Thats also true for other figures in hte Dark of the Moon line,like Ratchet.

Is it my imagination or are there a lot of people who seem unable to grasp the concept of standard 5mmm pegs and holes?

And they've been standard (for the most part) for 10 years!

DOTM Cyberverse Commander Blackout has a small peg in front of his propellor where Skorponok can store in robot mode when he's not a pistol. It takes some effort to do, but it makes it sad that the Legion class is more screen accurate than the voyager.

RtS/United G2 Optimus Prime has a matrix molded on the inside panels which end up behind the windscreen in robot mode. I thought it was a really nice touch!

It's very hard to see on the RtS version thanks to the orange translucent plastic on black. I don't know how much easier it is to see on the United version.
On the bright side, SG Ultra Magnus uses colorless clear plastic so the (Reconfiguration) Matrix should be plain visible.

It wasnt the fact that they are 5mm peg holes. it's the fact that, If you look at Roadbuster's hands, they don't look like they can hold anything.

I'm sure I can't be the first to have noticed this, but I'll mention it anyway. I'm sure everyone that's familiar with Nitro BB is aware of the giant hollowness between his back and his backpack kibble. Well, I was fiddling with it and there's this tab on the hinge that connects the thruster-part to the top of the car. This tab will sit in a groove in the back of his pelvis quite nicely. It's right underneath of the screw-hole.

The result is a backpack that sits considerably closer to his back. There's still some hollowness, but it's greatly reduced. He does end up with a Warpath-esque flap behind his head, where the mechtech port on the altmode hood is.

So I haven't see any pics of this being done online, but on Prime: Soundwave, the feet seems to bother a lot of people, and the best solution until now, for me, has been to make the tip of the drone mode form a second contact point as support for the ankle. But instead of making the tip the contact point, you can rotate the uav hood piece upwards as far as it will go, and then bring the whole assembly arm rotated down so that the support contact point is flat (much flatter anyway than before) and you actually have kibble that isn't atrocious. Just looks like he has a large footprint and therefore a player .
