I actually found it pretty funny. Though, once again, it says a lot about the current state of the WWE when a nostalgia star gets a bigger pop than anyone on the current roster.

So I have a question. The last month local boy Heath Slater has been squashed by Vader and Sid, along with getting framed by Piper and Lauper. Is he being jobed out because the corp trusts him to make the stars of yesteryear look good or just they don't have anything else for him.

What the hell was that pole match? They basically pissed on over 40 years of history, any idiot knows that if the item comes down off the pole without it being in control of someone it, GOES BACK UP; YOU STOP THE ACTION FOR A MINUTE AND IT GOES BACK UP!

Meh. Moot point. Besides, when was the last time a pole match took place? It's been way overshadowed by spectacles like MitB. The scramble for the contract was quite amusing, though. And it was great to see Sid back, still being able to do some cool stuff. He still has the best looking powerbomb. Too bad it was a 1-shot. After Bret Hart, he was my favorite wrestler of the 90s to watch. His matches weren't spectacular, but for some reason I found them very good. Him beating HBK at Survivor Series was one of my top 3 favorite WWE moments of all time.

Sid was the best part of the show but he needs to shave, his face looked off the entire time. I'm also happy he didn't hurt himself again. Correct me if I'm wrong but this was his first televised match since he broke his leg?

His face looked off because he's old. He's over 50. And I believe this was his first televised match in 13 years, yes.

Speaking of old, what about Jericho? He looked really bad last night.

Probably too much partying on Fozzy's "European Tour".

Still, regardless of how he looked, he shut Cena up long enough for Vicky to come out and continue to drown Cena out. Historic announcement? pffffft. Historic would be announcing you're taking time off to deal with your divorce issues.

We would've heard about that earlier in the day, like when Edge had to retire.

Edge for General Manager!
(Although GM's tend to, at some point, end up getting physical)

Jericho was on suspension for 30 days due to him kicking the Brazilian flag while they were on tour there. They used the Fozzy bit to cover it up.

Hence why I said "European Tour"

I was actually hoping he'd come out carrying the flag.

So Raw 1000 has been and gone, don't feel it really lived up to the hype.

3 hours, and only one Diva match, that being Lita and Friends beating up on Heath Slater. After this, Slater deserves a shot at the IC title or something.

Was good to see the full DX.

You knew Heyman was in trouble when he kept bad mouthing HHH's kids ... always good to see Steph and Heyman go at it.

AJ as GM? Has potential.

And you also knew that as soon as the goons started surrounding Kane, the lights were going to go out. Brothers of Destruction!

Cena/Punk ... little disappointed. I wanted to see a clean finish. But I guess this way it sets up feuds down the track. Do we call this a heel turn for Punk? Some might, I would imagine he's pissed off that "Dwayne" can be a very part-time wrestler and get a title match at the Rumble.

Overall ... meh. Hopefully this extra hour isn't going to be filled with Touts and other social media crap.

Yeah, hopefully this Tout crap won't be a regular part of the show. It's f**king annoying.

Of course, Chyna was missing, so it wasn't the "full" DX. But considering her current career choice, and probably bad relations between her and Vince, I didn't expect her to show anyway.

It was kinda nice to see JR back as well, even if I never cared for him much.

Mae Young's son. LMFAO! I wonder how many current or new fans actually got that.

I was hoping Kane would bust up the wedding, but it still ended pretty well. But I wanted to see someone else as GM, maybe an established/retired veteran.

It was fun to see Bret Hart return even if just for an announcer gig. And I was happy for the Miz, I have been finding myself cheering for him for a while now.

I liked the confrontation between HHH and Lesnar, but it should have ended with Lesnar beating HHH down. With both Lesnar and Heyman getting beat down, it was too one-sided. And I also think they gave away the result of Summerslam as well. HHH will win.

The whole segment with Heath Slater and the legends was pretty cool. But yeah, Heath should get something out of this, and a feud with the Miz for the IC title seems good.

