I would, though, maybe more hope for that they just make a HUGE upgrade kit to th exsisting game. Some more missions, and of course, some new characters and maps.
if you read this, get a life.

Weapon: Spinning Augers
After seeing the love and attention that High Moon put into WFC, i don't care what they do for a sequel. I'll buy whatever they make next regarding Transformers.

War for Earth could work.

War for <Some other Planet> (that occurred when WoE was going on) could work too.

Does anyone know what the latest sales figures are for WFC?

Rumour has it that it sold around 400,000+ on theXbox360.

It's just a shame there really is not much marketing on this game , and is real up to the fans and people who played it to spread the word how actually good the multiplayer really is.

Here's my feed back on War for Cybertron and things I'd like see in a sequel/DLC or whatever comes next. brace yourself It's going be long.....

Which is just Gears of War controls anyways. If it is not broke, don't fix it.

This sentiment right here is one of my biggest beefs with War for cybertron. It lifts entirely too much from HUMAN based conventions into a transformers game. Ripping off gears of war might be a nice starting point to make a good game, but that's not how you make a good TRANSFORMERS game.

I think WFC is a great game, but it needs work on becoming a great transformers game as my brother joked it’s Halo with transformer skins. This is why I'd say the revenge of the fallen game is actually a better transformers game. It gets the feel right as transforming moves seemlessly into the combat while it's mostly a glorified spirit alot of times in WFC. (not that I don’t transform in WFC, because I do a lot.) The controls might been harder to learn but you ultimately had a lot more control and options. Which WFC melee is weak. When you place it on an analogue stick as a button that shows it’s an after thought. ROTF had a nice mix of melee and shooting to it.
Granted it's multiplayer mode and general balance were horribly uneven. Flyers were overpowered and G1 starscream wrecked anyone in 1 shot with his special. The game's gameplay was faster and moved the way a transformers game would expect. I think there’s a lot of good ideas ROTF had that could be tweaked into the next WFC game.

Characters had unique weapons and stats making them all feel different. In WFC there's hardly anything unique to characters and a lot of their specials are rather lack luster. Prime, Megatron, and Starscream are only ones to actually sport their iconic weapons. Which Prime and Megatron actually can discard them because of that. Everyone should have had 1 unique gun. Even if that breaks the carrying 2 weapon mold. I’m ok with back up guns found elsewhere. Just transformers aren't supposed be an army of interchangeable drones.

Everyone else gets whatever standard issue gun the developers decided to toss them. Which they can swap out and change with no concern as it is rather cold and mechanic. There's no heart to the characters weapons designs. Which you have ammo and reload (and pick up grenades..I don't think I've ever seen that happen in transformers as all their weapons are self contained.)I'm sorry this isn't call of duty, get that crap out of here. I'm not saying I want to be able fire indefinitely but the characters themselves even say Weapon cooling not reloading. Which some weapons just do not have enough ammo for campaign mode, leaving you constantly looking for ammo. I’d rather they just went with a cool down overheat for the campaigns. It definitely breaks immersion to the game having transformers looking for ammo.

I get they wanted to make the game balanced for multiplayer. So they started off with less potent weapons and abilities sticking heavily with tried and true tactics of other games. For a sequel please try harder to give characters a bit more personality.

- You're too damn fragile. Again some of the direction is fine for multiplayer, but multiplayer, campaign, and escalation mode can all be separately balanced for their own purposes. When I play as freaking optimus Prime or Megatron I don't need be dropping in 2 freaking hits. For a campaign mode against large swarms of bad guys you need a character with a bit more standing power. You find yourself constantly on your last bar and hiding behind cover or scraping by trying find heals. Which the auto regen for campaign should really go all way to full health if you're out of combat for a time. Basically your surviability should be more like the revenge of the fallen games.

Especially in boss fights as I hated dying to trypticon and hearing the speech at the beginning of the fight over and over. (to point I turned off the voice overs till I got the patterns down.) They need have all boss start up speeches only play once.

