That 'Second in Command' -part puzzles me, and I wonder if it has an effect in Crossfire. In an episode synopsis I found, it said that Airachnid and Starscream fight to control an Insecticon; the Decepticons lose more soldiers, and especially the last part is interesting. How do they lose more soldiers? Does someone die, does Airachnid leave because of Dreadwing stealing her Second in Command status or is it just there to troll us and it's just Vehicons dying like usual? I'm actually pretty scared for what's to come.

Oh well, maybe I should first watch tonight's episode before jumping into assumptions.

Well, Airachnid hasn't officially been promoted to take Starscream's job. it's obvious she wants it, trying to get in Megatron's good favor and all, but as of late, she hasn't been seen as being all that worthy for the job by Megs, what with leaving Starscream behind and trying to overthrow him when he was away.

In an episode synopsis I found, it said that Airachnid and Starscream fight to control an Insecticon; the Decepticons lose more soldiers, and especially the last part is interesting.

I'm guessing airachnid doesn't like the idea of Dreadwing coming in and taking the sub commander position, and so tries to get control over the Insecticon to prove her worth over Dreadwing. And a for Starscream, he probably wants the Insecticon so he can have an ally/minion of his own to support him. And so the two just want the same thing at the same time.

How do they lose more soldiers? Does someone die, does Airachnid leave because of Dreadwing stealing her Second in Command status or is it just there to troll us and it's just Vehicons dying like usual? I'm actually pretty scared for what's to come.

I'm guessing (and hoping) that's just a large sum of Vehicons getting axed. And maybe it's because the Cons lose a lot of them that Airachnid chooses to get the Insecticon to not only bolster their ranks but also make her look good by having her be the one to bring it in.

How fitting would it be if the insecticon was hers to start with? Then when she awakens it, it goes out of control? IDK, its possible with all that crap she had in her ship. But I doubt it. They probably found the thing in a cave on earth, or buried like everything else. I like Shadowman's theory as to why all this Cybertronian stuff keeps falling to earth.

I'm thinking it's more likely the bug bot will come through the space bridge from Cybertron, either deliberately on the part of the Cons or by accident.
As for why all that stuff ended up on Earth, it seems to me that other than the original Bot of Con to make planetfall there really wasn't that much of a coincidence. They needed a place to stash energon and the really dangerous weapons and the artifacts. Earth fit the bill with a) enough landmass to be useful. b)an atmosphere similar enough to Cybertrons that the metals wouldn't immediately corrode away. c)it was far enough away from Cybertron that the Con's wouldn't find it right away.

Basically, planets with high amounts of naturally-occurring Energon (Like Earth) were chosen to act as "Safety Deposit Planets" in case of emergencies, to store critical artifacts and weapons. It's why the Iacon Archives had a great big map detailing where a good number of artifacts were. (Like Solus Prime's hammer, an artifact of the Original 13)

Also the atmosphere couldn't have been taken into account, it's already been shown that Cybertron and Earth do not have similar atmospheres.

Yup, I was just reiterating/expanding on this/\ because several commentators seemed to be getting curious about all the 'coincidences' in the story. Sorry I didn't quote you directly . I wanted to just quote where you went over this before (I am veeryyy lazy when it comes to typing believe me)but couldn't find it.
But by similar I meant your basic mix of transparent non-metal eating gasses. ie Earth and Cybertron have "similar" atmosphere compared to say Jupiter or Venus. Don't want to drop anything important on a rock if giant storms or corrosives make it impossible to retrieve.

Except that doesn't make for a similar atmosphere. Mars doesn't have a corrosive atmosphere, but it's very dissimilar to Earth's. Likewise, Earth's atmosphere is rich in oxygen and water, which causes rust.

Now, let's talk about that episode:

-Dreadwing is immediately mistaken for Skyquake, which makes a lot of sense. For some reason, every time I see him, I can't help but think of Beast Wars.

-Dreadwing has a shared Spark with Skyquake, a lot like Dinobot and Rampage. Oh, maybe that's why...

