Episode twenty was a good one for character development.
An especially nice moment was when Heatwave sees Cody, the last of his charges vanishes and the tough guy emotional shields break down.
The last moment between Freddy and Cody was simply too cute. That boy knows how to roll with the punches.

Whoops, I meant to type "Frankie and Cody." Thanks for the catch. It's been a long day...

Episode 21 -

Well, that guy who just drove over the side of the cliff is a goner.

Ah, nevermind. He survived. Oh, and his name's Jerry.

Cody's description of what a ghost is conspicuously left out any mention of DEATH being involved. :P

How convenient that Doc and Frankie just happen to have a ghost-catching machine (Spectral Vapor Filter) ready to go.

Charlotte Wayne was/is the Lady of Griffin Rock. 200 years ago, her husband and sons sailed to the mainland in the storm, and never came back.

Hey, it's Evan and Myles! Continuity! :D

And another cop besides the Chief! His name's Barney (heh, nice Andy Griffith reference).

That ghost looks like George Washington.

Whoever's behind all these ghosts is a master thief. The ghosts are used to scare off people from banks, businesses, etc., leaving the thief to come in and loot all the money from the vaults, registers, armored trucks, etc.

Doc and Frankie recognize one of the ghosts as Elma Hendrickson, Griffin Rocks' first female scientist (Frankie's middle name comes from her, Elma). In fact, all of these apparitions resemble portraits of people from the Hall of Inspiration.

As expected, all these ghosts are really holograms. Since there are hologram projectors all over downtown, the holograms appear wherever there's a projector. The images of the people the holograms resemble were put into the projector's database for the Griffin Rock Tricentennial, and have been in the database since. But as to who it was that hacked into the database and turned on the holograms...

...It was Myles. He and Evan built new holograms of themselves for their cells when they escaped.

Surprisingly, Evan and Myles are pretty clever for a couple of common thieves. Just, not clever enough, though. ;)

Whoops, looks like hte Lady of Griffin Rock really was a real ghost. Poor Kade.

Not a bad episode. Like the last one, it took a seemingly B-movie plot and turned it into a rational, carefully well thought out event with mystery and suspense excellently molded into it. And, it even brought back Evan and Myles, showing that these two are not just another random couple of characters, but are actually somewhat important to the plot and are capable of being believably troublesome antagonists. Not to mention more backstory to the show with the Lady of Griffin Rock. A good show for a good, well, show. :D

This show is very careful to avoid saying anything about death, I notice. The guy that tumbled over the cliff should NOT have lived. The explanation of what ghosts are conspicuously ignored that they're dead people. It made them sound more like time travelers.

Betting the Lady of Griffin Rock is going to be significant, since they didn't really do anything with her except introduce ghosts and scare Kade. Also I was sure Dr. Morocco was behind the thefts somehow. I need to rewatch this episode, I have a twinge of being sure, even at the end, that he was involved somehow.

Only if it turns out Evan and Myles were working for him, while this and episode 14 make them look like independent thieves.

Yeah, it's weird. By my memory of the episode, there was nowhere for him to fit in, short of hiring them. But I distinctly remember having this feeling that there was some thread of possibly unrelated information that pointed to his involvement in the episode somehow.

It might be due to Myles hacking into the database to have the holograms distract the Burns Family while they get away with their crimes was kinda similar to when Morocco hacked into the database to cause the island's technology and Trex to go haywire to also distract the Burns Family back in "Return of the Dino Bot". ;)

Chase-"That breaks the laws of physics and polite society!"

One of the things I simply adore about this show is how the writers handle the humor. Much credit must go to the voice actors and animators of course, but the creative genius of the show really shines through.
Yes the writers have managed to weave an intriguing plot through several episodes but they haven't forgotten the one liners and zingers in the process, and it just makes it all the better when Straight man Chase lets them out.
"You've Been Squilished" was another great example, so many one liners in that episode I was cackling the entire time.
To top it all of they manage to do it without reverting to crude potty humor.
I am afraid I am very near breaking down and admitting that this show is outshining Prime...

Episode 22 -

Mister Pettypaws climbing on the statue of Horace Burns has got to be worse than any tree he'd stuck in.

How did Heatwave not see Mister Pettypaws right in front of him? This just feels like a cheap excuse to get Kade to turn the wheel after Heatwave told him, "Hands off."

Chase can't even condone little white lies. Gotta love his being a devout straight arrow.

The lead in the mine walls is blocking all communication signals, so they can't contact the others.

Chief points out that even chase has been a "white liar" as he pretends to be a machine to the rest of the town. He gets it, feels that he should feel guilty, but does not. Good.

Of course, there would be a mine cart track that runs like a roller coaster and ends with a broken end into a pit.

The cake got a bit smashed, and rightfully so. Chase did quite bit activity in robot mode trying to save the Chief, so there's no way it'd still be completely intact.

Oops, Chief left his wallet at the bakery. Good thing the owner called. Now the Burns family siblings were able to figure out where to look for their dad.

This episode shows just how competent a leader Kade can be when put in command.

Cave in! And Chief got knocked out! And the cavern is flooding!

Oh, thank goodness. He got up.

Heh, Blades is scared of bats.

Chase thanks the AllSpark.

Hurry! chief is drowning! In a whirlpool!

Hooray! He's alive!

LOL, Dani made the cake, and no one likes it. :P

This episode was good. Not great, but good. It got more suspenseful nearer toward the end, but still enjoyable. The white lie lesson was kinda mixed, but then so is the whole concept of white lying in general. It's a touchy subject to deal with as many have varying opinions about it. Though, the main one that was focused on was Chief's white lie about the river, which did ultimately get him into trouble and had him learn his lesson, so it's all good. It's also nice to see the mentor figure play the role of the victim instead of the hero, as it gave his children the chance to be his heroes, which is always great. In hindsight, this episode may come to feel better than it was, but for now, it's alright.
