Now that the lock out is over and the season just a short time off, it is time to kick off the annual football thread here on Seibertron.

Go Saints!!

IF Niners land Namdi, its over... face it their defense is a secondary away from Elite.

The Browns are going suck again this year, but I'm a loyal fan nonetheless.

Go Browns!

If Tony Romo stays healthy, I expect a nice NFC East Championship in our favor (Cowboys).

Quite a lot of interesting deals in free agency right now.

Seems the big winners so far are New England and Carolina while the losers seem to be Minnesota and Cincinnati. >:oP

Did the McNabb trade happen now or was that a few months ago... my memory is joggy. Either way, that's pretty questionable on Minnesota's count.

McNabb is a Viking. Nothing much to get excited about for Minnesota. The season will be mediocre at best.

And now the Eagles have the greatest Secondary in the NFL... Nnamdi, Rodgers-Cromartie and Samual. Damn thats just sad.

And my Niners once again suck their thumbs and let teams plunder their roster.

Eagles are looking rather explosive now. We'll see if the players can play as a team, or if the egos will take over, and we'll have another Cincinnati 2010.

The rich get richer... course I pity DeSean Jackson. To get snubbed so dramatically just because the Eagles wanted to make noice by grabbing a star Free Agent. Their motto is appearing to be, pay outsiders before you pay your own.

I do hope it works out for him, but man what a lousy message to send to the players.

Well after a slow start, the Niners start making unexpected splashes. They have finally come to terms with Carlos Rogers, Dante Whitner and Braylon Edwards. Talk about unexpected steals.

If Braylon can keep his **** together off the field, he's a good weapon for them.

Now, to make a bold preseason prediction, Super Bowl XLVI will be

New York Jets or Oakland Raiders vs. Philadelphia Eagles or Green Bay Packers.

Some people are wondering where Terrell Owens (T.O.) is going to land. ESPN was talking on SportsNation and some think Philadelphia will pick him up. If the Eagles pick up T.O. ...oh man the NFC is going to be tough this year.

Same here. Though I was fairly sure there would be football (too much money), I was still a bit on edge about the lockout, due to its impact on the offseason and training camp.

The lockout sabotaged all conversation at work. We needed football to help us survive out days.

Shame my niners got beat, but at least I got to see my cousin suit up.

My Carolina Panthers won their first preseason game this year. Considering we were 2-14 last year for regular season I consider that an achievement.
