I don't think they're trying to get away from the kids. Don't expect them to leave either, Tania and Josh said they're reading in Season 3.

Interestingly, the one human we HAVEN'T seen since the season premiere is June.

Season finale anyone? :D

We know #25's title now. It's likely the "Omega Keys/Lock" mentioned in previous episodes will play, pardon the expression, a key role. Question is, will the items in question be related to Omega Supreme, as they were in WfC, lead into the new "Beast Hunters" season, or relate to something else entirely?

Then again, what kind of choice does he have? He'll probably just intervein in the shadows.

Depends on what Starscream and/or Megatron are planning as well. It could be that Dreadwing ruins Megatron's opportunity to get rid of his former second in command, since, unless Starscream is bringing something BIG to the table, I can't see how Megatron wouldn't execute him at the first opportunity.

Then again, it could be possible that Megatron is secretly testing either Starscream or Dreadwing... or both.

I think it will focus more on the Star Seekers, Dinobots, and Insecticons. They're all beasts (and hopefully we'll get toys of them in the BH toyline). ;)
[/quote]
Not sure the Star Seekers would be coming to the series, as most people who haven't read the books or follow the wikis/forums would be familiar with them. True, people who didn't play WfC or read the novels would be familair with Dark Energon either, but the Star Seekers are even more obscure for some.

The Dinobots are a possibility. I'd also love to see the original Predacons make an appearance, for once.

Motto: "When did I get this tattoo?"

Alpha; Omega

I'm ready for serious contradictions.

*Alpha Trion sent Optimus a message through the Star Saber from acorss the ages

*Alpha Trion transported these relics to Earth not so much to keep them from Megatron, but to make sure they reach Optimus'

And all this time I thought it was Unicron's magnetic force. :-?

Alpha Trion looks cool, if he wasn't so inanimate.

*The Covenant of Primus records events of the future as well as the past.

*The Covenant foretold Optimus would travel to Earth and engage in an important chapter in the war against the Decepticons

I'm learning! Yay! :-B

4 keys? Aw sh**. -_-

*The Decepticons built another space bridge near the dark side of the moon, hidden from the Autobots and humans

Smart.

*The Omega Keys apparently can revive Cybertron

:-x You're pissing me off right now, Optimus.

*Megatron and Dreadwing used the space bridge to fly to Cybertron. They enter a tomb and remove the arm of one of the Primes.

Muahahahahhahaa. Now which Prime is it?

*Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee are having second thoughts about going back to Cybertron because of the humans.

"We could always 'text' them"

*Ratchet is working on a new, convenient way to weild the Star Saber...most likely installation

*Knock Out attaches the arm of a Prime so that Megatron can weild the Forge of Solus Prime

And what Prime is it!?!??!?!

*The first key is located in Egypt. Arcee & Smokescreen are dispatched to investigate

*The Forge of Solus Prime has the ability to create anything from raw material

Awwwwwww this is gonna be epic.

*The humans thought this Omega Key was a gift from the gods, and as such stored it in a tomb.

*Megatron used the Forge of Solus Prime to turn Dark Energon into a "Dark Saber."

EPPIIIIIICCCCC!!!!!!

*Upon impact of the "Dark Saber," Smokescreen 'disappeared' in dust.

I hate you, Arcee. You get rid of all my fav guyz. But Smokescreen isn't dead. He get's trapped and does important stuff in a few episodes. ;)

Dark Star Saber? How about just Dark Saber. Sounds better.

*Megatron and Optimus engage in a "Star Saber War" for the Omega Key

This is better than their battle in One Shall Fall!

"You are a prisoner of your own twisted delusions." Best, Episode, Ever. Mind the contradictions continuity-wise.

*Megatron shattered Optimus' Star Saber with the Dark Saber

*Smokescreen survives Megatron's attacks because he has the Phase Shifter wielded. He also possesses the Omega Key.

**** yes!

*Ratchet allowed Smokescreen to keep the Phase Shifter, and now it's his "singature weapon."

If Smokescreen gets his own mold in the U.S, this better be molded on, or an accessory. :D

EPIC EPISODE! EPIC EPISODE! EPIC EPISODE IS EPIC!

The Omega Keys are very confusing, but I'll put up with it.

Weapon: Automatic Machine Gun
That was an amazing episode!!
Looks like the Omega Keys are gonna revive Cybertron.
Everyone seems so excited. (At first)
Looks like they're gonna miss everyone.
When Megatron got the arm it never told us which Prime it was.
Also, Arcees keeping an eye on Smokescreen, still mad about the Jack incident I take it.
Lol for Smokescreen when he heard she already lost 2 partners.
I was gonna go nuts if Smokescreen actually died.
The Optimus vs Megatron fight was awesome
I can't believe Megatron broke the StarSaber
But then at the right time Smokescren comes in
:D
He also used the Phase Shifter again, looks like he's keeping that one
Poor Optimus, he lost his sword
To sum it up awesome episode!!

