He said it in TF1 too.
And in the WFC video game (twice!). And in the ROTF console video game. And in issue 12 of the Titan Transformers comic. And the first half of it was used in episode 50 of TF: Cybertron.

So, yeah, this line gets around.

Eh, it's a classic. Sure, it sounded a bit forced, but it still made my heart smile.
Besides, isn't that what Transfans want? More G1?

I am completely in awe over this mini-series! I thought it was a wild ride and I'm excited to see the regular series. My jaw's been of the floor since it's started! I'm normally not a fan of having a lot of humans running around underfoot, but I don't mind the kids - even Miko, who I do find spunky, outlandish, obnoxious but it seems to works for her. I like the dynamic between Jack and Arcee (who is just freakin' badass!)- they've got some good chemistry going. Raf, he's the essential kid/computer-nerd/hacker-genious! So, how long have the Autobots been on Earth, how did they get there, where's everyone else? What happened? How did the U.S. Government get involved? I love backstories!

This was a really good story, and I'm really looking forward to what's in store for us next. It's not perfect, but it blows just about everything else away (ok, so maybe I'm not a very good authority on that since I haven't followed a series since G1. So?). Remember the anticipation for the next LSOTW issue? Yeah, it's like that for me. I am praying this level of momentum is maintained - because if it does, this will be epic!

All in all, I like the characters - Bumblebee and Soundwave both need a voice - though Soundwave looks awesome, and a little personality is peekin' through too! I was disappointed with Cliffjumper's demise - I'll admit it because I love The Rock. I think the catch-phrases are fine - it's all a part of Transformers lore. Megatron dead? Highly unlikely! He's just gonna come back meaner...and he was already just deliciously evil! I liked the score - does anyone know if it was composed by the same guy who did Star Trek? It's dark and that's what we've all been saying we wanted - and this turned out great!

I've just seen ep. 5: God damn, Rumpelstiltskin is getting really annoying (hell, he is more annoying than the japanese humans, including Kicker). When the humans arrived in the autobots base, and Prime wanted to go the space, I hoped they'd go with them to breath vacuum.
[/rant]

[serious]There are a lot of close-minded turns in the show: in ep. 4, when Prime crawls on the rock to Megatron, what is keeping Megatron to blow or cut Primes head down? Why did Megatron want to get his army through the space bridge, when HE could have gone through the bridge, and conquer the whole universe? What is keeping a machine planet from getting alive like the lab accesory in the autobot base did? (Another twist I hoped for is that a giant hand would suddenly appear from the bridge - it would have been awesome)
Ep.4: When the autobots easily trampled through a whole ship of Decepticon drones and Starscream, why didn't they disable, or even better, steal the ship?

My rating: 6/10 - the writing is too close-minded, but I like some of the designs (especially Megatron, I'm hoping he'll get a figure)

What is Soundwave's interest in Arcee? I've been wondering about that every since we first saw him interact with Starscream.

Anyone else notice Soundwave took a picture of the kids in response to Miko taking his? I'm definitely seeing a hint of what could be a very frightening personality.

To me the music had that majestic/epic movie vibe to it from the movie-verse and they like re-mastered it for Prime.

I say in Prime we will get alot of back stories as they done with Animated so expect similar in Prime. How they got to Earth, how they meet Fowler, and how they got the Missle Silo will all be explained in a flash-back episode.

This is an awesome series the humans are quite enjoyable and not god-awful like Kicker or Mishca were in Energon.

Prime is going to be sweet lets all hope it continue in this direction but we can expect some episodes to tank.

Note: This is the 1st series in Transformers not to have a opening sequenece before the start of the show it dosent have one like previous shows such as Cybertron and Animated had.

I dont see it being fixed in Prime's return in Feb probably just be like it was before with the credits and then jumps into the action.

Overall I am excited for Prime.

Saw episode 5 first thing this morning, and the first thing I must say is this. Sounwave.Kicks.MAJORASSAGE! He is like the only Decepticon to kill a human! (That dead army guy on the floor, unless I was just seeing things.) Then, after Miko takes a picture of him, he looks back and takes a picture of them, like "Got yo' bitch ass!" then flies away! That was THE single most epic thing in Transformers history. Thats the kind of TF I'd be if I was a TF, quiet, but with a subtle sense of humor. GO SOUNDVEVE!

The fight scenes are almost as awesome as the ones in the movie, I love the zombi idea, even though it's a ripoff of one of my ideas, but still.

Even with all this epic awesomness going on, I still don't like it better than Animated. I know what you're thinking "This kid is freaking stupid, how could you say that!?" Well, I don't know. There was just somthing about Animated that makes me like it more. Like the art style, the characters, the diversity. I mean, it was the first TF show to show Optimus not as the leader, but someone who rises to the rank of leader. Its boring seeing the same Optimus doing the same crap in every series. They freaking changed it up! And had original ideas that suprised us throuought the whole series: Longarm, Sari being a robot, Wazp becoming Wazpinator, Blurr, Ultra Magnus, Starscream, and Prowl's deaths, and it only had one human. And she actually helped! In Prime, there are 3 and the only one who does anything is Raff. Jak doesn't do ****. He's just there. Miko is annoying as hell and will be the one to get all the Autobots and the entire human race killed. But Sari in Animated kicked ass, she is the only "human" to ever hold her own against a Cybertronian, and thats what I liked better with Animated.

