The TF4 villian

Hi everyone
If there will be a TF4, the antagonist would probably be Galvatron since he's the most popular i know in the transformers universe besides the dead ones.
The Fallen and Sentinel were not so popular to begin with, but ended up as known villians, then what about Straxus, he's barely known but he could end up having the spotlight. Personally i think Galvatron should have the role as the antagonist, or do you think someone else should have the role?

Considering they went with two surprisingly obscure characters (to the average viewer) for the last two films' antagonists, I don't think it would hurt if they did so again. Personally, I'd like to see Jhiaxus as a main villain, partially as a tongue-in-cheek joke at the section of the fanbase that wants these movies "axed".

Alternatively, I think it would be a neat idea to have Scourge and Cyclonus as co-evildoers, with or without Galvatron. Depending on what they do, the writers could potentially use them to lead up to Unicron, or throw that thought out the window if having him just wouldn't work for whatever reason. (And at the moment, I have my honest doubts it will.)

If Galvatron were to be used, I'd rather him be a separate character from Megatron ala the IDW comics. After all, they already brought him back to life once. Two times might be overkill.

Maybe though, it could be Overlord.

Galvatron, Scourge, Cyclonus, and Unicron.

Although a long-standing character in his own right, "Galvatron" sounds very much like a knock-off of "Megatron." Like they can't bring Megatron back yet again so they're going with a near-clone of him, even though that isn't the case at all.

A clone of him sounds sensible. I agree what Kiyza added, that Galvatron should be a seperate character, it would be more realistic that way instead of revive Megatron again. Megatron was the arch enemy of Optimus, and now with him gone, Galvatron could take that place since he has similarities from Megatron.

I would like them to do the comics version of Shockwave as the main villain. He would be one of the better threats of the live action movies.

I Personally think that throwing in a murderous and cold Bludgeon as the main antagonist until Galvatron arrives would be something of interest.

Thunderwing all the way. I loved his obsession with the Matrix in the comics, and the fact that he actually acquired it for a bit. They could also mix in a little bit of Bludgeon in his personality, too, since I liked him also but his leadership skills was never fully utilized. Instead of Unicron, which may be impossible to translate into film, they could incorporate the Warwold.

Although the story behind Jhiaxus and his second generation Cybertronians is also very interesting.

If the fourth movie is intended to kick off a second trilogy, then it's much too early for Unicron. Maybe having him make a cameo appearance at the very end of it wouldn't be a horrible idea. Of course, Unicron would be a very difficult character to try to pull of in live action regardless, so they'd have to be very tactful with what angle they choose to approach him from.

If I had my way with it, I'd wager the easiest way to both please the fanboys, avoid overwhelming the average audience member, and save money on CGI would be to have explicitly change sizes during the film ala the AllSpark so that he'd be capable of, say, eating Pluto (actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea) and duking it out with the main characters on Earth. It might get rid of the awesome factor of characters going into space to fight a planet-sized robot, but it would make it cheaper and less overwhelming to have him land on Earth. As for why he'd land on Earth as opposed to eating it, perhaps he'd want to to get rid of a certain MacGuffin that's the only thing that could stop him...

Man, I'd love to write a movie about something like that. XD

It just means that they'd have to do a lot to separate him personality wise from Megatron, give him different goals, a substantially different appearance, etc. Of course, considering the movies' track record with this, it's very doubtful that any of that would be done to an effective degree. -.-

I have a simple request for whoever would be a main villian in a future TF film (if there even are any)

A cool alt mode. Back in the day, that used to be a prerequisite for a Decepticon leader or even a relatively major character. Now, not so much.

The best TF Villian was Megatron from the first movie (2007)
Actually all the villians in the first movie were bad ass.

After that, they were so pathetic you wondered how they lasted so long.

What if they reboot the movie?? Do you try to bring back some of the main villains from the previous three TF movies or do you start 100% fresh?

Personally I'd like to see the small squad vs squad thing happen again like in 2007. Here's some characters I've thought up.

Optimus(of course)
Bumblebee(duh to make money)
Grimlock(replaces ironhide)
Silverbolt(aerial support)

Vs

Galvatron(seperate character/grimlocks nemesis)
2007 Bonecrusher repaint/rename
Cyclonus
Scourge(g1 not RiD)

I don't know about any villans but it would be nice to see some Cybrtron characters like Vector Prime and Primus in live action. I forget where but I heard another Prime is being introduced.

A mysterious force bring back to life Megatron an reformat him as Galvatron. (doy, wonder hoo dat would be)

Starscream's ghost possess a old F-15 and format it into his new, more classic looking body. (allmymoney.jpg)

Lugnut will be there to suck-up to Galvatron.

Airachnid will be there to put some dominatrix atmosphere.

How about a new car Decepticon, to be Bumblebee's rival?

--------------

And don't forget the returning Autobots! Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are no-brainers, but it need some new ones.

A Cybertronian monster come to Earth and do some rampaging only to be calmed down by Optimus Prime. GRIMLOCK GLAD TO FIND FRIENDS BACK!

Bulkhead will come to replace Ironhide. I so want to see a movieverse version of him.

Hound will come to fill the bot's ranks. (allmymoney.jpg for a movieverse figure of him.)

Megatron didn't do a damn thing in that movie.

except for killing Jazz, and the mere sight of him striking fear in four seasoned Autobots and forcing them to retreat. Oh, and he actually beat Prime by himself with almost zilch damage to himself.

Considering Shockwave was kinda cool in the third one but his snake destroyed it for me (i'm not saying the special effects weren't cool...they were) but have Shockwave as the main villian at the beginning and He sends out a signal calling Galvatron and the Sweeps to earth would be a good idea...the same signal brings the dinobots (it just doesn't seem right for all 5 of them to not be there) and there could be a tease for Unicron at the end. whatever way they choose to write the story their going to be seeing :ic$:

Quintessons. Give them the Lovecraft/Reapers treatment instead of simply being multi-faced jerks and you'd have yourself a hell of a villain right there.

What about Lord Chumley? :D :D

My real choice, the Insecticons. Expand them beyond greedy for sustinence (gi) make them a race that (ie.,) snatched the Allspark or tried killing the primes.
