;)
I like the general look of these two, they have the 'generic robotic humanoid' shape that I like from a Transformer, even with their crazy shoulder weapon kibble (which I guess could be tucked behind)!

My thinking was obviously Topspin being blue as the original Topspin. With Armour Topspin, was the thought process in making him white to make us think Twin Twist? That is what I felt when I saw them together! ;)

:-?
I have Cyberverse Guzzle who is a great looking figure but again the sizing seems to let him down for me, to pleace him in the line-up.

Would Hailstorm/Mindset be better suited (with maybe a few painted highlights) for the role of Wrecker Guzzle or can anyone suggest another 'tank' to play his part...? :-?

I don't like the movie asthetic. Thus I will never have the Movie Wreckers alongside my Classics Wreckers

Guzzle's always been portrayed as a stumpy powerhouse, which is perfectly represented in his toy form. However should you decide to go with another armour-bot. I like Mindset or RobotMasters Reverse Convoy.

I'm just a littl bit disapointed that the Wreckers comes back as a combiner, Ruination, it would be greater that they had brought them back as individual figures, but maybe for an other day...

Damn, £30? why don't you use Kapow? They're decent. I had similar problems with the FP insecticons and my Runabouts but at least the value of the toys made the charge easier to swallow.

Height wise, Rack 'n' Ruin look pretty good. You have your work cut out for you though, giving them weapons and attaching them to each other. you had any thoughts yet? Bionicle or other Lego ball joints might be useful and could be used for Elbow/Knee articulation... I think you can even get them in Green these days.

How about PCC Heavytread? I don't have him personally, but a lot of people seem to really like him as a Guzzle substitute.

It was an Ebay seller 'A-Plus Anime' which had a whole bunch of Asia exclusives bundled together, Springer, Cliffjumper, Swerve, Motorbreath, Thundercracker and Hoist for £70 free postage. Get the Deluxes and sell on the Legends. Bargain, or so I had planned. :-(

The Iron Giants have no articulation in the elbow, waist or knees. May chop through connector at the shoulder and see what I can do?
If I actually get any where with them and not accidentally destroy them, they may just be displayed as is?
Perhaps a quick green respray and something bodged together for their hammer and anvil fists?

The more I try and work together a Neo-Classics line-up for The Wreckers, its looking like the scale will lean towards Scout/Deluxe.
I wanted to use my CM Corp Mugen Caliber as Roadbuster but he is huge standing next to the others.
Does anyone know of a Deluxe sized Mugen Caliber that would be fitting or shall I hold for the Ruination repaints? :???:

PCC Heavytread makes for a good Guzzle, Sorry if that's already been mentioned. I dont know much about the wreckers, but would like too. I need to get my bearings on the comic side of things, Its just so hard to do.

I just like the idea of an elite autobot team, so my wreckers are ROTF Brawn, Drift (sue me), Heavytread with Groundspike, Seaspray and Breacher, PRiD Wheeljack (2 ninjas!), RTS Bumblebee W/ PRiD Cliffjumer's Hammer(Again, sue me) and DOTM Skyhammer W/ Nightstick.

I know that might sound wierd to alot of you, but in my little universe, the wreckers are just a team of elite autobot muscle.
I want to get the combiner, and Iron Army to add to it. That being said, god, I need more decepticons...

PCC Heavy Tread is Brawl.... Looks almost exactly the same as G1, minus some modern updates and PCC combining ports.

I would like to get a hold of a couple of Heavytreads, the second to use with Iron War set.

After searching Ebay it appears fellow Seibertronian 'Kanrabat' seems to have a case to get rid of!! I wonder what sort of great deal could be arranged for x2 with shipping to the U.K.? ;)

Ok! Flip the script!! 8)

Creating that Neo-Classics line-up for everyones favourite hit squad The Wreckers can be a difficult one.

My first thoughts when starting this thread was 'Come on Mel, get a shelf sorted for The Wreckers'.
Image

Unsure which figures would make that ultimate line-up a reality, I asked for your help... and you guys are coming through with some great ideas!

Mixing up previous and current toy lines from Transformers with 3rd party figures is the perfect way to represent The Wreckers in a modern classic way.