Well, there are a lot of elements in Prime that are explained in the novels and games (contradicting or not). They'll just re-explain the Star Seekers here. I don't see a problem in doing that.

The Predacons? Mmmmhhmhmhmhm. Predaking.

The Decepticons now have the edge here. Also, Megatron did frankenstein the arm on, and without anesthetic, basically. I don't like how the fingers on that arm are blocky and megatron's usual fingers are claws, very obvious in that up close shot. A minor gripe.

But hey, at least now the Star Saber is the same size as the retail release.

Did you think they were going to replace the Prime's hand with Megatron's? It's an arm transplant, it comes with the hand built-in.

As for who the Prime is...I dunno. The red-and-gold color scheme reminds me of Rodimus, but he wasn't a Prime in this continuity.

I havent a clue who the arm belongs to. What I do want to know is how it will factor into transformation.

Weapon: Saber Blade
Episode 47 -

Flashback, despite last episode not having a "To Be Continued..." ending.

Alpha Trion speaks! In a recorded message in the Star Saber. And, man, does he look like a geezer.

Alpha Trion knew ahead of time from the Covenant of Primus that Optimus Prime would reach Earth at some point in the future, and so transported the Iacon relics to that planet to ensure that they would fall into Prime's possession.

The Omega Keys were the last four relics launched from Cybertron by Alpha Trion. They are the keys to the regeneration of Cybertron.

After the events of the "Orion Pax" three-parter, Megatron had the space bridge relocated behind the Earth's Moon to hide it from the Autobots.

Optimus is unfamiliar with the lore of the Omega Keys.

Dreadwing curses the Autobots "to the Pit" for the devastation of Cybertron. Megatron, meanwhile, speaks nothing of his words (probably trying to keep quiet about it having really been his fault for destroying Cybertron). I guess this also means Dreadwing wasn't on the planet during the latter part of the war for Cybertron and its fall.

Ratchet's the only one who isn't hesitant of going back to Cybertron and leaving Earth. Some things never change, I guess.

Megatron's new arm is like a dark reddish pink, with a yellow stripe and red highlights.

Megatron is using the Forge on a big hunk of Dark Energon to make his new sword.

Prime's decoded the next Iacon relic location. It;'s in Egypt, within an underground tomb.

Smokescreen: "The ancient humans must have thought the Omega Key was a gift from the gods." - Just a bit of trivia, but I think this is the first English-language Transformers cartoon since G1 to have been allowed to speak the word "god". Comics and movies were allowed, but not the cartoons (The Unicron Trilogy in particular could have benefited from it). ;)

Smokescreen! NO!!!!

Arce: "...And then Smokescreen was just... gone. Like he turned to dust." -

Prime... avenge Smokescreen. I don't care how I felt about you before. Go all "GIVE ME YOUR FACE" on that spawn of a glitch Decepticon dastard!

"Dark Star Saber"... Never would have guessed that, and while it doesn't sound all that clever, I wholeheartedly approve of the name becuase it's NEW and ORIGINAL! No other sword in TF lore bears that name, and it serves as the perfect slander towards the real Star Saber. :D

Another usage of the forbidden G-word. Local broadcasting BSnP be darned! :P

 The Dark Star Saber... just shattered the real one.

SMOKESCREEN!!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!! HALLELUJAH!!!

AND he brought the Phase Shifter. I LOVE THIS GUY!!!

GO! GO! Get to da GroundBridge!

Rewinding back through the episode, Smokescreen did indeed have the Phase Shifter on his arm upon exiting the GroundBridge into Egypt, so it isn't a butt pull. :D

Ratchet lets Smokescreen keep the Phase Shifter as his signature weapon. Bet that won't come to bite him in the back in a classic "overconfident rookie" episode that could possibly come later. ;)

Looking closely at the hilt of the (now-broken) Star Saber, there is absolutely no place for the Matrix of Leadership to have been set into the sword's hilt as it was both said to be and actually shown in other Aligned material. :|

They never did say from which Prime Megatron stole the arm of.

Alpha Trion was voiced by... GEORGE TAKEI!!!!!!!!!! First Animated Yoketron, now Prime Alpha Trion!

