Is anyone as excited for this game as I am? I've been saving up lunch money for months and I just need $5 more until I have enough to get it! I already pre-ordered it and am awaiting it's release next week! This week can't go by faster. And everywhere I go, there are things that remind me of Skyrim and intensify my anticipation. Yes, even outside.

So, until it comes out, I'll just be listening to this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnMudMVD ... ideo_title

I'd love to but my computer can't run it. And if they want me to buy the console version, they're going to need to do some convincing. And by "Convincing" I mean tell me the Daedric Princes are back. At least Sheogorath! I'll settle for Azura, though.

Try this one. It combines both trailers with a little bit more in between. Unlike the one you posted, the audio is much more consistent, and they don't mess up the ending.

EDIT: For extra fun and simplicity, try this. The site will automatically loop any Youtube video you put in there.

Today is the last day without Skyrim for the rest of the earth's existence!!! I want to go to the midnight release so damn bad. But I have stupid school in the morning and there's no way in hell my parents are going to let me skip it for a video game, even though I have an A in two of the classes I have tomorrow...

Well, it turns out Azura and Sheogorath are both back. And if they're in there, no reason to assume the rest of the gang isn't. Well, except for Jyggalag, obviously. And Mehrunes Dagon isn't allowed back in Mundus since Akatosh drove him out.

Still, though, I can't get the game. Poor, PC isn't good enough, and I'm just incredibly unmotivated.

Well I stayed up until 1 am last night helping my dad with something, so I'm out! I'm trying to make a walk through of the game now, but it keeps crashing. I'm downloading the patch now. Damn patches.

Whoa whoa whoa. A Bethesda game being buggy? Now who could have predicted something as easily predictable as this?

The bugs in Besthesda's games are all part of the charm. The quirky-ness of them add something fun and unpredictable in my opinion.

I ended up going with the Special Edition for the PC. Though my gaming rig is a few cities away at this time. Monday night, I'll finally be able to get going!

I'm wondering if I should post may walkthrough here... What the hell.

Warning, my walkthrough contains some "harsh" and "vulgar" language.

I know it's a necrobump, which is weird because this is a thread about Skyrim and you'd think people would talk about it more. I just wanted to share that I now own Skyrim. Just got back from the store, bought it brand new for PS3 because my PC isn't good enough. (I am aware of the problems Skyrim experiences on PS3, I choose to ignore them)

Unfortunately, as part of the Faustian deal I made to get it, I can't actually play it until Sunday. Still, though, I am more than excited to put buckets on people's heads and taking arrows to the knee.

Last night, as I was just starting up Skyrim last night (I have altered the deal, pray I don't alter it any further) I told my dad that I had no intention of sleeping.

He thought I was joking.

I wasn't joking.

And so far it blows Oblivion out of the water.

Mind-blowingly awesome.

It couldn't hurt but it's not really needed. All you need to know is that, after Oblivion, the Empire no longer has a true Emperor, and is falling apart. The rest they'll explain in-game, and anything else you could just look up.

Re: The Skyrim Thread

I just finished it last night, well finished the main quest and the other faction quests. I made almost the same character that I had in Obliviion (a Khajiit archer/thief/assassin and played most of the game on expert dificulty.

In Oblivion, I made god tier armor and weapons. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but even with both Smithing and Enchanting maxed out my gear was nowhere near what I could previously make.

After spending over 200 hours on the game I decided to just finish it up. I was expecting the final boss to be a bad ass cat eating machine. The sad part you ask? The bastard went down in five arrows, not even making use of a lot of the equipment I had created.

I was expecting it's corpse to raise from the ground for some epic fight, but nothing ever happened.

All in all though, I haven't had this level of enjoyment from a game in a long, long, LONG time. Half of the glitches I ran into weren't game breaking, they were just funny. Random bandits, giants, and all other sorts of beasts just plummeting form the sky. (I'm thinking they pissed off a dragon somewhere :D )

One of the Dark Brotherhood quests I was following my mark waiting for him to find an inn or some other place where I could off him in his sleep. I followed him for three days in game time, just then an Ancient Dragon picked up my target and flew away. I never did find his corpse and I had to load a previous save.

Now, on to a new character...

That isn't the one where you have to kill Gaius Maro is it? You can taunt him into fighting you in Whiterun's pub on Turdas at night, it won't even count as a murder.

Whiterun was exactly where I killed him. I think thats the only place he sleeps alone. I don't quite recall what the bonus was for not offing him on the road was but I didn't think it was worth the extra effort.

They give you the location of an upgraded set of Dark Brotherhood armor, which also happens to be the location of the second word for the Slow Time shout.

This is one of the greatest collector's edition. The statue of Alduin looks exactly like it does in the game. The same goes for the art book. A lot of the time you just get some small booklet with a few pages. Skyrim's art book is huge (close to 8x11) and has some of the best concept drawings that I've ever seen.

The regular edition also comes with that sweet map. That thing really helped early on (Before I had enough locations visited where I could fast-travel everywhere) since the in-game map doesn't list roads for some reason.

I opened the map once, but put it right back. Really worried I'd rip that thing if I kept referring to it.

Started the game and played through the beginning mission of escaping the dragon and making it through the tunnel. Never played Elder scrolls before but played the hell out of Fallout 3 and NV so fell into the controls and game style pretty quickly. Annoying that the PC uses the console menus but not a gamebreaker.

Decided to be an Argonian. The idea of being a lizard man just really appeals to me for some reason. Follow the link for a pic.
Locust of Jibblies

In keeping with him being my Locust self, I picture he was arrested for serial peeping. Eyes that have stared so long they've permanently glossed over and the leafy hair makes it really easy to hide behind potted plants. Alas, he attempted to spy a Khajiit and ended up with the slashes across his eye for his trouble. His warpaint is a permanent smile and the battle cry "It was worth it!".
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.
