More than likely an old one, but up until the other day I had no idea that RTS Jazz's gun has the 3mm pegs on either side so you can attach his speakers and make some kind of sonic boom shotgun.

This is just a size class correction. When compared to ROTF voyager Long Haul, I discovered that either he's supposed to be a deluxe, Or ROTF deluxes Arcee and Battleblade Bumblebee are supposed to be voyagers. Conclusions anyone?

Long Haul is a tad stumpy at the head but...how could you say that he's the same size as a deluxe? He's gigantic!
Image

Arcee is just tall because...well...have you SEEN her robot mode? She's a mess of extending bits of robotic mess.

Battle Blades Bee is just a smidge on the tall for a deluxe.

TL;DR:
Height =/= size class.
Amount of plastic == size class.

Agreed, he is bulky. Definitely a voyager, unlike more recent offerings.

Just curious, who let you know? or did you figure it out yourself?

Has anyone found any other way for Classics Octane to store is hair comb of doom in robot mode?

I don't have Octane (though I'd kind of like to), but I'd always assumed that it was intended to be a giant bladed weapon/scissor weapon.

I didnt really like the scissor/ hair comb weapon and i was messing about with it and found you can connect it to his arm so its like a riot shield kind of like a homage to his G1 self

Good find dude, I might have to try that. The comb weapon is ridiculous.

It makes a nice shield but one can also balance it on a little shelf on his back and spread it like a V (or larger version of his wings). Kinda looks like he has four wings. It's not very secure though.

Yes, But it's the figures that are concerned. You can make a fairly realistic Battle Gaia from them, that is all

Thanks dude it took me a awhile to figure it out and a lot of googling looking at other people's ways but i couldn't find any way to make him hold it as a shield instead of a comb. I also bought that bts teletran set for the gun and it looks not too bad either but the paint apps aren't the best

For anyone who has Maketoys Giant, or is interested, not everyone knows the following gimmicks:

1.) The pistons that come with Dump Truck/Longhaul can attach to the forearm/generator pieces that come with Bulldozer/Bonecrusher and Excavator/Scrapper to form jackhammers. (There are handles on either side, allowing the figures to use them as such.) These silver pistons can also be reversed to show their screwdriver tips, and can be used as weapons in Giant/Devastator mode.

2.) The chest shield, which doubles as an exhaust for Dump Truck/Long Haul is also a hand held shield for the bots to use.

3.) Both Scavenger and Mixmaster have extending ankle joints. There's a gray button beneath the silver piston on Scavenger, and two on the sides of Mixmaster's waist, that when pressed, allow the ankle to extend. (This is not listed in the instructions. On some Mixmasters in the sets, there's flash from the mold that must be cut away for this gimmick to work.)

Most of this stuff isn't listed in the instructions. Some are shown in fan pics and one or two promotional pics, but most don't know about these features and Maketoys doesn't go out of it's way to report such things.

Neat gimmicks that further sell the set.

EDIT: One more...
TW-01 Hegemon (Megatron)...his scope sits on a panel that swings to the side of his arm for transformation, it's also shown like this in the instruction manual. However, on the bottom of the scope, there's two slots that seemingly have no purpose, but they do... There's two tabs on the top of his forearm and the scope can rest there. It makes the figure look show accurate (as that's where the placement of Megatron's cannon was), but it strips away arm articulation to achieve this. Still, a really, really neat feature, if a bit parts formy.

You can store Drift's longsword in his side scabbards. I didnt know about that until I saw it in the galleries. It's useful, and certainly better than it being on his back.

not exactly. have you tried it? the scabbards aren't a hollow tube, the bottom of them is solid, so the sword ends up hanging out halfway.

what you can do is open out the windows that are folded up inside there, and slide it in there.

Yes, that's what is shown in the gallery. One can see two swords in the same scabbard:
