Wii- 88mb wow...
Ps3- 256 MB of Rambus XDR DRAM decent amount... could use 512
360- 512 MiB of 700 megahertz GDDR3 RAM on a 128-bit bus

Sound-
Wii- Stereo - Dolby Pro Logic II-capable... wow how out of date
Ps3- 7.1 digital audio, Dolby TrueHD, and many other sound and audio capabilitys
360- 5.1-channel Dolby Digital surround sound with 32bit processing

Storage-
Wii- 512mb of flash storage oooo scary though the SD cards are pretty useful,
Ps3- 20gb - 60gb harddrives, ethernet, usb 2.0 capable with flash drives, bluetooth 2.0, HDMI 1.3 capable of from 480i up to 1080p
360- 12x DVD drive, 20gb detachable harddrive, usb 2.0, now capable of 1080p

So yea as you can see the other 2 systems have parts that are quite costly and shows as to why they are at the prices they are and comparing parts by parts the Wii is 1 generation behind on hardware.

Yes, but Nintendo is making up for that with good games and the Wii-mote that allows for exclusives and better functionality and/or different gameplay on multi-platform titles. I don't see the point in your memory argument, seeing as the Wii is so much cheaper that you can buy flash cards.

We all know that the Wii is less powerful. But, it has better games.

"Going to" are the key words here. Not many people can afford it right now.

Canada has quite a few HD channels and since all broadcasting signals in a couple years will have 720p or 1080p signals then yea HDTVs will be needed unless u don't wanna enjoy it.

And HDTVs are quite cheap, you can get a nice CRT 20' for only 300$.

And better games? Frankily they all have put out decent games in the past couple months, and Powersurge here asked how it was crappy so I told him how the Wii is crappy hardware wise.

Yes but the handheld market is too much different then the console market and frankly most of the stuff about people saying the PsP and DS when they first came out was bull, wasen't there a rumor or something sayin the DS attacked a person and a PsP killed someone? Its all crap by the media, hell I want a DS and all the consoles but its just not worth it right now there are still too many bugs in the systems.

I don't care about hardware that much. I don't think it should be this big of an issue. The question is: which has better games?

This is why I got a DS before a PSP. The PSP has better tech, but the DS has better games. Same with Wii vs. 360.

When's the last time you went into a TRU and herd a little kid say "The Wii has Mario YAY!!! But, the 360 has a 20 gig flash-drive and better graphics..."?

True enough, the DS has a bigger and more expanding line up then the PSP will ever have. The Wii vs the 360 though that would be a bit close, the 360 did have the upper hand by being released really early.

Where have you been? Most media makes fun of Nintendo! The Gamecube is the purple lunch box! All systems are ripe for a bashing, and the VG press does it!

YOu know whats funny, HD is only really noticable to real experts who knows what to look for. Not everyone can tell the difference from 720 and 1080. And for you to get the higher numbers you need very expensive wires. Also, Wii ahs a better library, 360 has a great library also, and ps3 has dissapointed. Fact is Wii is a next gen console, looks great, not that far off from the rest, and I dont care to o much about bench numbers, if developers do not know how to really take advantage of the parts. I want good games, and if they can look great, thats a plus, reason why I still play SNES and other older console games, because I want fun games, which are hard to come by these days.

He said CRT, as in a monitor.
I have a monitor hooked on my 360 and it looks awesome. Saved me loads of money on some highly expensive tv that I won't be using to watch tv anyway.
