Starscream takes M.E.C.H out to the area were Skyquake is, opens up the dimension he's in somehow. They then proceed to bring him down. Removal of dark energon plus M.E.C.H's Cybertronian drone plus salvaged Skyquake parts plus Starscream's know how and "ambition" equals a new Decepticon, totally obedient to Starscream, who now has his own second in command seeker, Dreadwing? The episode could end with him awakening, and saying his 'Autobots will pay" one liner. Of course then theres the transformation cog. wait, Skyquake parts!

A stretch, but a fun theory none the less!
I considered this myself, but there are some holes in this idea. Namely that Starscream doesn't know about the Shadowzone or Terrorcon Skyquake being in there.

Well, let's talk about this:

-Ratchet wants to donate his transformation cog to Bumblebee. Optimus doesn't like it but Ratchet convinces him anyway.

-When Fowler calls, Ratchet mentions Fuzors, and mentions someone else, though I didn't catch a name.

-Did anyone else see Knockout's new shield and think of Brutes from WfC?

-Optimus name-drops Solus Prime, while Breakdown is digging out her hammer. When Megatron tries to use it, Knockout name-drops Fortress Maximus, and the Nucleon Shock Cannon from WfC. A lot of references in this episode.

-'Bee gets his t-cog back, but not his voice. Starscream, meanwhile, loses his to MECH.

-Dreadwing doesn't appear at all. Remind me again why anyone thought he would? I never believed he would.

Episode 31 -

Even though this is supposed to be centered on Bumblebee, Ratchet is stealing the shining role in this. I mean, his characterization is brilliant in this!

*Upon bringing Megatron the newly retrieved artifact*
Megatron: "Ah, excellent work, Knock Out."
Knock Out: "I live to serve, Lord Megatron. But, what exactly is it?"
Megatron: "..."
*Megatron shoots at Knock Out ,and an energy shield forms to protect him*
Megatron: "Now you know." (And knowing is half the battle! G. I. Jooooooe! :P )
Knock Out: "I... think I leaked a little transmission fluid." :P

Having left Megatron, Starscream now tries to sweet talk Silas, who, like Megatron, is not amused. Guess old habits die hard, eh Screamer?

Ratchet (talking in his sleep/stasis): "What?! Do I hear a Fuzor in need of voice-box repair?!" - note that he mispronouced fuzor as "Foo-zor" instead of "Fyoo-zor", but Fowler got it right.

Ratchet: (still groggy): "I am able! Just ask Bantor! He was all mandrill before I put a tiger in his tank!" - Two Beast Wars gags! I love it! Even though it make no sense since Bantor wasn't in the Beast Wars cartoon.

THE FORGE OF SOLUS PRIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could it be... the MAGNUS HAMMER?!!! But wait... her forge.... wasn't it a place, not an item? I'm pretty sure her forge was a place. It was located in an asteroid. So, this makes no sense. :?

MECH's schematics for their robot look like a crude wireframe image of Optimus, with many armor pieces missing. I guess they're basing it off his design since they got a good look at him back in episode 9.

Why doesn't Silas just grab the T-Cog and take it with him instead of leaving it to Starscream to carry away having to trust him to both show up at the rendezvous point and show up with it?

 Don't mess with Silas.

That was very dumb of Breakdown to leave the hammer unguarded like that, allowing Bulkhead to go pick it up.

Poor Starscream. The guy just can't catch a break. Or make friends (or at least allies) with anybody.

"Fortress-Maximus Grade Nucleon Shock Cannon"? What, is Fort Max not a character in this show?

This was actually a pretty great episode. Probably the best of season 2 so far. I want to see more episodes of this good effort. :D

Next week... WHEELJACK AND DREADWING!!!! Image Image Image

Or she just worked out of an asteroid, and the Forge was the hammer. Like, "The Galaxy" in Men in Black was a tiny Sub-atomic generator.

But then I haven't real Exiles or Exodus yet, so you are probably right.

Still pissed the Decepticons never win anything. They got the hammer, but what good will it do them? It will just end up in the hands of Optimus later in the series anyway. That's why I liked Animated, the Decepticons actually posed a threat and managed to beat the Autobots in a few episodes. But here on TF Prime, they lose in every episode. It's old. Really freaking old to the point where I don't even feel like watching the show anymore.

GO READ THEM! :MR-T: Despite how well (or not well) they are written, they are the most thoroughly informative sources of this continuity, drawing out more inside info from the Binder of Revelation than anything else does.