-Wheeljack doesn't like Optimus, and doesn't recognize him as leader. Which is weird, because as a Prime, that makes Optimus the boss of everyone who isn't a Decepticon.

-Optimus riding shotgun on the Jackhammer: Freaking hilarious.

-Megatron: "In memory of your fallen twin, I will allow it. Just this once." *Turns to Soundwave* "I would be surprised if we ever laid eyes on Dreadwing again." Megatron continues to show off his very dark, dry humor.

-Megatron grins slightly when Dreadwing professes his allegiance to Megatron. I suppose he enjoys hearing that, considering the rest of the company he keeps, I can't image he hears it much. It is kind of funny, though, when you consider Megatron's relationship with Tony Todd's other character...

-Well, the 'cons have a new member, and the 'bots may or may not be keeping Wheeljack; they finally convinced him to stay on Earth, but I don't know if they managed to convince him to stay at the base.

Episode 32 -

First in show mention of the term "Terrorcon" to refer to a Dark Energon zombie! And first acknowledgement of Skyquake being one (but do they know about him being in the Shadowzone? Maybe, if the kids told them, but nothing's been said).

Aw, Wheeljack's got an arm cannon that his toy doesn't have. That's no fun.

Dude! Fowler still pilots a jet without a flight suit. Dude is still hardcore!

So that's probably what Optimus won't approve of. Wheeljack's undisciplined, rebellious nature and disregard of others' safety. The guy really is a loose cannon.

Seaspray was a Wrecker and another old friend of Bulkhead's. And yes, Wheeljack says perfect straight that he was "blown to bits."

The place or planet that Wheeljack was gonna meet Seaspray near was called "Madeira".

Optimus says Dreadwing was both a captain of a Seeker armada and Skyquake's twin. Not sure if he meant figuratively (in that they just share the same body-type) or literally (in that they're actual brothers).

I just noticed something. Doesn't the Dreadwing/Skyquake body-type kind resemble a Prime version of Movie Starscream's body? (With a new head, of course.) I mean, the cockpit chest, the wide torso, the jet altmode type, the wings hanging off the the back in the odd way (i.e. - not pointed up like the G1 Seekers) the broad shoulder width, the bulked up physique... it all reminds me of Movie Starscream (with some modifications made to fit the Prime art style, of course).

Okay, Dreadwing pretty much describes both him and Skquake as being literal twin brothers who share a sensational connection, yet he refers to Skyquake as one whom he only "considered" a brother, rather than just saying that he was his brother.

He also swears by the Pit.

Jackie lists off the names of other deceased Wreckers: Roadbuster, Pyro, Impactor, Rotorstorm, and Seaspray.

Did Bulky and Jackie really both fit inside the Jackhammer together?

LOL. Well, if Optimus squeezed in there, I guess Bulkhead did too.

Hey, G1 fans, look! Wheeljack's being all mechanic and tech-savvy trying to defuse the bomb on Bulkhead. You can all calm down now.

Wheeljack mentions Sandokan (which the closed captions misspell as "Sandakan").

Bulkhead apparently does no know of Wheeljack being the Wreckers' mechanic, as he has no faith in Jackie being able to defuse the bomb.

Huh, even Wheeljack admits that he can't defuse the bomb. I guess this device was simply that complicated to disarm.

...Or maybe it was just one of those "so simple that it just looked unfixable" bombs. Really, this sure does some serious injustice to Wheeljhack's technical know-how. He is a mechanic in this continuity, so maybe he's just lost his edge over the past several eons. Though, he did have it narrowed down to the right one and two others, so many it was just the pressure of the battle weighing him down.

And with this episode, Dreadwing makes another compelling Decepticon like Starscream and Airachnid.

Next week... no preview. Bummer.

For some reason, every time I see him, I can't help but think of Beast Wars.

I love the dreadwing/skyquake model and I swear if the toy dosnt have those big ass blasters I'm going to scream.
