You miss killing people.

...okay.

I don't expect you to understand, it isn't the killing that I miss, that would be psychotic. It's the ending of a threat, knowing that what you're doing is stopping that person/s from harming another.

How to explain this, the way your putting it isn't really accurate for my unit. I think your thinking of what delta, seals, ect do, our unit was just a regular company, well regular for the 10th. We did see a lot of action against the taliban, but that really didn't make us a counterterrorism unit, just a counterinsurgency unit.

I was in from the fall of 2000 to the spring of 2011. However enough about that, what I did wasn't special I simply served.

I hope that the explosion in Texas is unrelated to the Boston event.

Amen. The West (the town's actual name, not the direction), TX explosion was probably an accident. It was a fertilizer plant and that stuff is explosive.

Responding Halo comment on Massachusetts not having the death penalty, I think this Boston terror would count as a federal crime, not a state crime. Any federal crime punishment (including the death penalty) would supercede any state crime punishment. However, I do not know legalese and my only law experience was a class on Roman Law in college.

Wasn't it the 20th anniversary of Waco though, which is just around the corner? I remember Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma bombing coming exactly 2 years after Waco.

Strange times.

They're not quite certain how the first suspect died; he was shot by police, but they think he might have survived had he not been subsequently run over by the other suspect.

Speaking of, they're Russian. I can't say I saw that one coming, I kind of thought they'd both turn out to be American.

Technically Kyrghyzistanis who moved to Russia then the US, but plenty good enough.

I will have to praise every one of you guys for having a civilized discussion on this subject, unlike many comments filled troll, pseudo-intellectual, and just plain ignorant comments like this one:

Scary thing is, fifty years ago, this would have been enough to incite World War III.

I initially thought it was going to be domestic. Given they've lived in the US for a couple of years, close enough.

Their mother is calling it a set up though as her boys would never do anything like that.

And while no offense is intended by this, I do get a little chuckle thinking about poor little Kim Jr. sitting over in North Korea yelling "HEWWO! I have nuclear weapons! Pay attention to me!" because since the bombs went off in Boston, North Korea news has been scarce!

It's because at this point, North Korea, and especially Kim Jong Un, is inherently funny. He's like the kid in school who always tried to pick a fight even though he had no backup and no ability to actually fight.

Here's a thing I have been pondering.

Man-junk somtimes decides to position itself in a way that makes walking somewhat of a challenge. Should it become socially acceptable to correct one's junk in public? Because now I tend to shake my leg awkwardly in an attempt to casually how my dong to a more comfortable position. Which just looks even more awkward, IMO.

Pfft, I'm glad I don't have that problem of consideration for others in public. If I have crotch discomfort, I adjust myself, or my undies, regardless of who's around. Don't get me wrong, I don't start fondling myself or anything, but the ceasing of my discomfort comes before the regard for others. But to actually answer your question, I think it should be acceptable. I see women adjusting their bra straps and cups all the time. Technically it's not their crotch, but it is considered a private area. If they're allowed, why aren't men? But as I said, this is beyond my range of consideration. I do what I want.

I think it has more to do with the fact that your crotch is your sexual organ's area. To Roddy's point of women adjusting bras: breasts are not technically a sexual organ, they are simply, how to say...worshipped as such. I don't vew it any differently than when a woman whips them out to feed a child. It'd be different if women went around adjusting their...you know.

That said, we men really do get the short stick. Do what I do - "trip" a tiny bit when walking. Completely innocent.
