Samurai Volume episode 4 -
Dragotron now looks a LOT more like the Beast Fire Predaking toy mold than before, when he looked more like the Voyager toy. If one wanted to, I guess one could use the Beast Fire Predaking toy to represent the comatose version of Dragotron.
Dragotron's awakening is very close now. He starts emanating great amounts of energy, some of which come close enough to Gaidora to zap and momentarily paralyze him.
Even Isami is questioning why the Legendisc he's tried twice to get keeps eluding him the way it has. Do the Legendiscs simply not wish to be gathered together?
This Benkei MusashibÅ guy is HUGE! I'm talking "Goliath"-sized human, here.
Though, he sure goes down pretty easily. Feh.
Because of a misunderstanding, Benkei mistakens Isami for the legendary savior he's been searching for to be his (Benkei's) master.
Though Isami brings up the possibility that he might not be the master that Benkei has been search for, Benkei is not affected, saying that he'll simply keep trying to find his master no matter what. Even if his makes mistakes, the moment that he gives up is when it is all over.
As expected, Benkei had the green Legendisc with him, and says that it is what originally granted him his enhanced physical strength.
The Predacons of the day are Gaidora and Judora.
And now the Jaki are flipped back to being called the "Dark Jaki Corps" (Yami no Jaki Gundan).
*sigh* Like in Samurai Volume episode 3, the Swordbots here repeat exactly what they said when they first introduced themselves back in episode 1. Just... why?
Who, hello! No Goradora this time. Instead, Gaidora himself steps up to the plate, tapping into the power that he received when Dragotron zapped him earlier, and absorbs all the Jaki into himself to grow giant sized. Nice!
Holy snap! Gaidora uses his toy's weapons and completely wipes the floor with the Swordbots to keep them from combining. Looks like the gloves come off in this episode.
Meanwhile, Judora takes the initiative to take the green Legendisc from Benkei.
This is a rare case where we actually get a mortal human trying to physically combat a Transformer, and keep on doing so persistently.
And then Isami finally steps up and out maneuvers Judora. Don't mess with humanity, Pred.
GoKenzan uses a new attack called "Zan Juushou", in which he fires laser blasts from his swords, while still using "Jankou Juuji" to finish off (but not kill) Gaidora. Though, he seemed to be fighting extra aggressively this time.
And we're back to the present, with the blow to Judora anfd the disc gone again. Of course.
Even Isami's getting sick of this routine, but after today, he's more determined to keep trying and not give up.
Oh neat. We get a bit in the past after the time travelers disappeared, showing Benkei forlorn over Isami's disappearance until a mysterious figure named "Ushiwakamaru" appears before him.
And we get a scene with the Predacons frustrated over their latest defeat.
Ah, so the underground Pred base was hidden specifically at the base of Mt. Fuji.
And now Dragotron is awake! At first, his deco is dead on toy-accurate with the Beast Fire Predaking figure, but then is powered up into his Guren deco.
Dragotron swears that, next time, they will kill the Swordbots and make this planet his.
To be continued...
Another typical, true to form episode, but with a little bit extra in those last two scenes. Looking forward to seeing what Dragotron is capable of.
Next time, Dragotron is on the loose, and here comes Optimus Exprime!
