Anyway, now that bulkhead MAY be out of the picture, how are the autobots going to function? I mean, now all they have is prime on the means of pure muscle. They need a brawny autobot brawler, and minus bulkhead, they'll be a bit short in that department...

Anyhoot, I hope they bring in magnus.

Armada game rocks. I want a Prime game with the same kind of gameplay!
I think the best thing they could do is handicap Bulkhead, where he's always at the base with Ratchet. Either way, I'm betting Wheeljack will just start to hang at the base, and there's not gonna be someone new too soon. If there is, bring on Ironhide!

Well, the next episode consists of Wheeljack and Miko seeking revenge, so we know they'll be partnered at least once. (If it goes the way I think it will, he'll slowly become attached to her once he sees how nutso she is.) I could see Sierra being the next human partner to one of them. I think we'll see a lot more of Wheeljack as the season, and show, goes on.
As for Ironhide, it was confirmed, last I heard, that he's toy only. He will not be making an appearance in the show. Neither will his repaint, Kup. Such a nice mold, it seems. What a waste to have it be toy only. I'm breaking my rule of buying cast only toys, because that mold ROCKS.

id like to see fowler(sp?) get a partner, maybe someone to replace all his wreaked aircraft.

I refer you to the above words in bold. Ratchet is not a "field-combatant" Autobot (he stays at the base, away from the battlefield--his few times going into the field were special occasion exceptions), nor is Wheeljack a "main character" Autobot (he's still a guest star).YRQRM0 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I want them to bring in a new Autobot who doesn't need a human partner. Ratchet and Wheeljack don't have partners, unless you consider Raf Ratchet's partner (when he's more Bumblebee's). Plus there's plenty of non-human action to make it acceptable.
Yet, almost every time someone brings up the idea of bringing in a new Autobot to join the team, people start thinking like, "I wonder who he should be partnered with?" or "Sierra could be his partner," or "Jack's mom could be his partner," or "Vince could be his partner," or "Fowler could be his partner", and so on and so forth. Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee getting human partners has set this mentality in the minds of many people, and past series have shown us that this human-Autobot partnership is completely unnecessary (especially if there's no gimmick involved like being Headmasters or whatnot).Shadowman wrote:That's a bit specific, don't you think? Because those are the conditions that make people think that they need human partners. Those who want Wheeljack upgraded to main character status keep bringing up someone like Sierra or Miko (should Bulkhead die) becoming his partner when he doesn't need one. Same goes for other characters people want to be brought into the show as main Autobot character.Shadowman wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Yet, almost every time someone brings up the idea of bringing in a new Autobot to join the team, people start thinking like, "I wonder who he should be partnered with?" or "Sierra could be his partner," or "Jack's mom could be his partner," or "Vince could be his partner," or "Fowler could be his partner", and so on and so forth. It's just, you're complaining about the cast having human partners, but the three that don't, don't count. It's a problem that only exists because of certain conditions you've set up. Optimus doesn't have a partner, but he doesn't count because he's Optimus, Ratchet doesn't count because he doesn't go on field missions (Except in "Darkness Rising Parts 1, 3, and 4," "Out of His Head," "Stronger, Faster," "Orion Pax Part 3," and "Triage", you don't see Soundwave out in the field that often), and Wheeljack doesn't count because he's not in enough episodes.

I've heard people talking about wanting human partners for Ratchet and Optimus, so your conditions are kind of a moot point. People will talk about what they want in a TV show. It doesn't mean it's going to happen.
