great Dead End head.

I have a question about Repainting. I have always thought my self to be pretty artistic, and want to give this repainting a try, but should I bleach the figure first or repaint over the color already on the figure? If I bleach the figure, what do u guys recommend?

Hey guys, so I'm interested in customs(but probably won't do any myself for a while, at LEAST till next summer) and I noticed on TFW there is a completely scratchbuilt Animated Omega Supreme, made from styrene I believe.

So basically, I realized to fix scale problems, it seems possible to just build whatever you want, any advice or help on using styrene to custom make things?
