I doubt the other Dinobots will appear at all. Assuming some of the toys coming out are accurate, the Prime team has already created new animation models for Predaking and Optimus, presumably new models for Grimlock and Ultra Magnus, not to mention whatever minions Predaking will bring with him. And, if Shockwave has an expanded role, they may have needed to create vehicle/transformation models for him too. Speaking purely from a monetary standpoint, I'd be very surprised if we see any more Autobots than those two.

Bear in mind, Season 2's total new (i.e. not previously used for other characters) animation models were the Insecticons (and thus Hardshell as well), Smokescreen, Shockwave, and a static image of Alpha Trion.

I'd love to see the other Dinobots, but given the price of making new CGI models, my money's on UM and Grimlock, and four or five Predacons being the only new additions to the cast. With only 16 episodes to work with, I'm not sure who all else they could squeeze in based on time constraints either.

Calling something that has a real name by a fan name that sounds like it could be real might confuse some people.

What I meant to say I was doing some reading on Prime they said in the future episodes something will be revealed that Cybertron & Earth are connected somehow to me this smells of a Season 3 end plot story arc.

and I just told you what that is: Cybertron is like Earth in that it had Predacons as its own parallel to Earth's dinosaurs.

Shockwave will more than likely show in a multipart episode, while Predaking will be revealed early on the very 1st episodes of Season 3.

Why not just have them both show up in a non-multipart episode? For only being 13 to 16 episodes lot, there's not a whole lot of room for multipart episodes in season 3.

Or will they be always on the run until Optimus returns, I hope Ultramagnus returns he hasnt been in anything hardly so it woulld be cool to see him in Action On Prime TV rather than just his toy.

He's been in the Exodus novel, the War for Cybertron DS video game, the Exiles novel, the DLC multiplayer content for the Fall of Cybertron video game, and the now currently-running Rage of the Dinobots comic series.

Bet Transformers 3 will be for next-gen PS4-720.

There are going to be a lot more characters this season, dude. We're not limited to the budgets of last season.

The handwriting is on the wall. Swoop's a Predacon now. How about Ultra Magnus and Grimlock join the Team Prime and the other Dinobots forge into Predacons and join Predaking in hunting them down. Then the Dinobots switch sides at the end. That doesn't blow their budget and also keeps their promises for the season.

Fine, call me a pessimist. I'd just be very surprised if we received more than 8 or 9 new characters, which would mean a whopping twenty-seven animation models. Prime's first season had the luxury of creating models that have endured from the Darkness Rising preview movie on, and then only introduced 7 new characters (Transformers wise, anyway), one of which was almost completely in shadow. I don't know if Season 3's budget is drastically larger than before, but to get its awesome final episodes Season 2 had to have two clip shows to save money. I believe we'll see plenty of new characters, but I expect a few palette swaps on the Predacons and just minor changes to Wheeljack, Bumblebee, and (*shudder*) Soundwave which are significantly cheaper than the alternative. I want the Dinobots to be there and they should be there from a storytelling perspective, but I expect if they appear at all, it'll be in a static flashback.

We're getting more charcters than we did last time. One of the writers told us this already. We're supposed to expect 8 or 9 new characters, or possibly more.

I'm expecting nothing less than Predaking, Ser-Ket, the four Dinopreds, Ultra Magnus, and Grimlock next season.

Look I really dont care about which characters will or will not show either in S3 or in future episodes or seasons Of Prime.

I just want Prime to continue in its current direction, Cool story arcs such as the Iacon Relics, The Omega Keys & Omega Lock and The Tower. I like how Prime is a continous deal one thing leads to a bigger things all episodes are connected.

I hate those series where everything is a confused mess to the point where your head explodes. Right now I am ok on Primes abscence currently I am watching TMNT on Nick which is awesome.

Prime needs to comeback in a cool OMG way and will probably happen some sort of Artifact maybe of the Original 13 Primes or maybe something along those lines or maybe Jack will somehow be the key to Bringing OP back to life somehow.

I now declare Prime the best Transformers ever and that is saying alot for someone who has been with Transformers for 29 years. Cant wait to learn more, see more but it will be sometime the waiting part sucks.

For now I will kill time with TMNT on Nick.

I am also ok with the wait cause my Young Justice, Green Latern and Star Wars is back on CN just watched the 100 Episode of Clone it was really good so was Young Justice.

So I have 4 shows I am watching now TMNT, Young Justice, Green Latern & Star Wars. However I am waiting on TNTs Falling Skies more than any of these I wanna see how it is going to end only 10 episodes will be in this season of Falling Skies. Hopefully it will not get the axe such as my V did and leave it un-finished.

I am hopining Prime will continue beyond a Season 3 I hear Prime has been renewed for a Season 4 but I think right now this is just a rumor or more specultions.

Curious on why they chosed 16 over 26 not unless all future seasons now will only consist of 16 instead of the original 26 episodes maybe it cuts down cost.

Also most Transformers dont make it past the upper 50 Episodes which is about 3 seasons long most dont make it past season 3. Hopefully Prime will make it I love this show. After Season 3 is finished Primes episode count will be 68 Episodes.

Also this will mark Prime as the Longest Episodic Transfrormers series other than Generation 1 it only counted cause of Headmasters was just Season 4 of Generation 1.

Cant wait but like I said I am watching others at the moment but it would be cool if they would show more teaser trailers of Season 3. They keep Prime a better secret than movies & videogames with games most of these are spoiled before they come out such as the upcoming DMC which I already know the ending to it.

Prime is currently the 2nd longest running Transformers cartoon in terms of episode count...right behind G1 with 98 episodes (118 if you count season five).

I've been following the Rage of the Dinobots comics and I've been making some serious, thought out predictions.

At least we all know the Predacons are coming.

What I meant to say about it current direction is about how good the show is being developed I do know tha Iacon Relics story is it concluded in Season 2 and then brought about the reveal of the Omega Keys & The Omega Lock this will continue into Season 3.

I am curious to see if The portal will lead to other worlds, maybe the past maybe this will be how the Dinobots wil brought in.

The Omega Lock opened up a Huge Portal like deal above the Omega Lock.

Whatever the case Season 3 will be awesome, action packed, emotional, with lots of twists & turns. I wonder if anyone major will die off in Season 3 we need some more Cons to die off they are to many with Shockwave & Predaking that makes even more.

I been with TF for 29 years guess not even I know everything, I just love watching it and collecting I am not hardcore or obsessed like some fans are who know every little detail on it.

Still looking forward to the return of Prime maybe around Aprile will we get more solid info on its return.

We need Autobots to die. There were 7 Autobots and 4 named Decepticons in the season finale. In present day, the Decepticons lost Skyquake, Dreadwing, Breakdown, Makeshift, and Hardshell. The Autobots lost Cliffjumper.

They were 20 re-runs with interactions with Tommy Kennedy & Powermaster Optimus Prime at the beginning and end of them.
