I've watched the majority of seasons 1 and 2, some of season 3, and I think all of Digimon Frontier. I watched the first episode of Data Squad then pretty much forgot about Digimon till I saw your sig. Also, I'm new here.

Only in the English dub. It was a concept that was to have been used in Tamers, but was dropped for some reason.ceratoformers3 wrote:I read somewhere Adventure and Zero Two is a tv show in Tamers. Is that true?

Who on Earth is "Brickmon"?ceratoformers3 wrote:I need to go watch Season 3. I saw the first two or so episodes and bits of pieces of the rest. I'm also not an expert on all the different Digimon. I only remember the Digi-Destined's Digimon(Agumon, Garurumon, Guilomon)some that appear a lot(Bokomon, Trainmon, Leomon, Wizardmon), and some that just etched on to my brain(Burgermon, Brickmon, Candlemon).

Just gonna post this here and post information when necessary.
Discussion will still be in the news thread: http://www.withthewill.net/index.php?topic=13374.0
Obviously all of this is 'as we know it thus far' and could change.
The title of the new series is Digimon Around. (Figure I should put this here since I thought of it, it's always possible it could be a one off movie or special, ala X-Evolution. All info most definitely points to a SERIES, but nice to cover the bases.)
It will begin airing in the spring.
The normal timeslot Digimon has is currently taken by Dragon Ball Kai. It could mean any of the following: Kai will take a break, Kai will move timeslots, Digimon will get a new timeslot, or other options I'm not thinking of at the moment.
It appears a DS and Wii game will come out while the show is airing. These games MAY be connected to the anime in some way.
The show will likely be announced at Jump Festa, or an upcoming issue of V-Jump.
One of those sites that list info on upcoming anime does indeed have Digimon Around listed, which confirms earlier information. (http://fukuani.hp.infoseek.co.jp/fukuani_shinban.html)
The info thus far gives us enough information to 'generally' say, that YES a new show is in fact coming, and it isn't a rumor.
But it is always nice to lean a little bit on the side of 'maybe not' until we get an official announcement.

What does G1 have to do with Digimon? If you're referring to the first series, it's called "Adventure".Blurrz wrote:New Digimon Sux. G1 is de best.

Unlike the vast amount of TF series, there exist only five Digimon TV series: Adventure, Adventure 02 (A.K.A. Adventure Zero Two or simply "Zero Two" for short), Tamers, Frontier, and Savers. The English dubs called these series Season 1, 2, 3, 4, and Digimon Data Squad (not "Season 5", surprisingly). Each series, except the last two, got two movies each (Forntier and Savers got one each, and the X-Evolution movie is a standalone film). Though, there are also some manga series (one or two of which pre-date the first anime), and many video games too.Blurrz wrote:There's so many different names from the Digimon series that'll give me a headache.