Though, the new Transformers: Online game seems to be doing so as well, drawing form the Binder, the novels, and the Prime cartoon all at once. 8)

They won last episode. And in the early episodes of previous multi-parters. Of course they're not going to win in the last part of the multi-part episodes. Same thing happened with Animated:
  • Transform and Roll Out - Starscream lost to Optimus
  • Megatron Rising - All Cons beaten, Starsceam temporarily killed
  • A Bridge Too Close - Space Bridge destroyed, Cons beaten, Megs and Screamer lost in space
  • TransWarped - Team Chaar retreated, Megs/Screamer stuck warping randomly through space, Skywarp and Thudercracker lost in space
  • Human Error - Ratbat killed, Soundwave defeated, Laserbeak/Soundwave retreated
  • Endgame - Starscream killed for good, Supreme clones destroyed, Cons all arrested

In this episode it was really a push. Three Iacon relics. Shield was destroyed. Autobots got the Extractor but would never use it, Decepticons got the Forge but can't use it.

The thing is, in Prime, the Decepticons are winning in general, their grand schemes just rarely come to fruition. The Cons have far greater resources, technology and numbers while the Bots are just barely have enough Energon to get by. If the Cons ever won a major victory, it would probably be all over. Hell, if the Autobots don't make some major strides they are probably screwed in the long run.

You know why that is? Because watching the villains win isn't nearly as fun as watching the heroes overcome them. It's why the Decepticons always lose, Cobra is always defeated, and the Joker is sent back to Arkham. Because the whole point is to have the heroes win in the end.

Yeah, Sly. Would you still be rooting for them if this were real life, with them trying to kill/enslave all of humanity (including you) and such?

Terrific episode! This really had me on edge, I had no clue what was gonna happen.

I loved the part where Megatron arrived on the scene and took the hammer. Really dark episode. I was hoping the Autobots would get the hammer and somehow fix BB's T-Cog and voice.

I was hoping Starscream would try to join the Autobots when he saw them arrive, what can he possibly turn to now? He's betrayed everyone...maybe he'll go expose himself to the humans for sake of nothing better to do? Or the humans becoming aware of Megatron (like they could do anything). Can't wait to see what happens the rest of this season...

Well, considering MECH already has weapons capable of taking down Transformers, the humans probably could put up a fight.

Yeah Starscream seems to be up the subspace without a bridge. I am very interested in seeing how they take that plot line. I seem to be fascinated with a born flier not having flight.

So far, this is the best transformers series since the original G1 (which I saw as a kid) This series has Autobot characters I can feel for and actually enjoy. Autobot characters in the past felt shallow and had little to no background. I got the torrent of the latest. I just can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can have a copy <3

Now Starscream is an Action Master. I am imagining that Screamer will get his T-cog back and rejoin the Decepticons soon. I mean he is pretty much screwed no matter what he does, but the best thing about this Screamer is that he is a survivor. I mean there is a future episode where he and Airacnid are fighting over something. I just thought he got what he deserved in a bitter sense of irony... still I like Transformers to transform... DOWN WITH THE ACTION MASTERS.

Nice to see another Starscream fan around these parts. When I was but a wee lad, I got G2 Starscream and he has always been my favorite Decepticon.

I really feel sorry for Starscream, nothing works for his favor. But at the same time, I can't help but laugh at his misery. I'm a terrible person. It seems like he's not going to show up in "Loose Cannons", but "Crossfire" should be fun episode if he hasn't got his T-Cog back. :D

Absolutely loved the reference! To pick a character like Bantor, so out of left field!

"Fortress-Maximus Grade Nucleon Shock Cannon"? What, is Fort Max not a character in this show?

I look at it more as a weapon that Fort Max has used, but given his size could only be wielded by him. So Megatron was trying to make it a size that he could wield.

Why does he need to be in the cartoon for this to make sense?

But the US government is apparently aware of the Transformers already (Agent Fowler), yet you never see them attacking Decepticons except when attacked first. Now that I think of it, it's kind of dumb that MECH is that strong, and that with the Autobots to study, the US forces haven't come up with any kind of real defense.

I am actually quite interested in how that prototype manmade transformer is going to be in the later plot.
It seemed already been activated when Bumblebee attacked MECH base. Thinking that it might take a crucial role in Nemesis Prime episode.

Yeah, exactly why I said the humans couldn't do anything. But in the scenes where humans DO fight the cons, they seem really useless. Maybe just because they weren't prepared, but you'd think they'd have some defense on hand besides relying on the Autobots.

Whoops, I misread. Thought you were complaining about the lack of offense on the part of us humans.
