The best two memories of Transformers is one when G2 came out i had bought Longhaul and asked for the rest of the constructicons for my birthday. Well my parents could not find them but they got me all the G2 combaticons insted and i loved it. The other is when i decided to try and collect the marvel tf comics and my dad took me to a comic convention to help me try to find them.

My favorite Transformers childhood memory is probably discovering the cartoon one afternoon by catching "More Than Meets the Eye," part 2. I'd missed part 1, so the quick recap at the beginning of part 2 was like information overload: "... the Decepticons turn oil into Energon cubes ...." :) Cut to Huffer and Brawn under the burning oil rig -- and I've been a fan ever since.

Best, MyClone

Memory is what it is, but when I was 5 I think, I entered a coloring contest and won 3rd place. The prize was 10 bucks towards any toys. I saw Soundwave and Buzzsaw on the shelf and was so excited because either my Mom hadn't found him yet or only had got me Autobots for my birthday. He went on to being my favorite toy and I still have him today. :CON:

My most memorable experience? That's easy- the first time I Transformers on T.V.

It was on a Sunday morning, and I woke up disappointed that there was going to be no cartoons on. We had this 13 inch black and white T.V. that had those turn dials. I kept turning them both until I picked up a Pink Panther cartoon. I kept yelling, "hey mom, I found cartoons on channel "U"!" (the top turn dial had a U on it, but I was really picking up the early days of our channel 49- WDBD) I sat through Pink Panther, The Rocky and Bulwinkle Show, and some other nice cartoons, but at the end the first episode of my beloved cartoon came on!! I was glued to the tube the entire time. It was love at first sight. Subsequently, my first toy from the show was Optimus, which made me love the toys forever, but I'll never forget getting to watch the cartoon for the first time.

You know- I had posted this on the Geek To Me site, but I wanted to add one more thing. I didn't have the greatest childhood, as some of the members on here would also confess. My parents weren't the greatest in the world- and I'll just leave it at that. My grandparents did their best. My grandma new how much I loved Transformers and always got me one when I got to see her. The cartoon and toys helped me deal with the craziness back then. People can say what they want about how "weird" I am for that, but I'm glad that Transformers came into my life, and I know I'll never forget them......

I was born during the Beast Wars era, but my earliest and most favorite memory is when I received Robots In Disguise Super-Class Optimus Prime for Christmas when I was six years old. I have no idea where he is now, but he was my most favorite toy for the entire time I had him.

When I was a kid, my dad said yes when I bugged him to buy Transformers#1 by Marvel Comics back in 1984!

Also, back in the 80s like many, my parents would by Go-Bots instead of real Transformers because they were 1/3 to 1/4 the price. One day they got me a real one, the Insecticon Bombshell!

My favorite memory is when I first laid eyes on a Transformer. My brother and I were over at my cousin's house when he brought out this blue Walkman, or at least, what appeared to be a blue Walkman. He proceeded to twist and turn it until it resembled everybody's favorite Decepticon communications officer Soundwave. The best part was when he opened up the battery case, took out the batteries and showed my brother and I that even the batteries were not what they seemed.

From then on, by brother and I decided to start collecting TFs. He had Decepticons while I had Autobots. The rest is history.

I remember the g2 transformers and the decepticon finally destroying the autobots. . . then i left to get my figures and the episode was over.. . so decepticons will always win in my book.

My favorite moments of transformers was the episode of the aerialbots. Probably the second time that there was more than just one jet that was an autobot. And not just jet autobots but that they can transform into a huge robot names Superion. It was the coolest moment in transformers history for me. The look in my eyes just told my mom and dad what I wanted when I turned 12. The most badass of 80's robots.

My favorite memory was when I saw the first Transformers commercial and shortly after that, one of my friends got Prowl. He let me have his catalog that came with the toy and I was completely enraptured with what I saw. Two toys in one! I especially loved the Decepticons with Soundwave, Megatron, and the Cassettes being everyday objects. I went out the next day and bought my first: Soundwave and Buzzsaw. With that seed, I have become a lifelong fan and my collection now numbers in the thousands.

I was 9 years old back in 1984 when the Transformers toys and cartoon arrived in the United States.

One of my fondest memories is going over to my friend's house to play with his Megatron and Optimus Prime toys. I did not have either of these two toys. To my 9 year old mindset, they were the most awesome and radical Transformers.

Another memory is for Christmas I got some Transformers (Soundwave and RamJet). I really did not want to go to sleep that night for fear that when I woke up I would find out it was all a dream. But to my relief, Soundwave and RamJet were still in my bedroom.

