Starsaber vs Deszaras at the end of Victory. Pretty visceral and epic. Good stuff.

I think everyone's listed mine, but they'd be Optimus VS Megatron at the end of both Armada, and Cybertron. Then, the fight between Prime and Megs in Prime at the end of "One Shall Fall".

Another favorite scene, which may or may not qualify as a fight, would be Starscream VS all the Autobots on the space bridge trying to obtain the Omega Lock.

It counts. Did you see how beat up he was?

Which episode was that in? I want to go back and watch it again...

I think it was "Super Ginrai gets blown away in the desert?!" Original, I know.

Awesome animation and fight. Then again, there's so many in Victory alone that could make this list in my opinion.

Dinobot's last stand in Code of Hero was an emotional rollercoaster of a fight. Depth Charge vs Rampage was another really epic fight. Not just the fight either, but the pure hate and intensity of the two. Depth Charge was one of my favorite characters just because he was so twisted by his hate.

"Raw Energon! Right through your twisted spark! Take it! Take it straight to the Pit, you sickening piece of slag!"

Then Rampage lets go. And laughs. God does he laugh. And you have to wonder if he's laughing at the fact that Depth Charge has finally done it, or that he's managed to turn a lawful bot into a remorseless and hate-filled entity bent on revenge. Either way, it is truly a haunting way to end a scene.

The last episode of Transformers Animated had some awesome fights too, though. Omega Supreme versus the clones, Prime versus Megatron, and Prowl's ultimate sacrifice. Then the very end, when Megatron finally addresses Optimus by name and the latter proves just how worthy he is of the Magnus Hammer he holds. I was sad to see it end when there had been plans for another season, but I can't deny that this episode was a blast of a finale.

And of course, the '86 movie. Prime vs Megs, Devastator attacking the city, Starscream's foot, and the end fight between Rodimus and Galvatron was just epic beyond belief. When he holds up the Matrix and hears Optimus' voice, just... Wow.

Agreed with everything apart from the Rodimus and Galvatron fight. Sure, it was great to hear Optimus' voice as Rodimus rose, but the fight? If memory serves me correctly the fight was Galvatron throwing 2 or 3 punches and then getting tossed out of Unicron. I wouldn't call the fight epic, the moment of Rodimus rising yes, the fight, no.

While not such an iconic fight as many of those already mentioned, I did enjoy the fight between Metroplex and Trypticon at the end of 'Ultimate Weapon'.

Meh. It was still a pretty epic moment. Would it please you if I called it an epic scene with a fight in it instead?

The G1 episode where Megs absorbs the power rectifier chips from the other D'cons and slaps OP around like a girl...and then Huffer has to pull Prime's trailer home for him.

Well, if you have ever seen the youtube comedy redub...its pretty funny.

Seriously though?

The final fight between OP and Megs on Animated season 1 finale...I always thought that series had more of the spirit of Transformers than any other series.
The A'bots were supposed to be the eternal UNDERDOGS, after all. The D'cons were supposed to be military bots and the A'bots were all supposed to be manual labor / construction / worker drone bots. And yet, the Decepticons were constantly shown to be weaker, more cowardly, and even less "military minded" than the Autobots.
Animated, however, tips the scales back to where I thought canonnical doctrine says it should be...with the Autobots as the underdogs having to scrape, scrounge, and improvise for every victory. Megatron is truly an imposing threat who shadows every episode until the season finale...and heck, even Starscream totally owned for the first 3 episodes...its about time my favorite 'con got the "bad-ass" moment in the spotlight he deserves.

Don't make me choose...!

There are solid choices from just about every show, but my personal favorites are:

Starscream vs Galvatron; "Showdown", Transformers: Cybertron

Optimus Prime vs Megatron; "One Shall Fall", Transformers: Prime

Dinobot vs the Predacons; "Code of Hero", Beast Wars

If we included comics and video games I'd throw in Shockwave vs Megatron from the US Marvel run #6 "The Worse of Two Evils!", and the final battle between the Autobots and Decepticons at the end of Fall of Cybertron.

Prime OP versus Megs in One Shall Fall, with OP and Megs back to back in One Shall Rise, Part 3. The back to back is made even more epic by the disheartening Arcee must face; where matter what the Autobots accomplish, they will never be as well-oiled and in sync as Optimus and Megatron.

Of course, the 5 seconds of fun Soundwave and Airachnid enjoyed come to mind.

Though a recent Predaking fight was pretty freaking badass as well.

 As I was reading through the entirety of the thread, I kept saying to myself, "Sabrblade is going to say something from Rescue Bots."

In all honesty though, that was a great episode in general :)

'Least it wasn't the first thing I said. ;)

But yeah, there's just so many great battles to pick out of 30 years-worth of fiction. 8)

I gotta say Dinobot vs the entire Predacon team in Beast Wars "Code of a Hero."

Honorable mention: Megatron and Optimus Prime in the final episodes of Animated season 3.

I'm not sure of the parameters here. Should we consider large-scale fights, long fights, stylish fights, satisfying fights, decisive fights or fights with unexpected endings? How about Spiderman vs. Megatron (Marvel US issue 3)? I liked those Ultra Magnus vs. Galvatron fights in Marvel UK comics. For a large-scale fight, see my fan fic where Primus destroys enormous numbers of dark gods across multiple universes!
