Give Taker a run with the title, for old times' sake. For all the IWC rags on him, he is a legit legend in wrestling. I'm gutted we're probably not going to get Cena/HBK though.

if that happens then ole vince has really taken a big step to the looney bin Taker is still over with the fans his entrance music gets more of a pop than Batista half the time.

Thou for the wrestlemaina match i think it'll be a triple threat match Batista vs Kennedy vs Taker with Taker pinning Kennedy so Batista can say he was never pinned to loose the title.

I don't think he will turn heel though, and I'd be quite happy with Face vs. Face. The crowd would likely be behind HBK anyway.

Even watching half of RAW is sorta painful now a days.

I tell you, I could almost swear Vince secretly hated wrestling or something. I know some are thinking in a mocking way "oh yeah, he must really really hate the thing that makes him the most money in his life and go out there to brag about it." How many times did he try to venture into something else and have it blow up in his face (body building, football league)? Now you have him in a retro frame of mind, AGAIN prioritizing people with looks which could mean excess muscles (Lashley, Masters), height (Khali, Kozlov), or outright bimbos (any diva search winners, runner ups) all of whom had little or no genuine interest in "wrasslin'." But who of them would say no to the prospect of a contract that probably pays $50,000 & up and not have to go through the traditional breaking in to their industry those who genuinely want to be there would have to endure. They only want to use the WWE as a catalyst to do other things much like how the Rock and Stacy Keibler used the WWE for and walked away without looking back.

Negative outlook aside, let's look at the general negativity from tonight. Khali made Jeff Hardy look like an inexperienced jobber with a toy belt all the while Khali wrestled like fecal matter as usual. Val Venis apparently got beaten down by a "wounded" Umaga. Yeah, like even one of the 7 year old Cena fans didn't know who'd come out of that one looking good. Sean Morley (Val Venis) should have someone else make decisions for him as he evidentally doesn't have the sense to realize the WWE will keep him in his outdated, pornstar gimmick and job him to everyone whether it be on their internet program or their cable TV program. 4 or 5 minute matches on either show makes no difference in that he's still a very low priority. Surprised to READ that Cryme Tyme actually lost for once and to TWGTT. Well, I guess that means some poor booker/Hollywood hack is going to lose his job as that actually looks like something gone right. Lord knows the WWE gets to where they don't like that to happen.

In all, I sure do miss the Attitude era, and Fox's 24 on a non wrestling night when it wasn't hard to get good quality TV viewing done in a week. Just because it's occured to me as a thought means I should probably worry about it happening for real. But if Vince ever gets cocky enough to believe that the fans only wants his sense of humor as their entertainment, he might up and run one of his shows without an actual wrestling ring in the building one day. Just a thought though.

Batista has never lost the World Heavyweight Championship in an actual match. He relinquished the title in January 2006 due to multiple injuries. The title was put up for grabs in a battle royal on that week's SmackDown which was won by Kurt Angle (a first, given that he was a RAW superstar at the time).

The plan is for them both to manage a wrestler, or team of wrestlers, in a match.

Despite my dissapointment that a second SmackDown PPV in a row is headlined by a tag match, it should be a very good match. There's no point in a WHC match, because even the dumbest mark on the planet can see Batista/Taker at Mania by now.

I hope this works but here goes...

With Super Sunday fast approaching and me bored at the comp I went searching to find....

http://home.deckpoint.ch/~inderbitzin/WWFpub.ram

That was the Super Bowl Commercial that the WWF ran a few years ago and then I remembered how good it use to be. :( I never thought Id knowingly skip wrestling for any reason but its just gotten so stupid that I hardly watch any more.

Too much gum chewing and not enough a$$ kicking. Its almsot as if Vince doesnt even care any more.

C.M. Punk's push is now said to be completely dead as he got even more heat on him this past week. There were complaints to management about his attitude in the locker room, claiming he acts like he's a main event and they perceive him as talking down to younger wrestlers. The Smackdown vets are of the opinion that who is he to act like he's a star when he's never proven anything. This is not uncommon for people who have had success elsewhere to garner that rep in WWE. In WWE, the perception is you are nothing unless you have proven it in WWE (unless you are someone like a Ric Flair). This was a problem a lot of the ex-WCW and ECW talent early on had, because they thought they were stars, and in WWE, the existing wrestlers who were mid-card perceived mid-card WWE means more than a push in WCW, so who are you. So you can imagine what Punk, as a star in ROH, is going to mean. One Smackdown wrestler noted that almost nobody likes him. If he was a "top guy" like Nash saying the exact same things in the exact same way, everything he does with his quick wit in the dressing room would be considered cool. But with the caste system, his sarcastic wit is taken negatively. The feeling is he acts respectful but in a funny way, in that people think it's not the words he said (which don't sound bad at all when they're repeated) but how people take his words. The Maria thing does him no favors. There is a feeling he won't be cut because it would be an embarrassment if TNA brings him in and he becomes a star with them.

Wow, this company amazes me sometimes.

And yet, he's still being mentioned on TV, lasted almost 30 minutes in the rumble and is in the middle of a nice little back and forth mid-card feud. If they were burying him, Striker would have 2 clean wins over Punk. No proof of a depush here.

Also, Wrestling Observer just likes to add fuel to the fire. I don't consider them a credible wrestling news source.

On a curious note does the RVD loss this week mean he had to put Holly over before he leaves?