- The level need tweaked. All missions are 10 parts(besides the two end boss fights). That's just too long in my opinion. I'd rather the game gave me 5 part missions and let me play as a greater variety of characters. Or the mission were an area such as ROTF and took place there rather than being all these long winding corridors.

There needs be more variety in boss fights. Most the boss fights are what I call titan battles.(there's 4 types of boss fights, titans, swarms(tons of minions swarm for an endurance fight.) , duel bosses and puzzle (boss that you need some quirk to defeat) or some combo of the 4.) You basically fight this large slow moving boss that stays to his corner of the room and takes shots and swings at you.(which those come in two flavors; always able to be damaged or limited window of vunerablility a popular choice in this game.) There was only 2 duel battles(soundwave and Starscream.) in the game where you fight someone who's more or less your equal in a brawl. The characters tend be about the same size as the playable character.

to be continued...

- Story quirks. I despised the Dark Energon subplot. It just had entirely too much plot convenience.(similar how Key worked in animated during the first season.) One minute it’s this unstable weapon of WMD that blows up stuff.(I’d fine if it was simply how described for the entire first mission and nothing more.) It makes purple spikes everywhere in another instance. Next it takes over things and makes it property of the Decepticons simply by exposure. Which it happens to make the Decepticons stronger but kills everyone else. The whole thing is lame.

There’s no explanation given for any of it as Megatron just survives direct contact because he’s Megatron. (In general Megatron alittle too Doctor Doom like in his ability to always make his plans pan out exactly way he wants.) Dark Energon is basically Angolmois as it comes from Unicron. Why would something that comes from Unicron want to help Megatron? The dark energon angle needs dropped or a whole lot of explaining to make it less short bus.
At very least I’d like it to be down played as the decepticons never needed help smacking around the autobots in any series prior. It’s basically the army fighting the cops and civilians of a population. It’s no shocker the decepticons being literal war machines stop the autobots for majority of the time till reaching earth where they get tons of back up. I fail see why they needed bring in dark energon for them to beat down the autobots for this story. At very least could just left it simply a WMD that damaged the planet from over usage (something Megatron would do.) than this magical substance that controls or destroys everything the plot calls for.

I agree the story needs stay on cybertron for awhile. They have a lot more to play with. (Granted they don’t feel like giant transforming robots in a world that’s the correct size for them. You feel small at times with the massive bosses.) I’d like see a story about the resistance movement and the rise of the fembots as they fight against say shockwave. It’d be good see a lot of other characters get some more spotline as we saw a lot of the two leaders for first game. (As we should they’re most iconic characters of the series.) They left the game with the autobots just building the Ark. No reason to ship out just yet.
-Local Co op, I should be able play with atleast one other person in same room as me in both campaign and the multiplayer modes.(what is with gaming doing away with local multiplayer? Did these people never have any friends over at their house or siblings like I did.) In this day and age of massive HD TVs people can afford split their screen and not be hindered. It’s not like back in 80s when we were kids playing on black and white 19 inch TVs. I’m currently using 54 inch TV and splitting it into 4ths to play halo was still a better view than I had a as kid. We can handle 2 people for sure.

- Leveling up in campaign/Escalation mode.

I think be cool if the campaign had levels for characters that could be possibly shared for Escalation mode for characters(which would give you a reason play Escalation mode as everyone and more over all replay value.) or one over all level for all your characters for an entire faction like ROTF how you can customize bonuses. Allowing you pick different powers for each character and tweaking them as they don’t have fit into exact archtypes of classes being iconic characters. The balance issues is a bigger side of the multiplayer mode where players kill each other. I’m not as worried about balance when smacking around the AI. The computer doesn’t care if something is somewhat overpowered. Just make it fun as possible and save the tighter balance for MP.

