Who said Ripclaw was joining the cast? There are going to be Predacons in the toyline that won't show up in season three.

My point was, now that there's Ripclaw, Ser-Ket could get a toy. They're the same body-type. This would also increase his/her chances of joining the line of Predacons that pop in the next season.

If the show is lucky and gets more seasons, Airachnid could get a draw of the twins card- meaning she could be killed off now just to let another of her kind (and appearance) appear later to keep the status quo shaken up. (I still thing that in this smaller number of episodes her backstory as hunter could help the story quickly & decisively by allowing her to try to take on Predaking and be killed off by Predaking just to show off his awesomeness without killing Autobots right away).

One thing I admire about this show is that in the battle to throw down Megatron, all lesser 'warlords' have fallen to the wayside. This is an aspect of TF lore that I feel needed good telling, and has been told well enough in Prime.

Predaking is a total cipher so far; my guess is he has some master plan, but not necessarily one that conflicts with the Cons' agenda. We really have nothing to go on in terms of his characterization, so I'm just gonna say he likes to kill dem Autobots, because they done blowed up real good.

As for Shockwave, as much as I'd love for him to have his G1 comics characterization and challenge Megs for leadership at some point, I'm pretty sure all his appearances in the Aligned continuity have portrayed him as a Decepticon loyalist. The only exception I can think of is the War for Cybertron DS games, where he's a boss in the Decepticon campaign, whom Megatron defeats in battle, thus earning his allegiance to the cause. Since most of Prime seems to be based off the Exodus novel, my guess is Shockwave's just there to replenish the diminished number of named Decepticons and appear sporadically in fight scenes, seeing as his animation model's already been made.

I know I'm about a week and a half behind, but here are the Vortexx edits to episodes 3 and 4 that I noticed.

Episode 3 -

Right after Bulkhead yells, "Miko, look away!" everything is cut up until the close up of Miko going "Whoa." So we lost Miko's "But!", Bulkhead's "Turn your head away!", and Bulkhead disemboweling the Vehicon he was fighting.

After Starscream says, "I ask nicely one last time. The Autobot Base!" to the chained up Fowler, they cut out everything until the close up of Fowler right as he screams while being zapped by the Energon prod. So we lost his line of "Sure thing, buddy. Right after you eat my star-spangled shorts!" and Starscream holding up the Energon prod into view and crackling it for a second. He still gets obviously zapped in the edited version, though, since the actual zapping was indeed off screen in the original version.


Episode 4 -

After Optimus agrees to Ratchet's suggesting they "dissect" the Terrorcons, Optimus swings his swords around at them and drives a sword through the body of one of the zombies, getting its head caught on the blade and being raised up and detached from its body. This fancy beheading is cut.

When Bulkhead leaps onto the Nemesis, he immediately runs into a Vehicon whose head Bulkhead lobs off and sends flying as another Vehicon opens fire on Bulkhead. Bulkhead then picks up and uses the headless Vehicon as a shield and fires back at the other Vehicon, who gets hit, recovers, then opens fire again just as Bulkhead is about to land on top of him. This entire sequence is cut from right as Bulkhead leaps onto the ship and begins to run, to when the other Vehicon gets hit, recovers, and resumes shooting at him, making it look like Bulkhead was running towards this Vehicon instead of the one he beheads.

The first scene between Fowler and Starscream is trimmed down. A few shots of Fowler as Starscream walks towards Fowler and says, "My dear Agent Fowler, you do realize the Autobots have abandoned you," are cut, with the scene now beginning with Starscream simply saying, "The Autobots have abandoned you." A shot of Screamer looking at Fowler is also cut. As Starscream raises the Energon prod after threatening Fowler once more, the shot of him holding it near Fowler, Fowler weakly saying, "Please... no more. They're in.. secret government base," and Starscream's line of "Go on..." are all cut out, but part Fowler's line ("Please... no more,") IS kept intact. It's just placed over the part when Starscream begins to lift up the Energon prod before the big cut occurs and switches the scene to a close up of Fowler's face as they hear laser fire beyond the door. Then they cut out when Starscream says "Yes?", when Fowler says "In the old steel mill. Or was it under that carnival fun house?", and Starscream's angry reaction just before he drives the prod into Fowler. The driving of the prod into Fowler and him being zapped by it, however, are left COMPLETELY INTACT, and the scene plays out normally from there.

When the scene cuts back to Optimus and Ratchet fighting the zombies, immediately there is a shot of Optimus driving his sword through a zombie's torso. This is cut out.




EDIT (March 2, 2013): Here's a revision of the above comparisons based on a re-watch of the episodes side-by-side with the uncut versions.

Rage of the Dinobots - Issue #2.

Everything was pretty boring to me up until the end. Dinobots go to rescue Ultra Magnus and Swoop...yada-yada-yada...more prisoners...blah blah blah...set them free...Ser-Ket revealed that Swoop had become one of the Forged...yawn-

Wait, WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!

