Michael Bay has said that he'd like to do sequels for the movie.

An actor (possibly Shia Lebouf) in the TF movie has a tow-film contract.

Let's face it, there will probably be a series. I'm guessing that the main characters won't change, but maybe a few will get rebuilt and some more characters will be added.

Does this mean that they are going to re-release the 1st movie toys for the 2nd movie?

Thinking about a sequel, and the first have not been even released yet. Maybe the movie sucks, you know?

All the main tfs will magically get reformatted at the beginning of every movie.

Just like A/E/C.

I bet the explination (or lack thereof) will be as good too.

Just because the movie sucks doesn't mean we won't get a sequel. Its the third "Sci-fi original" movie that you have to worry about.

First off, yes, it is very possible for a bad movie to suck. BloodRayne (A Uwe Boll film) is getting a sequel, and so is DooM. (Though I thought DooM was awesome)

Second, getting a little ahead of yourself, are we? First one hasn't even been finished yet, and you're worrying about a sequel.

If there is a sequel, it'll probably be about humanity trying to adapt to the fact that living, alien robots walk among them, and all the social, political, religious, etc. etc. adjustments related.
