Touché. BUT, if the Normandy invasion hadn't been such a success, we'd all be speaking German right now. And let's face it: June 6, 1944 was almost a crapshoot, with lousy weather leading up to that day. Almost until that point, Germany was poised for victory. It may not have been the only factor in the downfall of the Third Reich, but it was certainly the physically largest.

So I just got hired for my first job ever at Subway. I start tomorrow. Kinda nervous, since... y'know, first job.

On the plus side, I don't have Burn, Va'al, and ScoutBumblebee nagging me on that anymore.

From what I was told, it's everything in the shop. Cleaning, making the sandwiches, cashiering, cleaning the heads, whatever.

You can't blame a guy for trying to score some green. Besides, if I wasn't around, the girls would do it for free anyway. I might as well make some money. >:oP

Also, it seems like we got the best World Cup title match possible this year: Germany vs. Argentina.

Ah, the works. Be sure to take it in steps and when manning the register, repeat the order to the customer. May seem superfluous, but it goes a long way in preventing mistakes. The places here do it (sometimes), so you should too. Good luck! :)

No no, I'm not trying to belittle Mindmaster or anything. I was just busting chops. Alas, a combination of the lack of emotional/tonal conveyance of the Internet, and some probable mis-wording on my part have made my jesting come off bad.

Let me start over; Congrats on scoring your first gig, my friend! I remember my own - I was lucky to score a good paying job in the kitchen at a 3 - 4 star Country Club, which payed my way through culinary school! I hope you have the same success and more.

Oh no, My post was referring to your statement about calling dibs on my hotties. When I said "You can't blame a guy for trying to score some green." I was talking about myself. And yeah, I should have put different emoticons in there to let you know I was goofing around. As they say on the streets, "My bad." Image

Congrats, man! My best friend works at Subway. I hear it's pretty fun if you've got some good co-workers.

On a different note, here's one of my personal favorites. Enjoy, gentlemen.

Went and saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes today. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thought Rise of the Planet of the Apes was one of the most brilliant movies I'd seen so I'd been waiting on this.

What I liked most about Rise was the story, it told a great story and was full of emotion and the best performances was from Andy Serkis and the rest of the Apes.

Dawn continued that, Andy Serkis as Caesar was once again, brilliant. Story wise it concentrated more on the apes, suffice to say, until the humans appear, there's a lot of sub-titles.

If you enjoyed Rise, you'll enjoy Dawn, highly recommend it.

I thought about seeing "Dawn". I rewatched "Rise" last week.

One upcoming film I'm really wanting to see is "Lucy". It looks really good, IMO.

I'm going to see Dawn while I'm on vacation next week. I haven't seen Rise yet, but my buddy is bringing his copy so we can watch it the night before. I'm a pretty big fan of the original PotA movies... I'm not gonna be disappointed, am I?

Meh, I think the previews pretty much told the story. I liked Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but I just couldn't get very excited for this one. Maybe I'll see it on Netflix or something in a year. The next movie I'd like to see is The Guardians of the Galaxy. I might catch The Purge 2, and The Fluffy Movie as well, Gabriel Iglesias is hilarious. Then it's onto The Turtles, Expendables 3, and finally A Dame to Kill For. That pretty much ends my summer at the movies. I was gonna see Hercules, but the more I see of it, the less I like it. Too bad, The Rock is actually a pretty good actor.

Obviously there is a lot more to it than the previews, from what I recall of them it was mostly the human/ape interaction. I don't think much has been shown of Caesar/Koba. If you liked Rise, you'll like Dawn.

Definitely hanging out for Guardians, found out it's opening here a week after the US. Idiots.

I worked on Rise of the apes. Built the the "zoo" facility Cesar was held "captive" in. Pain in the ass but the movie actually being pretty awesome was the reward at the end of the day.

I'm looking forward to seeing Dawn and hear nothing but good things about it.

Kinda. I always watch Con Air on July 14th, because that's the day the movie takes place. (Yeah, I'm weird. STFU. Image ) The Rock is 1 of my top 5 favorite movies of all time (go BAY!!! ) and starting this year, I will watch that as well.