Coooooool!

I wonder if the other three Dinobots will be re-forged, leaving Grimlock the only Dinobot to appear in the cartoon as I predicted.

And maybe the re-forged Predacon Dinobots are the side-switchers in the third season?

I been on break done me a Mega Transformers Marathon here at home watching everyone of my Transformers Series, then I played the games and watch the movies along with the Animated Film.

But I know just cause they are toys of certain characters dosent necessarily mean they will show in TV rather in full force or as a cameo or a flashback episode type of deal.

There have been many characters in the Toy Lines that havent even been shown in Prime yet such as Ultrmagnus, other Toy Lines from Armada and the others some of those also didnt show in Armada they just had toy lines.

The Movie-verse does it similar also with many characters as toys but none or little show up in the movie physically other than the main core cast of characters.

2013 marks my 29th year being with Transformers. Cant wait for the Return of Prime. Seeing Predaking in action is going to be sick an awesome, I am more than curious & interested in seeing Preadakings abilites, his transformation or if he will have one, and lastly his weapons if he will have any.

Shockwave is the largely unknown how will be brought in & how will he be used and you can bet he will be holding a grudge against Arcee she was the one that blasted him in the Ground Bridge.

The Decepicons will be a big time promblem they are back in full force at least for awhile but I dont see it lasting this way for long. Right now they have a common goal hunting down the remaning Autobots and the Human Allies.

Predaking will be a big part of this. Rather or not there will be new characters in S3 dosent really concern me. I am more interested in the fate of Optimus yes he will return but how will it be done. Also lastly will he be the same Optimus Prime or will be upgrade to Optimus Primal.

What role will the human kids have Jack, Miko & Raf, is Wheeljack destroyed no I dont think he is however I do think he is badly damaged and marooned alone and cut-off.

The biggest deal I want more on is the deal where Earth & Cybertron are Twin Planets could this have to do with Unicron becoming the Earth.

Primus = Good (Cybertron / Unicron = Evil/ (Earth two sides of the same coin.

Explains the Dark Citadel on Earth but mostly this was cause of the Omega Lock and Megatron.

What other kind of plot devices from the past will be used & shown maybe that Weather Device from Generation 1 where BB shot it down. They are tons that havent been used that could be used in Prime.

The Fortress of New Kaon, not the Dark Citadel.

Unicron has nothing to do with the Fortress. It's all on the Omega Lock.

I don't want to see rehashes of the same old bull. DOTM took The Ultimate Doom's plot points, and we don't need Prime doing the same.

I know what the tower is officially called I like the Dark Citadel Better.

What I meant to say I was doing some reading on Prime they said in the future episodes something will be revealed that Cybertron & Earth are connected somehow to me this smells of a Season 3 end plot story arc.

Shockwave will more than likely show in a multipart episode, while Predaking will be revealed early on the very 1st episodes of Season 3.

Me, I am more curious to see where Autobot Team goes from here, always on the run or will they find a Temporary 2nd base that is better hidden & more off the grid.

Or will they be always on the run until Optimus returns, I hope Ultramagnus returns he hasnt been in anything hardly so it woulld be cool to see him in Action On Prime TV rather than just his toy.

He could replace Optimus as temp leader until OP returns.

Do I think the dinobots will show in Prime yes do I think all of them will be shown no I dont maybe in the terms of Animated style Dinbots being only a 3 Team Deal.

Stuff from the comics are always diffrent from the TV however they do use deals from the comics they just twist it.

Cant wait to see the return of Prime also more curious will it be the same ole opening Sequence at the beginning they need to change this now that OP is gone.

But leave the theme music intact just a new opening sequence showing all the new characters such as Predaking, Shockwave & WheelJack and the Dark Citadel in the background.

I know its name the Tower I call it what I want, I do have Prime season 1 & Season 2 on DVD along with Fall of Cybertron on my 360.

Bet Transformers 3 will be for next-gen PS4-720.

Shockwave & Predaking will be the most focus in S3 there will be more to it than just the Autbots on the run such as Season 2 dealt with the Iacon Relics Season 3 will also feature something important.

I guess around April or May is when Prime will return.

It's more along the lines of, where Earth had dinosaur as its ancient species, Cybertron had Predacons instead. Basically, the Predacons are to Cybertron what dinosaurs were to Earth.

Well, Rescue Bots already went the route of having its own weather-controlling device, so, that's already well and done.

After what happened to Swoop this issue, there's a slim chance of all the Dinobots showing up, Rodimus. My bet is on Sludge, Snarl, and Slug joining Swoop in being re-forged into a Predacon and leaving Grimlock and Ultra Magnus to join the Autobots in the third season. Then, in the finale, the four Dinobots turned Predacons switch sides.

You know what would be a twist? All the Dinobots become Predacons and Predaking is Grimlock re-forged.
