She's got a great personality and she's such a good friend to the others. I wish she got treated a bit better by the writers, though. I'm 15 episodes in and it took forever for her to regain her spirit after being the first one to lose it.

I'm assuming anyone here who cares has watched it already, but I'll leave it spoilered until I figure out what the etiquette is in this thread.

Most would problaby say Ruki was the best since she got the most development, character focus, personification, win ratio, depth, and relationship dynamics of any female human character. ;)

Suit yourself. I think the only things that'd really need to be spoiler tagged would be stuff about Xros Wars since it hasn't been seen by as many as the others have (depsite it already being done and over with for a while now).

Been a while since I was last here. Haven't really kept up on Digimon, though I have watched a few of Xros Wars fights. The final one was a bit disappointing to me. This new series though, think I'll wait for the next one. Just doesn't look like my sort of thing.

Oh, well, that's the last one for now.

In other news, official Xros Wars English dub!

http://withthewill.net/index.php?topic=17232.0

What all we know thus far (as of this typing) is basically this:
  • It's being dubbed by Studiopolis
  • It's currently at the casting stage
  • Ben Diskin auditioned for a role in it (one of which was Shoutmon)
  • Despite it being an outdated practice for anime dubbing these days, some names are being Americanized
  • Taiki's name with be just slightly changed
  • Akari, Zenjirou, and Kiriha are also getting name changes
  • The term "DigiXros" may be left intact (Yay!)
  • Who bought the license is TBA
  • Jeff Nimoy is currently uninvolved

It's an okay name, I guess. Just so used to saying "Xros Wars". :P

Press release and official logo. Seriously, read the press release. There is a LOT of good news in this thing. :D

Saban Brands Acquires Digimon Brand

MarVista Entertainment to Manage International Distribution Beyond Asia

LOS ANGELES, CA (Sept. 25, 2012) - Saban Brands has acquired the Digimon franchise, adding the long-running Japanese anime property to its growing portfolio of entertainment assets. The acquisition, which encompasses rights to the property outside of Asia, continues Saban Brands' dramatic growth since reacquiring the Power Rangers property and purchasing lifestyle brand Paul Frank in 2010, amongst others. Saban Brands will work with MarVista Entertainment for distribution of the series outside of Asia. Japanese animation studio, Toei Animation Co., Ltd. will handle licensing and distribution of the property in Asia.

The Digimon franchise, which was first brought to the U.S. in 1999 by Saban's Fox Family Worldwide, explores a digital world where powerful creatures known as Digimon, or digital monsters, battle for supremacy. With the help of their young human partners, the Digimon defend their world and ours from various evil forces.

"We're thrilled to reconnect Saban Brands with Digimon, an entertainment franchise that embodies the strong fan base and growth potential we look for in new additions to our portfolio," said Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands. "We look forward to reintroducing the brand in new and exciting ways that will allow more fans to engage with Digimon."

Saban Brands will debut the newest season, Digimon Fusion, at MIPCOM, which will be held Oct. 8-11 in Cannes, France. MarVista Entertainment has been appointed to handle international distribution (outside of Asia) of the new season, as well as distribution for more than 250 half-hours episodes of Digimon content from the library.

"We are naturally excited to further extend our relationship with Saban Brands to represent the Digimon franchise and to present the latest iteration, Digimon Fusion, to international buyers at MIPCOM," commented Fernando Szew, Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of MarVista Entertainment. "Children worldwide have embraced the Digimon television series since its launch, providing strong ratings success for broadcasters around the globe, and we anticipate a lot of enthusiasm from current and new partners who will undoubtedly want to play a key role in the continued growth of the Digimon franchise."

Wow, that translation is mediocre. Typical Toei quality. >:oP

Yeah, the following were all announced at the Digimon 15th Anniversary event:
* Blu-Ray release for all the movies
* Blue-Ray release for Adventure
* New CD drama to come with the Adventure Blu-Ray release
* New Digimon anime series set in the Adventure universe with Taichi in high school at Age 17

And on the day before the event, Digimon All-Star Rumble for the PS3 and XBox 360 was announced for North America and Europe, but not for Japan.

And one more thing that was revealed at the event: S.H. Figuarts Alphamon!

Wonder if the events of Adeventure 02 still count in this new cartoon,I hope so.

The game looks fun,if can be anything like Digimon Rumble Arena,it will be entertaining!

Alphamon looks cool, but I don't where is he from so I don't have much connection with him.

A press release from Toei for the seventh anime made a reference to it, saying something like "Taichi was in elementary school in the first series, in middle school in the second series, and will now be in high school in the new series."

Though, let's not call it "Digimon Adventure 03" since Zero Two's "02" referred to the year that show took place in (2002), whereas this one will be set around 2005 (the first series set in the past compared to the world of the viewers).

Awesome, wasn't quite expecting them to announce Adventure 3 (if we can't call it 03 can we just say 3?). Movies and the first seasons on blu-ray and the new cyberslueth. Still will they make it so the endings for the gang match up totho shown in the ending of 02?

The new game...meh, never really got into the rumble arena games, I'd rather see a new digimon world game or a 3DS remake of digimon world 3.