Loved the beginning with Alpha Trion, loved the cleverness with Smokescreen, loved the "no holds back" power battle between the two swords, liked Arcee's feelings about possibly losing another teammate with Smokescreen... what can I say, this episode had a lot of high points. Only things I can say against it are mostly nitpicks about Megatron grave-robbing a Prime's arm. How we're never told who's arm it is, or how it lets him use the Forge despite the deceased Prime no longer being a Prime after having been, you know, deceased. And how the Star Saber was almost completely wasted by being destroyed just one episode after its introduction. And the Omega Keys being a blatant rip off of the Cyber Planet Keys feels REALLY unoriginal and cheap, as there's nothing new about them aside form their name. They will most likely serve the exact same function they did in TF: Cybertron (bringing "life" back to Cybertron), right down to having their Omega Lock, and that saddens me greatly. Cybertron did it alright. We don't need this show to copy something that's already decent as it is without little to no change other than a new name. Not to metnion their apparent lack of any relation to Omega Supreme, who WAS the "Omega Key" back during the war. But other than that, this episode was good. Very good.

Next week, Smokescreen begins to compete for the next Omega Key, while Knock Out seems to go after it himself while wielding the Resonance Blaster.

Alpha/Omega was kind of a sad episode for me. Sad, yet hopeful at the same time. Arcee's desire for an oil bath made me smile, though

Honestly, I am not really looking forward to TFP ending. I am having WAY too much fun with it.

I really liked this episode and Smokescreen continues to impress me, I love how well North is voicing him. And call me crazy, but I don't think we've seen the last of the Star Saber.

He also calls it "Slayer of Primes," which may just be putting the cart before the horse in Megatron's case. He hasn't slain a Prime with it just yet. Then again, he is rather arrogant. After all, he's laughing triumphantly when Optimus leaves, despite the fact that 1) Optimus may have lost the Star Saber, but he did achieve his objective, and 2)Megatron still has no idea what just got taken.

Sabrblade wrote:They never did say from which Prime Megatron stole the arm of.

Probably don't need to. It was probably enough to show that Megatron (and even someone as "noble" as Dreadwing) would be willing to descrate a sacred site just to obtain an advantage in a fight.

Sabrblade wrote:And how the Star Saber was almost completely wasted by being destroyed just one episode after its introduction.

Yeah, it's a shame. Would have preferred to see some more Star Saber/Dark Star Saber action; may still see it. Besides, as Ratchet said, and as hinted in the duel between the two leaders, Optimus doesn't need to rely on the Dark Saber to be an effective warrior. We'll see how the fights pan out when the two clash again.

In "One Shall Rise", Megatron does recognize that it was his own doing that brought Cybertron to its ruin state, which is why, when he vows to conquer Earth after their dealing with Unicron is done, he's going to do so more carefully so that he actually has a living planet to rule over.

George Takei! Wish Alpha Trion's face was actually animated, though...

Hunt for the Omega Keys to revive Cybertron -- finally the show has a sense of direction!

"The Forge only works in the hands of a Prime!" Grabs a Prime's hand, how literal. Too bad that Prime was never named, I'd like to think it was Zeta.
Odd how Megatron removed his cannon arm.

"Dark Star Saber"... not very creative name. Can't argue with results, though.
The whole situation with the Star Sabers reminds me of Armada a bit, though the Decepticons there simply stole the original.

Dreadwing's dialogue sounds a bit forced, like they were trying to make it sound "epic" but not taking it into account if it actually flows naturally. Same complaint with a lot of the writing in the series, particularly in exposition scenes.

Αλφα-Ωμεγα

So, another technical question: If Megz is now running on Dark Energon , why is he not a zombie?
Also, why is the Prime arm registering as a Prime arm and not the blood of Unicron to the Hammer?

Ratchet: His third risky tactical decision in a row: deploying the phase-shifter with Smokescreen on a permanent basis. This might get confiscated when Smokey gets captured, later.
-"We can text them". Funny.

Bumblebee: No airtime at all. Total eclipse of the guy.

Arcee: Excellent body language graphics where she is broken at the apparent death of Smokescreen. Phenomenal. HOWEVER TFP Arcee would have still tried a last ditch assassination attempt when Megz had the blade to her chin, but hey, that wasn't the storytelling goal today so we sell out on the character traits we spent donkeys years fleshing out at the expense of bringing in more bots. Writers: typically foreseeable poor effort.

Smokescreen: Thief. Signature weapon, my backup drive. His signature weapon is his deviousness, then his SIGNATURE SMOKE SCREEN DISPENSERS and his STUNT DRIVING. The Phase shifter is the LEVEL of the writers' capability. Yes: you. (And Wheeljack is still Sunstreaker).

Megatron: He has the capability for finesse but can't actually mix it with blind steamrollering force effectively, (*Phew!!!* for us Autobot backers there!!). Optimus managed to jump the saberwaves and close the distance to toe-to-toe regardless of the new superweapon in Megz' possession. Darkstar saber. Can be a cool name if it's fooled around with.

Optimus & the Star Saber. Wow. Sorry to see him lose that, even tho the two swords utterly turned the whole combat story upside down. I wonder if the shards will ever play a role in rebuilding? Also, wTF kinda crap is the disintergration/melting of the broken shards?