Yes. Yes, yes, yes.
(I can kinda picture him on the Decepticon ship, using Megatron voice clips to scare the slag out of Starscream. )

"Almost"? I think they may be even better, considering that we can actually see what's going on. In the movie, things tended to be too shaky to actually tell what was going on.

Well, Miko did attack Soundwave with an axe. She won some points with me for that one. :)

I loved Animated too, but I think it's hard to really compare it to Prime. They're so completely different in every way. The animation is different, the tone is different, the story is different, and even the characters are different, at least in the way they're portrayed. Animated was a fun action comedy, while Prime is more of a dark action adventure.

You know, it's a pretty decent show, it's such a shame it has the stink of those two hacks attached to it. You can see their unoriginality and lack of creativity creeping in.

OK guys. I'm sorry if I am reiterating anything here bt i haven't been checking out the forums for a while I i didn't have time to read all five pages of this thread but here is my 2 cents on the Prime series in general.

I think this is easily the best series to come out since G1. beast wars was good but prime just rocks. RID, Armada and Animated were eared for 6 year olds and i couldn't watch them as an adult. FINALLY a series I am thoroughly enjoying. Good plot. they aren't afraid to blow each other away and beat the crap out of each other. I do wish they would have found a voice over that made starscream sound a little more like G1. I wish Soundwave would talk more often and hope he has his vintage voice. but love that Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are voices here.

The only complaint I have is the same as the Live action movie. it bugs me to no end that Bumblebee can't talk.

I hope once the series gets back on track in Feb that they find a way to bring cliffjumper back and hope Dwayne Johnson continues the voice. i found him a fascinating character for what little bit we got to enjoy him.

I disagree that Beast wars owns this series. Beast wars was good but i think once Prime really gets rolling it will be the best series since G1 and dare i say it, with it's dark undertones may eventually be better than G1.

Beast Wars was already better than G1, so if Prime is better than Beast Wars, it already is better than G1.

I think what we've seen of the show is pretty decent, but somehow I can't shake the feeling that the shows tone will change after once the main series starts.

Yes! Beast Wars is on DVD and here's a link to Season 1 at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Beast-Wars-Transf ... 960&sr=1-1

I LOVE Beast Wars and own the series on DVD. TF: Prime seems to be the cure for the CGI itch for me now. Drakness Rising is a great storyline and I hope that the rest of Season 1 is just as good if not better. I'm not really concerned with the fact that this series has left questions unanswered. The 3 year absence of the Decepticons would make for a great mini-series (like what they were doing during that time). I can't wait for the return of Megatron, and maybe seeing Unicron too.

If Prime continues this way it will be the best series ever made the series is just epic both in look and in story with awesome action and characters that draw you into that world.

I am a G1 original and I am actually liking Prime more than G1 cause of the dark overtone of the series and everthing makes G1 look like a kitty cat in comparison but I respect what G1 has done and how it brought joy to my child-hood.

I see lots of flash-back episode for Prime one showing us the 3 year disappearance of the cons. and another explaining the back story of how the got with Fowler and how they got the Missle Silo I dont think the makers of Prime will leave this story plot a missing gap for to long as I see these as multi-part story lines.

I also see more new characters being introduced in Prime as Optimus clearly stated that some are in hiding in the Galaxy and send a message for them to join them on Earth it is a clear indication that more will join them.

Just sucks we have to wait until Feb 11 but I guess I can watch V and play me some good games until then I waited this long just to watch Prime so another month or so is nothing.

im sorry i have to totally disagree that beast wars owns this series and beast wars deffantely didnt own G1. But i will say TFprime is better then deff BW and i will go as far as to say better then G1 as a fan of G1. But what is sad is there is few from work said they didnt like it it was more so so that they didnt like the zombie part, i have to disagree with them this mini series was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, don't have the game. I did read Exodus, but not convinced that these three are supposed to be tied together.
It's a forced continuity, like how Cybertron/Galaxy Force was forced in with Armada/Micron Densetsu and Energon/Super Link.

Stormer wrote:Ok, stop rolling your eyes at me! I'd love to see Beast Wars...is it on DVD?
Beast Wars had a total of 3 seasons, which were put on three DVD sets in 2003-2004 (which are all currently out of print).

It's too early to declare TF: Prime as being better than Beast Wars. Beast Wars has had 52 episodes and 10+ years of legacy to live off of. TF: Prime has only had five episodes on a channel that's still not that well known to people (half the TF fans I talk to in person have never heard of TF: Prime or even the Hub), and those five episodes weren't even the main story; just an introductory mini-series.

Dead Metal wrote:Beast Wars was already better than G1, so if Prime is better than Beast Wars, it already is better than G1.
Truth!

Though, I've a pretty suspicious feeling that Prime will definitely be better than G1 (topping Beast Wars and Animated will be a challenge, though).

I see that too. Most of the lines are from G1 or the movies, Bumblebee can't talk, the characters are just Animated, but with Prowl replaced with Arcee, the zombies have to have their limbs cut or blown off. the space bridge acts just like the space bridges in Animated, the ground bridge works just like the ground bridges in Armada, and when they bring in someone who is an original version of themselves, he gets killed off in the first episode.
