TMNT: Almost the best Turtles movie ever. (possible spoilers)

Welcome to the General Discussion area where just about anything goes! This area is designed to discuss all matters and does not necessarily have to be Transformers related. Please keep topics relevant.

Well the movie will draw in the kids but they'll tune into >> and watch it for a couple weeks then lose interest. Leading to an inevitable cancellations of the series when the hype fades. A lack of a series will compromise a possible sequel movie if there. So unless an entirely new series made by a different company is created there won't be a show to support the movie.

Now is a very concerning time in the TMNT fandom.

aw man, that quote just reminded me of how much i wish "pinky, elmyra and the brain" had never existed. of all the ways for a show to die, being retooled to death is by far the most painful. ninja turtles seems to be well on its way to the same fate. i agree, put it out of its misery, i hate seeing the decaying remains of formerly awesome shows.

oh, and looking back i guess i never posted anything about this movie here. ryan seems to dislike people "plugging" you-know-where in their posts, which is where i posted my thoughts upon seeing the film a week ago, so i'll just give a brief summary:

awesome movie. raph and leo have always been my two favorites (in that order), so you can bet i loved the focus on their relationship, especially the fight. my only problem was the lack of a substantial part for karai (imo a great, terribly underused character), which looks like it'll be remedied in the event of a sequel.

I had no idea. I should have known something was up when it on cost me $9.00.

I usually do not get to watch Saturday morning cartoons so I have never seen the Fast Forward show. I just checked my TV guide and it looks as if the orginal 2003 Turtles will be airing tomorrow.

Unfortunately it seems like the turtles will never again follow a story line related to the 1987 series since Laird and Eastmen the creators never really liked the old series since it didnt follow the comics and cince they now hold alot of the rights, tI doubt they would ever let anyone follow the old cartoon. Actually the 2003 series wasn't that bad, but Fast Forward is horrible, maybe they will go back to it eventually.

And just to clarify. Eastman no longer has any rights to the Turtles. He sold them all to Laird. And they didn't just dislike the 80's series. They downright hated it and thought it was utter garbage compared to what they had created.

I just got Volumes 4 and 5 of the original series at Wal-Mart for only $5.50.

Also I saw a DVD from the 2003 series called Mutants and Monsters. Is that part of the volume sets or just a collection of varies episodes from different season's.
