This weekend we had the First Annual Albuquerque SciFi Expo. It was a lot of fun and there were some good stars. The two biggys were Ray Parks and Walter Koenig, but there were also some other really great SciFi people as well. I got Ray Parks to sign my 30th Anni Saga Legends Darth Maul figure (I always loved the packaging for the 30th Anni figures).

The vendor room was pretty good but not as good as some of the other conventions we had this past year. However there was one vendor that had a ton of Star Wars stuff and it was ALL on DEEP DISCOUNT. So here are my spoils and they were all minty fresh on nice cards.

Comic Packs:
Darth Krayt and Sigel Dare
Antares Draco and Ganner Krieg
1995 POTF Red Packaging:
R2-D2
Tatooine Luke Skywalker (long saber)
Tusken Raider
Hoth Han Solo
C-3PO
1996 POTF Green Packaging:
Boba Fett with Wing-Blast Rocketpack
1998 POTF Green Packaging:
Emperor Palpatine with New Millennium Minted Coin (tri language packaging)
ROTS:
Commander Bacara
SW OTC:
Bossk
2003 Clone Wars:
Anakin Skywalker and Clone Trooper Lieutenant Value Pack
Arc Trooper
AOTC:
Clone Trooper (red)
Jango Fett (Slave 1 Pilot)
Obi-Wan Jedi Star fighter sealed for $5!
30th Anni:
Gold Coin Han Solo
2010 Saga Legends:
IG-88
2010 CW:
Commander Gree

All for $50!

Forgive me if I misname these guys, but this afternoon I got a stealth Clone trooper from the Clone Wars and a Space trooper. I know that's vague, but I currently teach at four different colleges and I stopped at a TRU nearby one and just spotted and grabbed these two figures. As much as that may make me sound like I just impluse bought them, I'm pretty happy to have found them. I'm a sucker for Troopers.

How is the Space Trooper?

To my disappointment, I haven't opened him up yet, but for starters let me say he looks fantastic. It's a different mold than the Spacetrooper that came in the Legacy collection. I think that was the line; it was the one with the collector coins. This one is slimmer and more menacing looking than the previous one, and he has lasers on the elbows that are slung under the arm, like if he bent his elbows they would point straight down. The blaster he comes with is a regular Imperial blaster, not like that giant crappy one the Legacy figure came with. He's Stormtrooper white, whereas the previous one was a darker gray color.
If you see one, pick it up. He looks great.

So I was watching the whole saga on Spike TV a week or two ago and I thought: Aw, crap...I forgot I used to love Star Wars.
As of right now, I have no idea what's going on in the Hasbro action figure department. But I may head out to Target or TRU and get a few new guys. Maybe I'll finally get the Snowtrooper, as I'm trying to collect all types of Clones and Stormies.
THANK YOU HASBRO! You listened to my begging. Ultra Magnus lives again.
