Ok folks, who here likes Nerf guns and loves shooting them. I've been buying Nerf guns once they stopped with the pumping action and got a little muscle behind them. I'm really into the new Vortex line and would love to read your thoughts on it. I have the Vigilon and am thinking of getting the next two blasters after it.

ITS NERF or NOTHING!

I dig the vortex line, the discs are pretty accurate and i really like the clip like loading device on the hand gun. but for some reason i tend to lose the discs more than the darts.

I really make an effort to keep an eye on where they go. Hopefully they'll make glow in the dark discs at some point.

Well I have a review of the Nitron going up tomorrow and I called it as we all now know they put out glow in the dark discs. If you check out Amazon or HTS they sell the clips separate. I have one ordered for my Nitron and I'll let you know how it is. I'm also selling off some of my older blasters to make room for the elites. let me know if anyone is interested.

I like some of the older guns and the melee weapons are fun with friends. At least thats how I remember it being, doesn't compare much once you go Airsoft and protective gear.

Get a Nerf melee weapon and a gun, get a friend or two to do the same. The goal is to hit your friend a certain amount of times, and the only way to deflect the oncoming bullets is with your melee weapon. Its more fun than it sounds. Lay down some "powerups" for added fun (i.e can get hit one extra time, melee weapon insta-kill, etc) but make them difficult to find, or the goal in a "capture the flag" type game.

Yeah, we used to Nerf all the frikkin time. I still have my Maverick around here somewere, damn good gun. I wonder if my cousin still has his longshot?

I dont have any of the new stuff though, kinda lost its point once I moved away from all of my friends.

They just did an update to the Maverick called the Strongarm. The mechanism that rotates the barrel has been improved.

Here's my review of the Vortex Nitron. It's a fantastic blaster that's fully auto. Right now it's this and the Stampede on the dart side for full auto blasters. I recommend it, check out the video.
