Weapon: Null-Ray Rifle
Draw, I suppose.

Both are immortal and can dish out similar amounts of damage. Dante does, however, have the edge in the amount of weapons he carries, and is damn-near impossible to kill...unless you're controlling him during a DMC game.

TBH, I know very little about Thor outside of his recent movie, but Dante's certainly got more tricks up his sleeve.

Like Thor, Dante controls lightning through at least one of his weapons. He is much more agile and has more technique and a wider array of weapons. Though Thor has more raw power, I have to give this one to Dante because of his greater ability to fight. Though it is arguable whether one of them can kill the other, you don't have to kill someone to win a fight. (Unless you're in the Thunder Dome, of course.)

And that's Dante at his weakest. And like Evank_Horizon said, he's got two electric-based weapons, Nevan and Alastor.

Yeah, that was the opening to DMC 3, a prequal to 1 and 2. The strongest he could've been was in 4. I think the anime took place between 2 and 4. And even though Dante from 3 has the same attitude as the new Dante from the new Devil May Cry game, I think the new Dante would be as strong as the Old Dante from 2. But I think he still has nothing on Thor. Yeah, Dante had 2 different lightning weapons, but Thor can summon lightning from the sky which I think could be way more powerful than from Dantes weapons.

According to the writers, after obtaining Sparda (The sword, not his dad) in the first game, he got a massive boost in power, and is now the strongest entity in the series.

It's never stated when 2 takes place, it was so unpopular that no other writer has been willing to talk about it in the games. Supposedly, it would take place well after 4.

Dante has fought lightning-summoning enemies before, I seriously doubt that would be the deciding factor.

I've only played 1 and 3 and watched the anime, and that was a long time ago so I could be wrong. But I still doubt he would beat mjolnir.

In 3, Dante is punched so hard it embeds him in a stone floor. In literally the first scene of the first game, Trish blasts him with her own lightning powers, which happens a few more times until she actually switches over to Dante's team, and then again at the hands of the numerous other electricity-wielding demons throughout the series. He's been hit with literally everything Mjolnir could have thrown at him, and it always fails to slow him down.

Seriously how often can Thor actually land hits on Dante? Usually when he fights someone so agile, someone kicks in to help him. Dante can hit just as hard on any range. He can take as much damage and regenerate. But he is faster, more agile and has more skill. Thus he can dish more damage/second and dodge more incoming hits. In a one on one fight Thor is at a disadvantage.
