SICK BURN.

Although, yeah, I'm actually more shocked when TFs DON'T use the 5mm peg. It's pretty much the standard for mainline deluxes/voyagers and has been for a damn long time.

Pretty much? No, it's the straight out standard and has been for years. Bin/Alt and Alternity are the only line that don't use them, but Bin/Alt predates the idea I think.

5 mm pegs and holes became the overall standard in 2002 with Armada. But before that the size was used somewhat consistently in G1. In fact, try switching weapons around between Metroplex and Scramble City Leaders. ;)
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

A lot of G1 figures use more or less 5mm pegs. There's some variance due to its origins which leads to funny things, like me noticing that Snarl's gun can be held by legions figures. Quite the upgrade.

It's possible to use certain LEGO connector pieces to allow a figure to hold a Minicon in a 5mm hand hole by plugging the connector into the Minicon's port, and then putting the other end into the hand. It's the connector that has one end as a VERY short X-girder, and the other end as a very short open hole tube.

Movie deluxe Arcee's license plate says "TF7407", which I'm certain means July 4th 2007, the day the first movie came out.

I had owned Swoop for about 5 years at the time when I thought I broke his arms in robot mode by extending them. I panicked for 2 seconds then realized it's supposed to do that. All that time I just thought he looked goofy in robot mode.

Not too surprising since Metroplex was designed to interact with the Scramblers.

So while fiddling with my PRiD Kup I noticed that his crotch swivels down to give him better proportions and little extra height. I always feel that toy is somewhat under-appreciated. :D

That's not a hidden feature. It's in the instructions. It's a necessary component to form robot mode.

The double open tube pieces will work as well, and there's also a short tube/peg piece that can do the job for shallow fist holes.

WARNING: It has been my experience though that not all Minicon joints are created equal, and that there have been several intances of the Lego peg actually weakening the center post in the Minicon port. You have been warned...

I noticed last night that the two silver side piece of MP Megatron's gun mode that fold along the side of the gun and fold on his back in robot mode are on a slider. I don't know how I've transformed him so many times without noticing that feature, I think the things were sliding themselves without me noticing.

PRiD Wheeljack has several spots for his swords aside from the pegholes on his shoulders:

1) Underneath the vehicle mode
2) Under the front of the car, sticking out in front like an attack mode
3) Right next to his head are two slots they can slide into for easy storage

Quite versatile, isn't he? :)

You'd be amazed at what the instructions don't say, or what Hasbro's team omits. It's quite impressive.

For example, Generations Scourge. Those doofy looking wings just hanging off of his cape is ridiculous. There's a double hinge when you open them to retrieve his weapons. Open the wings up and push that hinge back and he can form his G1 version cape. Looks tremendously better, and you can tell that's what it's for.