Tweeking the line-up of past, present and maybe future Wreckers is my current project. Full-time, part-time, fringe and deceased members are all fair game for this project! ;)

One problem I have now encountered is... scale?
There are a number of suggestions offered which drops the figures into a Voyager scale but also as many, if not more in the Deluxe/Scout scale?
Aaugh!
Image

So whats a Transformers fan to do? :???:

I know! :WRECKERS: Create line-ups across both scales!! :WRECKERS:

Just dont tell the wife...!! :-$

Dude, the Wreckers are a rag-tag bunch, they don't have to be perfectly in scale. As long as you make sure of the following, you should be ok

Broadside is the biggest, followed by Roadbuster/Impactor

Guzzle is tiny.

Sorry for the delay in getting my own pics up, been a tad busy recently!

But check this out for a potential Wreckers Sandstorm stand-in...

Asia GDO Sandstorm

I think he would sit quite well in a Scout/Deluxe Class line-up?
Whatcha think..? ;)

;) Thanks to Robot Kingdom for the pic ;)

I've never really cared for Sandstorm in particular but that should be a very good stand in. That way if nothing better comes along, you'll still have one!

Very true. At least the colors and one alt mode are correct. I mean there is no good figure to be repainted as him right now. All the helicopters are really wrong for him, and the dune buggies are, well, they chose the best one in my opinion.

Well guys, I have to say some of you have come up with some great suggestions for that all time Neo-Classics line-up for everyones favourite team of commandos The Wreckers!!

With everyones help I have finally managed to whittle down my line-up which covers as many as I could, be they past, present, future, dead, temporary or just plain wannabes! ;)

I had hoped to retain some type of class/sizing throughout but as well all know, doing that can be a little hit or miss, so please allow for a couple of odd shaped fellas!

Here goes...

Roadbuster ~ CM Corp Mugen Calibur [Voyager]
Springer ~ Asia GDO Generations Springer [Deluxe]
Ironfist ~ Energon Strongarm [Scout]
Rack n Ruin ~ 2x Iron Giant =;
Whirl ~ Revenge of the Fallen Whirl [Voyager]
Rotorstorm ~ Dark of the Moon Skyhammer [Voyager]
Sandstorm ~ Human Alliance Sandstorm [Basic/Deluxe]
Leadfoot ~ Power Core Combiner Leadfoot [Scout]
Scoop ~ Cybertron Landmine [Deluxe]
Guzzle ~ Cyberverse Guzzle [Commander]
Seaspray ~ Reveal the Shield Seaspray [Voyager]
Kup ~ Generations Kup [Deluxe]
Perceptor ~ Reveal the Shield Perceptor [Deluxe]
Warpath ~ Generations Warpath [Deluxe]
Drift ~ Generations Drift [Deluxe]
Blurr ~ Generations Blurr [Deluxe]
Wheeljack ~ Generations Wheeljack [Deluxe]
Ultra Magnus ~ Fansproject City Commander [Voyager]

Still needed...

Impactor ~ Fall of Cybertron Impactor? ROTF Bludgeon?
Topspin ~ Fall of Cybertron Topspin? DOTM Topspin?
Twin Twist ~ Fall of Cybertron Twin Twist? DOTM Armor Topspin?
Broadside ~ Fansproject Assaulter?
Pyro ~ Botcon Pyro?

...any more Ive missed? :-?

The majority of this list are still readily available from all good stockists which makes gaining The Wreckers on your shelf a definite 'to do'!

Now all I have to do is get them all out of storage, or out of their MISB and get them displayed in my Detolf display case in all their glory! :D

So come on robot lovers, lets get them pictures taken and uploaded! :WRECKERS:

Took your advice on -not- Ironfist, nice little figure he is too!

I also received my Universe Tankor - hoping to 'Impactorise' him soon.

This is the base figure - he's pretty Impactorish already. Cannon - check. Alt mode - check. lots of orange - check.

;) I know, I know, my pictures are on their way..! ;)

Whilst browsing the Toy Galleries for new additions, I came across this fella, Energon Roadblock!
Image
Now I was thinking maybe this guy could make a good stand-in for Pyro (or was Roadblock actually a member himself?) for a Neo-Classics Wreckers line-up? :-?