The Taker/Kane segment was really good, but I think it would have been even better if they hadn't announced Taker with the gong, but just had the lights go out as Mahal's guys were about to attack, and then have them come back on with Taker standing there already. And I'm calling it right now: this will lead to either Taker vs. Kane at WM29 when Kane ends the Streak, or it will be a tag match against HHH and HBK.

I liked the title match ending. It involved all big names, and the Rock going against Show brought me back to 2000, even if they both had hair then. Punk attacking Rock made things interesting, now if only they can keep it up for 6 months, until the Rumble.

Overall, I thought it was a fun show, even if it had its misses.

If you meant to follow that up by saying "...to be the dumbest idea Vince has had since the last dumb idea he had", then yeah. It does have "potential." Seriously, is anyone else as tired of AJ as I am?

Well...that didn't last long, did it?

Good news: AJ's gone.

Bad news: Vickie's back in. (Seriously, is anyone else as tired of her schtick as I am? It's getting dangerously close to the point when I dislike the actual person rather than the character they're playing.)

Also, here’s something that I didn’t know.

WWE Libraries Wikipedia page wrote:WWE owns the unedited master tapes for all content in the library, however, due to a lawsuit over the "WWF" initials brought on by the World Wide Fund for Nature from May 2002 until June 2012 they were not allowed to use the letters WWF or the "scratch" logo used between 1998 and 2002 (the pre-1998 logo was not covered under this lawsuit, with a variation of this being used in the November 15, 2010 WWE Raw Old School edition).[9] As a result, any instance of someone saying "WWF" (though not World Wrestling Federation) or shots of the "scratch" logo were edited out on any re-airings or video releases released during that time frame, except for the UK exclusive WWE Tagged Classics DVD range. In late July 2012, WWE reached a settlement with the World Wide Fund for Nature which once again allows them to use the "WWF" initials and scratch logo on archive footage. Unedited footage first appeared on the 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw and since then has appeared in full length matches shown on the WWE website.

I taped Raw 1000 (and still have it on tape), but haven't really watched it in depth, so I didn't know this. However, I HAVE checked out WWE.come several times, and saw pictures that had the scratch logo not edited out, so I have to figure something was up with that.

Gotta wonder one thing, though: will the next WWE video release that has footage from that period still have the logo blurred out, or will they be allowed to show it uncensored?

I'll find out soon enough, I'm getting the nWo DVD coming out next week. They were in WWE in 2002, so there might be that logo on some of their matches.

I'm pretty sure there were, since both of their major matches happened @ Wrestlemania.

I picked up the Undertaker: Streak DVD when it came out, and for the four matches he had during that time (@ WM 14, 15, X-Seven and X8), the logo was blurred out. (Then again, it was more than likely put together before the deal was made, so they really couldn't have taken advantage of it...)

I have been contemplating picking up that set, but I was waiting to see what happens at WrestleMania next year. If Taker wrestles, it was kinda stupid to make the set, as he will either be 21-0 or 20-1. If he decides to call it quits, I'll probably get the set, even though I have every WrestleMania on VHS and DVD already. How are the extras/documentary on the set? I know all about the matches, but I don't know what else is on there.

Also, have you heard anything about the upcoming Attitude Era DVD set? Amazon has it listed for Nov. 20th, but there's no info on it. I'd like to know about the highlights and list of matches...

She won't. She failed last time, and she'll fail this time. She might get closer, especially if WWE hypes their immense support for curing breast cancer, but otherwise, she'll lose. She's too old to be a political rookie.

The only other thing on the set is a paltry 35 minute documentary that pretty much tells the story of the Streak, and doesn't really go into that much detail to do so. If you're looking for bonus features of substantial value, don't bother looking here. (I only picked up the thing because it had UT WM matches I didn't have elsewhere.)

I haven't heard much about it, other than the release date (which is November 20th), and that it'll be a three disc set, much like other WWE DVD releases. I can only assume that it'll include a documentary on one disc and a collection of "historically important" matches on the other two.
