You can have the Boomstick. I have Bessie and my prized Pestilent Defiler. You kill Crawmerax a dozen times, you walk away with some nice loot.

My favorite will always be the Vladov Detonating Hammer. Gave it to Roland with a maxed out "Overload" and "Scattershot". Rapid fire explosive shells like the gun Crews used in the expendables, holy SH*T was that gun fun. Especialy in the zombie island, or Mad Moxies Underdome Riot, or really whenever facing a horde of anything.

I remember, on my first playthrough, I was using Sledge's Shotgun for a good long while. Only two shells and you had to use both at once but damn if it didn't get me through the game in style. Bessie, though? The only sniper rifles more powerful than a Bessie is a Bessie with a higher damage rating. With the right mods and perks, it can do upwards of 12,000 damage for very critical hit.

I don't normally have sex with guns, but I'd make an exception for Bessie.
