Despite some changes in how it transforms, FOC Soundwave can still do an unofficial boom box mode like WFC Soundwave could

Sorry for the bad pic, only camera I have is a 3DS.

Nice picture, man, the angle and color look good. I like how you set up your Air Raid. The placement of the blade looks good, I have to try that. I had to tape the sword together, it was missing some plastic and wouldn't stay on.

I was real excited to see a Cybertronian Swoop, but using a sword as his head makes his head too thin. And then in robot mode, he doesn't feel like Swoop without the iconic Pteranodon head as his chest. So after a week or so, I too changed him into a jet mode (pics below, I don't have a flickr account yet so attachments are the best I can do right now). I prefer a pointy nose cone but I do like the overall look of him. It is kind of like g1 Scattershot, or kind of like a Warthog plane.

He won't be my classics Swoop. I'm not convinced he is Air Raid, or Fireflight either. I'm still trying to figure out who he is.

Who ever he is, I really like him.

The nose of the jet looks sufficiently animalistic that I'm wondering if an older character with an animal mode might fit the bill.

I'm getting flashes of Snarler, Skullcruncher, Terrorsaur, Cutthroat, maybe Cryotek.

Honestly, though? Wingthing. Or Snapdragon.

Well, I know the alt mode won't make a lick sense to everyone else, but if you look at the robot mode's earth colors, and the fact that his head is all in chrome, to me, he is Chromedome. So, when he is in his alt mode I just keep him low to ground like a hovercraft. I'm gonna keep him as such until Hasbro makes a new one. I know there's a third party figure coming soon, but for the price that it will most likely be, I don't think it will be worth it.

Voyager FE Optimus has a fully detailed cab interior. Steering wheel, seats, console, the whole shebang.

This isnt so much of a 'can do' but felt a little silly once I had realised...

Transformers Reveal The Shield - Mindset

I have only just seen the small black heat sensitive faction symbol as its on a black background, his black missile launcher, despite him staring right at me for the last few months... but thats not the worst thing about this post?

I have only just realised that the Hasbro-friendly Transformers convention called BOTCON is called that because it uses parts of the Transformers factions to create its name!

AutoBOT and DeceptiCON...!
I used to think it was just a CONvention which encompassed roBOTs!! Even using this websites smilies in my posts didnt make it click :BOT: :CON:

Don't worry, you were half right - from the TF Wiki:

"The name "BotCon" was coined by Jon, and was meant to convey both a shortening of "roBOT CONvention" and "AutoBOT and DeceptiCON". "

You are just crappy at subtext :P

He hasnt been in the show yet, accept for when his picture popped up, and the rage of the dinobots version is similar to that, he's cybertronion, thus different from the toy in that regard, so did they base the toy off of concept art? Or an un used CG model? If so, why add in the 'fake' bits to make him seem more accurate? Hes got no reason to be accurate, unless he pops up in season 3.

You might be right, maybe he does have a CG model, I hope that he ends up in the show.

The fake doors are werid. They definitely resemble the other toys with doors on the chest but they are a little more streamed lined and connected to the robot. Could they be more chest armor that transforms into inner truck parts and less outside door storage in robot mode?

As for the fake wheels, good job pointing them out, and there have been way too many fake wheels recently. In this case, they might be cogs or gears and not tire wheels. If a robot transforms, it would make sense to have round inner parts and transforming gears.

There are toys being made for him for Beast Hunters. I'm assuming he's making an appearance in the show. I can't imagine he'd have like four different molds if he wasn't important to the show.

PRID: Cyberverse Commander, Powerizers/Voyager.
BH: Weaponizers/Leader/Supreme (or whatever they're calling it at this point*) and I think either a Deluxe or another Cyberverse. (IIRC.)

Awful lot of toys, even if it is just the three, and not four, for someone not on the show. I think he'll make an appearance.

*= I know they're changing size classes, gimmicks, names, whatever. I don't care to be accurate and I don't want to be corrected. Thanks, but no thanks.

He's getting another Voyager. Probability of being based off of this image is likely, unless they spike the existing mold.

My guess is they'll spike up the existing mold. The existing mold, other than the shoulders shown in that artwork, looks an awful lot like the toy I have sitting in my collection.

The torso and legs are almost identical to the toy. The only difference is that the toy's leg wheels can wrap around the legs, and the paint apps don't match up to the artwork shown there.

Plus, I'd imagine it would be cheaper just to spike it up and add that ..."smoky" coloring thing they're doing now, rather than make a brand new mold.

However, this is Hasbro and we already have plenty of expensive proof that they're willing to make pointless new molds of preexisting toys in the same toy line. So, yeah, it's possible they could make a new Ultra Magnus. It'd be stupid and silly, considering their current financial troubles and job cutting, but I could see them doing it.

Prime Soundwave comes packaged in vehicle mode, with Laserbeak plugged on top of him. In robot mode he plugs into Soundwave's chest. However I then realized that there is nothing stopping you from leaving Laserbeak in the chest in vehicle mode, freeing up the port on his back, allowing him to have a 5mm post weapon in vehicle mode, and somewhere to store that weapon in robot mode!

Also, it took me a while to transform his legs properly.

Oh, and does anyone else think that he looks scarily similar to an Evangelion unit? He even has the shoulder pylons.

...Slag. The Neon Genesis Evangelion and Transformers universes have collided. We're screwed.

Indeed, he is very similar to an EVA unit, as is Prime Starscream. Which provides particularily blood-curdling material for your personal canon. In my collection, WFC Soundwave is the guy himself and Prime SW is a really creepy take on Senator Ratbat, with some MP EVA unit thrown in for good measure.

Now, if someone has a suggestion for an good weapon to use with his hands, please tell me. For those who don't know, you can also bring his chest/arms assembly forward, but it makes the robot mode look weird, so I usually don't do it.

FOC Grimlock can hold his sword in his stubby little T-Rex hands.

Now, due to the lack of articulation in them and how they're molded, it's not very practical, and it's hard to get a decent pose, but come on, it's a robot dinosaur wielding a sword. How cool is that?
