Thanks for the compliments, yeah that Lion-O piece is still a fave for me. I sad I wasn't able to work more on it before the contract was done and over..maybe in the future I'll get a chance. I would luv to see your artowork actually, I'm pretty appreciative of all artwork mostly. If anything, we can give you tips on how to further develop your craft...I think to date I've been pretty harmless when it comes to critiquesAgain though, would love to see your work.

Groovey, you posted your art! The Cardcaptor piece is probably your most developed and strongest piece. And you gave excellent advise, the only way to be better at drawing is to keep on drawing, it's very true.
As far as reference, at least for me, I always use references for whatever I'm making being nothing imitates life better then real life. If I have trouble drawing people, I go out and just draw people. Animals, I visit the zoo or museums and go to it. So, don't worry about using references, they're an artist best friend.
One last thing though, Light and Shadow. Once you master how light bounces off a surface and casts shadows, you can bring any piece to life and give it more interest. Hence why I like your Cardcaptor piece more, it has more of a sense of the light and cast shadows.
Hope you can share more and thanks for sharing with us