And of course, I remember coming home from school, always eagerly anticipating watching the latest exciting episode of the Transformers cartoon.

And at 36 years of age, I still love the G1 cartoon and the toys!

My favorite transformers memory must have been when I was about 9 or 10 when I got the G2 Optimus Prime with the voice-box trailer for Christmas one year. It was one of my favorite toys for years to come, I played with that voice box so much that the speaker got all distorted. I only wish I knew what happened to that toy. It vanished, along with many of my toys when I was in my mid teens.

My favorite memory is watching Transformers The Movie (1986) at a run down theater several towns away with my dad. I was just over 6 years old, and I had to beg my parents to take me because our local theater didn't have it. It was a nice treat because my dad was in the military and gone quite a bit, so it was a rare occasion that I got to spend one to one time with him.

I remember the theater being tiny (only showing 1 or 2 movies)and a little run down, but being REAAALLYY excited as we pulled in and I saw the theater marquee with "Transformers The Movie" posted on it.

Man, was I upset when Optimus died...

As a somewhat newer fan of the franchise, I was largely ignorant of Transformers until the Bay movies. But it all started when a commercial came on for the 2007 movie and the concept immediately caught my attention like none other. The clip of Starscream transforming in mid-air and flipping on to a bridge made me bound determined to see the movie, and from there everything just sort of snowballed into my current love for the entire franchise. : )

Coming home after school, I would line up the AUTOBOTS one side of the rug, and the DECEPTICONS on the other side. Dispersed in between them were my green army men. It was so AWESOME! I'd go on one side, lay down flat so as to be ground level with them, and take a bunch of rubber bands and try to shoot them down. The TF's didn't go down without a fight of course (especially Superion and the moving Trypticon!), and the green army men faced certain annihilation!

When I was ten (this was around the time of Transformers Armada) I was on a creative problem solving team for a competition called Odyssey of the Mind.
We performed a short playlet wherin the Earth was going to be hit by a meteor and it transformed into a giant robot to kick the meteor away like a soccer ball. One of the kids on our team wore an earth costume which really transformed.
And out space shuttle had an autobot symbol on it and I think we also had a sort of parody of the Transformers Theme song.
That scene won us the Odyssey of the Mind Provincial Finals in BC in 2003 and we went to the World Finals in Iowa later that year.

One of my favorite transformer memories is actually 2... First was the episode 87 only human where a new villan emerges that looks and talks remarkably like Cobra Commander, even though he and starscream share a voice. It was like wow two of my favorite shows at the time combined plus I felt very intelligent as a young child to put two and two together. The second is more somber it was me at 6 years old having to be dragged out of the original cartoon movie because I was hysterical that Optimus died. At the time I wanted no part of Hotrod they killed my hero.

My first and best memory is watching cartoons with my dad when I was 5 back in 1984. We were waiting for "He-Man" to start and all of a sudden, one of those 80's "This show won't be seen for the next few days for a special presentation" bumpers came on. Next thing I knew, "More than meets the Eye" part 1 came on and I was hooked ever since.

My favorite memories of the Transformers are ones of hours spent in the family back garden with both my brothers, recreating the plots of G1 episodes we had watched that afternoon with our own toy figures. Of course, any figurine we didn't have were replaced by some other miscellaneous 80s/90s character that we happened to have. There were some great moments. Not so much when I accidentally broke the leg off my brother's Grimlock, who happened to be his favorite character... but we all make mistakes.

My fondest memory of watching transformers as a kid was when we were introduced to the Dinobots. I loved dinosaurs as a kid and the thought of a transformer that was a dinosaur was awesome. Not to mention that the dinobots could rival the decepticons strongest combiner (Devastator), who by the way is my 2nd favorite character from the franchise. Robot Dinosaurs, every little boys idea of AWESOME!!!!!

My favorite memory is rushing home after school to catch G.I. Joe and Transformers back to back. It was the perfect amalgam of awesome. While G.I. Joe will always hold a special place in my heart, but you can beat giant transformers robots kicking butt. I never had many of the toys as a kid, because we were pretty poor. TV was always free and that's how I got my fix.

My father coming home and giving me a comic book, which happened to be 'based off' my favorite cartoon show...

Which issue? #7, "Warrior School". I was *SHOCKED*, dismayed, in tears(!) to learn that Optimus Prime was beaten by the Decepticons, left as *NOTHING BUT A HEAD*?!?!? -But even so, he had the calm, calculating nature to tell Hound that, in order to save them all; he *HAD TO FIGHT!*....

How was I to know that one of the most traumatizing moments from my youth (next to Prime's 1986 movie death) would be one of my fondest memories?