I think there needs be scenarios to Escalation mode. I mean there is but taking it to next level. Like you’re fighting thru the Kaon prison and trying release prisoners and escape. Not just being boxed into a room and unlocking doors till you find get overwhelmed. Such as fighting off custom bosses for the scenarios every 10-15 waves and the levels themselves changing over time. Not just players opening doors but parts of the levels just get ripped open when Omega Supreme tears a wall apart trying get to you. (or have an army of guardian style robots like Omega attacking.) There’s a story driven goal as well just staying alive. Something unique to each stage so people want to dive into all them and see all cool bosses they face.
-Multiplayer

I’d like more customization options. They’re rather weak as get one of the iconic characters bodies and recolor them. I get they need to resemble what they transform into to a large degree but you should still be able tweak minor aspects of them. Also give a wider color palette for them.(and three separate colors not two. Most transformers are 3 colors.) The Decepticons colors are extremely muted. It’s hard to tell if you changed any colors at all. All pastels make look like the decepticons were a runaway Easter Parade on the attack.

We definitely need more bodies for multiplayer. I’d like to see 3 male characters for each side and 1 female for all classes.(I expect the game to be male dominated but I think girls should have atleast one for all classes. It s strange they can get a fembot in 2 classes but for only 1 side.) With the current line up we got a few more holes to fill due to that. Here’s a short list of picks solely to cover all gaps.
*Scouts/Cars
- Autobots : None they’re good exactly how they are.
- Decepticons: Black Arachnia , We’ve seen enough liberties taken I could see the original evil girl reimagined as a car. As a back up choice I’d go with Crasher or her name in the movie line Fracture.

*Trucks/Leaders
- Autobots: Elita-1 , Id go with her animated colors of Yellow and blue since we don’t need two pink fembots.
- Decepticons: Strika, She could easily be the soldier too but she was a commander for the Cons in both series she appeared.
- MotorMaster, he’s in the DS version. The stunticons leader would be the perfect truck to add for the cons.
*Tanks/Soldiers
- Bots: Grimlock based off his war with in appearance would work nice for a soldier.
:Chromia; She’s the toughest of the fembots. Only fitting she would be a soldier for the bots.
- Cons: Thunderblast, she’d be a slicker looking soldier. If you took her armada alt form and slightly tweaked to have treads it she’d fit the job as she has a massive gun on her hovercraft.

*Jets/Scientists
- Bots: Air Razor, probably the best known female flyer. I could see her remade into a jet. (especially since there’s the unicron trilogy version that is a jet sporting her name.) Otherwise I’d say use Moon racer since Power glide was her partner or Flare up.

- Cons: Ramjet/ Dirge/Thrust , The coneheads were part of the seekers from G1 and in the DS version too. The Decepticons need a 3rd Jet model, and they’d work nicely. Plus High moon can add 3 new characters for price of one due to being pallete swapping heh.

I’d love see more characters added but those all would my short list of gaps to cover. Not just a wish list of transformers as that could go on and on.
Ultimately I do feel War for cybertron is a good game as a starting platform for a new series a game to come from. I just am no way completely content with what’s been done so far and say it’s enough and 100 % right across the board as some other people might suggest. It’s a good first attempt, but they played it safe a lot and it showed. Now take it to next level.

One last thing I just remembered...I want them put something more interesting to look at in the damn loading screens. May be some art work or trivia like the ultimate alliance games do. Something besides this big flashing circle with tips you see dozens of times. It's extremely boring and unimaginative.

Anyone know a good place toss all my rants at High moon. I feel it be a sheer waste to not put this in front of them. I'm sure they get tons of feed back but I figure they definitely wont see it if I dont ever put it where they can.

well, HMS knows how badly we want characters like ultra magnus, prowl, and a ton of other characters. either they are holding back on us, or they are planning big which explains why they haven't included characters like that to the dlc :CON:

I would like to see more campaign missions with more characters (as mentioned by others in this thread). While I've had the game since it was released, I'm not a hardcore gamer and I've only recently gotten into multi-player. It's very fun, but I still prefer the campaign mode overall.