Good story. For once, I was quite held up with suspense, even tho the writing style is primary school: (Create a need, fulfill that need, create another need...) I was wondering who would die. I do sincerely wish that the star saber is remade (star knife?). Don't like the simplicity with which Megz harnessed the power of the Primes. After zillions of years it dawned on him today? Get stuffed. That solution just makes every Prime a lego brick for any Cybertronian brigand. Try harder next time.

Arcee knows the one shot she'd get off wouldn't be enough to even dent Megatron, but she's too emotionally drained from watching a third partner get vaporized in one shot by the same weapon she's got poking her right in the neck. And when has "Throw your life away for hopeless odds against Megatron" ever been Arcee's thing?

Did you think they were going to replace the Prime's hand with Megatron's? It's an arm transplant, it comes with the hand built-in.

As for who the Prime is...I dunno. The red-and-gold color scheme reminds me of Rodimus, but he wasn't a Prime in this continuity.

It looks like Sentinel Prime, from the IDW continuity.

But Sentinel Zeta's colour scheme is blue and gold. :-?

Death for pride, no. Sabotage for opportunity, particularly in the face of death, yes. She is a veteran: Losing 2 partners to a million year long war is only a big deal because they make it a big deal (as a score it's actually phenominally low for millennia).

If Smokescreen had a squad, he's lost them all as well (in his first battle). If he didn't, then all the other Elite Guard are as good as wasted upon creation if they've been getting deployed in ones.

Arcee could have tried to wreck or damage the new weapon. The mere sight of the Dark Energon could have immediately triggered a 'never again' button at the memory of Cliffjumpers' fate. They spotted Megz and she didn't even scramble herself and Smokescreen into flanking positions. She accompanied Smokescreen to overwatch him but didn't even direct him away from standing next to her in a doorway when the mere sight of Megatron immediately implies FUSION CANNON (regardless of the necessary later doublecheck to register only a sword)[there is no reason to suppose that the fusion cannon isn't stowed, replaced with a smaller stowable variant or being carted around by some Henchbots "just out of sight at the moment but certainly here somewhere" at first sight of Megz any day of the Millennium and in any continuity). She ordered the ground bridge and yet she maintained the co-ordinates of a sitting duck.

Well, he's got the stunt driving down. And, personally, the phase shifter does kinda suit him. Might have suited him better if his name was Mirage, but oh well.

Beisdes, the original Smokescreen wasn't exactly the most trustworthy member of the Autobots. Not that we got to see much of it, either on screen or in the comics.

The fact that Arcee doesn't handle loss well has been a part of her character since the five part pilot. And she was particularly close to Tailgate and Cliffjumper. And while she hasn't quite as attached to the green Smokescreen just yet, it's understandable that she might be thinking, "I just got the new guy killed" when it looks like he's bitten the pryamid.

If Smokescreen had a squad, he's lost them all as well (in his first battle). If he didn't, then all the other Elite Guard are as good as wasted upon creation if they've been getting deployed in ones.

We don't know much about the Elite Guard in this series, other than 1) Smokescreen trained at the EG Academy and 2) Said Academy was little more than a boot camp when Smoke joined. For all we know, the core of the Elite Guard was killed off in the opening years of the war, leaving only shell made up a jaded veterans and green recruits like Smoke by the time Cybertron fell.

She panicked; it happens. Besides, this is Megatron we're talking about. The Decepticon leader who tore the head off an Insecticon (with his fusion cannon disabled), once tossed four experienced Autobots around like they were soup cans, and shrugs off all but the heaviest blaster fire. And despite the look and size of his arm cannons, Smokescreen doesn't look like he has any greater level of firepower than Bumblebee. You really think anything they did would have phazed Megatron in the slightest?

In fiction, to memory, there have been only three characters (barring Gestalts, City-formers, and the occasional god-like being) that have ever been able to go toe-to-toe with Megatron on equal footing: Optimus Prime (obviously), Grimlock, and Shockwave. So Arcee's screaming at Ratchet for a ground bridge was the sensible move.

I like the twist idea of the arm's identity being the deceased Alpha Trion's, since it is a very fuchsia-colored arm. ;)

As for why Optimus or Smokescreen wouldn't/didn't notice the familiarity of the arm when they saw it, for Optimus, maybe he did. He probably just didn't get the chance to say so out loud/give exposition to the audience.

For Smokescreen, since he kept his distance from the fight, while he may have caught sight of Megatron having a new arm, he might not have gotten a good enough look at the arm to recognize it due to how fast and aggressive Megatron was moving in the fight. Not to mention that bright glowing lights (such as those coming fromof both swords) can distort the details of the non-glowing solid objects around them. Especially when quickly moving in all dircetions, shifting shadows to all kinds of new locations thus making the arm's silhouette and color even more difficult to see from afar.
